Yum! Oh my goodness. So delicious. Indian/Mexican food. You have to try it. I was seriously not prepared for how delicious the vegan taco was going to be. The sauce has just the right level of spice without overwhelming it’s delicious flavor. The«taco» shell is a wonderful soft moist texture. I forget the name of the bread that is used as the taco shell, but it’s the kind of recipe you want to marry a relative into their family to get. Plus these guys are so nice! So nice! It’s important to spend our hard earned dollars on people who take the time to create delicious meals, AND who are genuinely nice people. Plus the meals are very affordable and cook up quickly! It’s a win all around. This is one of the best reviews I have ever posted, and they deserve every word. What are you waiting for? Go now! ;)

This place has never disappointed me over the few years I have been enjoying their food; each item on the menu is always made to perfection! They offer a unique taste you cannot find anywhere else in San Antonio. If you are unsure whether you will like it, I suggest you at least give their Chicken Tandoori Bombay Taco a try! You have no idea what you are missing out otherwise! I always look forward to when Thursday roles around because I know the Bombay Salsa truck will be waiting for me!

MMMM *DROOL* Mexican AND Indian food fusion?! Bombay Salsa has the best of both worlds! This food truck should defenitly be next on your to do list. All the foods I tried were delicious and ordering is fast and fun. Placing your order is made easy it was similar to Chipotle’s order processing workflow system, pick your entrée then a protien and flavor style. Fortunately me and my boyfriend came across this food truck when we attended a Friday the 13th tattoo special at Bad Habits Tattoos. Bombay Salsa had a special side menu for the evening which included a super delicious Indian inspired taco called the Southside Bean and Cheese Taco. I highly recommend it as it was a very tasty taco! I also ordered a Briyani burrito(Recardo style with chicken) OMG It was heaven!!! Makes me wish I had 4 stomachs! Finally their Indian Lemonade and Gulab Jamun are defenitly a great way to end an awesome meal. :)

In short, never judge a book by its cover. I had been eyeing this truck for awhile but had been skeptical on trying it because of the location and the competition of taco cabana across the street. The location of the food truck is the parking lot of cvs and hidden from the frontage road by a dirty bar. At first glance I always assumed the truck was for street tacos, hoping to see some classics and some rarities like lingua. But don’t let the setting of a dimly lit parking lot fool you from this hidden gem. The food is Mexican and Indian fusion(which I first thought was an odd combination) and was pleasantly surprised with the food. I ordered the burrito, manga lassi, and Indian donuts. The burrito was the highlight of the meal. It seemed to blend the Indian with Hispanic roots of the truck owners. With savory spiced tastes of Indian influences and the buttery-ness of the tortilla and combination of chicken and rice from the Hispanic influence. As for the lassi and donuts, they were alright; but common staples that can be found at most Indian restaurants. For a food truck I gave it 4 stars. What holds this truck from getting 5 stars is that although the food was good, the menu as a whole(and lesser extent the burrito) didn’t completely«blend» together or be a complete fusion of tastes. I would’ve like to taste a more of a blend of familiar Indian spices and Hispanic spices.

Me and my husband have been going since it opened! Used to walk from the Maverick Creek Apartments. Bombay Salsa has only grown better and better in the last year. With more flavors to choose from, I wish I could be there every night to try it out. The family that owns it is so sweet, and so accommodating to vegetarian and vegan patrons! Five stars, best tacos of my life.
