My son and I had both never experienced Chicago style pizza so my husband had been very eager to try this place out and share the love of this uniquely awesome pizza pie with us. We were NOT sorry. We ordered a large triple topping with sausage, pepperoni and extra cheese. The cheesy goodness didn’t disappoint and the crust was flaky and delicious. There was a cinnamony spice in the sauce that seemed a bit excessive for my personal taste, and I couldn’t quite pinpoint what it was, but it didn’t bother my husband and I still really enjoyed the pizza. The menu gives you a nice heads up on order and cook times because a baked pie such as this takes time and is worth the wait. The staff was friendly when we picked up and my son is already planning out what he wants to try next. I will definitely be coming back in the future for a calzone or maybe even some of the delicious looking pasta, since they offer a manicotti and a chicken parm, among other tasty looking options. My eye is also on their Mediterranean style pizza, because I am a sucker for feta, spinach and tomato on a yummy crust. We ordered for pickup so I’m not sure about dine-in service but we will probably give it a go sometime soon. It will definitely be a special treat meal, though, as calories are aplenty and then some. Well worth the wait AND the calorie load, though. Best pizza we have had in San Antonio to date.

Great lunch specials and easy to order online! Very impressed with everything we’ve ordered from here-lasagna, Chicago style deep dish pizza, spaghetti, and calzones. A great find!

Yikes, overpriced average pizza. Disgusting buffalo wings — soft, no crunch outside, better tasting in a microwave. Extremely slow service. Underwhelmed, especially after reading all the fantastic Unilocal reviews. Paid reviews?

We were in search of a good Chicago deep dish style pizza and we found it! Being from Michigan, we can find restaurants like this upnorth but there’s not many in San Antonio. We ordered the special that consisted of a 2 topping deep dish pizza, salad, wings and a gallon of ice tea. The salad was sooo fresh and very good! The wings we had were honey bbq and they were quite delicious. My family is very picky about chicken wings but I would order these again. Now, onto the pizza… We ordered ours with pepperoni and ham. The cheese was sooooo gooey and it covered the entire pizza. They definitely don’t skimp! The service was great– we had Richard from Detroit and he was awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone and we will be back!!!

Delivery man was rude, pizza was worse than digiorno microwavable pizza. This was probably the worse pizza i have ever tasted. Just get domino’s or pizza hut

This place is amazing!!! The pizza was full of flavor, oozing with cheese, and all for a great price! I ordered the medium family special for my fiancé and I. It was more than enough food, wings, pizza, salad, and sweet tea. Everything was great. The guy who was working as super friendly and confident in the pizza, reassuring me that if i didn’t like it, he would deliver a new pizza. Rest assured, this wasnt even a problem! Pretty authentic chicago deep dish for san antonio. better than ginos. And for two comments down for Kaleb. .. . you couldn’t cut the pizza? Well guess what people, I had a little difficulty too, but are we that lazy that we can’t cut our own damn pizza at home? This isnt corporate owed domino’s or pizza hut where everything is cookie cut and frozen. This is a local San Antonio business providing authentic homemade pizza. The solution to your problem is not complicated sweetie!

Talk about a waste of time and a waste of money! Came here hoping for the best and nearly an hour and twenty minutes later I get soggy half-way done cheese sticks and a Chicago style pizza that was lukewarm at best. As if the food wasn’t bad enough, the service was rude! If I wanted to be treated like I’m an idiot and get insulted I’d go to Dick’s; the lady wanted to argue to me that the pizza only took thirty minutes when it took well over and hour and fifteen! I don’t normally write reviews, much less bad ones, but this place really took the cake on crappy service and crappy food.

If you are looking for a better than awesome pizza Chicago Pizza is the place to go. My best friend and I dined in we ordered a medium pizza because we were both really hungry needless to say we left home with a little less than half a pizza. The pizza was very flavorful and oozing with cheese and marinara. We will definitely go back. A lil tip: order ytour food before you walk out the door to lessen the wait time it may take 40 mins plus to cook your deep dish Pizza. A+

Pretty bomb pizza. Boyfriend wanted a large even though the waitress said a small could feed two.(it was just me and him) He can eat a lot. 4 toppings large deep dish 20.99. He was defeated by the pizza. 3 slices and he was out! Call in your order to lessen the wait!

Looking around to see what is consider«Chicago style pizza», you would of course expect that it would be made with consideration to the person buying it. It is great to see the slight expectations it can acquire when compared to the original Chicago style. This pizza is delicious and enjoyable, compared to an okay sense of Chicago style. Only one problem, it is hard to enjoy it when it is not cut well to where I can’t even grab a slice without a huge amount of struggle to even grab a single slice. As much as the pizza was enjoyable, it was work on my part to create a freaking slice for me to even not make a complete mess. I had to cut it myself to make slices. The employees there we’re understandable with my naïve questions when it came to misunderstanding certain things I came upon, which was okay but not great due to the fact that the majority of the time it felt like they were somewhat trying to intimidate me when they kept looking at me so awkwardly as if they want to talk to me negatively. Instead their eyes spoke. Overall the pizza was delicious, what I did not and did expect. For not cutting my pizza correctly(how can I enjoy it if I can’t even grab a single slice?), and for the awkward intimidation by the employees, I will have to give this place 3 stars.

One of the best deep dish pizzas I’ve ever had! While I’m usually partial to the NY style thinner crusts, on this particular day I was craving a gut bomb, and my god does this place deliver. We called in our order shortly after they opened on a Sunday(thanks to you Unilocalers who gave us that tip, because yes they do take a while to make) told them we’d be there in 20, got there about 30 minutes later and still waited an extra 10 minutes. That’s not a complaint, just a forewarning, I would have waited hours for this pizza. It was PERFECT. We went with a medium deep dish pepperoni and it had a deliciously perfect ratio of cheese to sauce to pepperoni. I will definitely be ordering from here again

The crust is amazing its not greasy, it’s buttery and it flakes like a dream! So good a lot of cheese and stuffed with pepperoni! Every bite I took I had a mouthful of pepperoni, so worth it. Good pricing!

Food was actually not bad. I’ve never had such rude service in my life. The lady ignored me the entire time and only answered to my fiancé. I was really excited for this place since my fiancé is from Chicago and he had been wanting to eat here. We both agreed we will be going somewhere else.

No Thank you. The cheese tasted like that lingering pizza cheese smell at Chuckee Cheese, if you know what I’m saying. It wasn’t so disgusting that I didn’t eat it but it was gross enough to not get another slice or return.

I have been coming to this location since I was a kid, I even had my birthday party here! This is where we get our pizza for dinner and Spurs games. When they opened up the Fredericksburg Road location it didn’t taste the same, then, they changed owners and it totally didn’t taste the same so we went back to this location. It’s seriously the best pizza in town, you can’t compare it to commercial pizza chains. We usually pick up the pizza and take it home, it takes about 15 – 30 minutes for preparation but its well worth the wait.

Well if i could give 3.5 stars i would have but since i can’t it will only get 3 stars. I like another reviewer had a similar experience. The pizza was amazing but the service was lacking. The cashier told us to seat ourselves anywhere and then it took forever for the waitress to arrive at our table. And when she finally did arrive she asked if we where ready to order, hello we hadn’t even been given any menus yet, kind of makes it difficult to order. Then it took quite awhile for her to get our sodas, we were the only table in the place as the other patrons were just leaving as we were arriving. Which brings me to the fact that there were three unbussed tables near us for the majority of our dinner. The pizza was amazing just don’t expect great service.

This place is definitely hidden but I wouldn’t call it a gem. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING takes forever here. I get that deep dish takes 40 or so minutes, I’m fine with that but it took 15 minutes just to get our drinks and 20 minutes to get breadsticks. The food was bipolar. Our pasta dishes were horrible but the deep dish pizza was awesome. My suggestion, order deep dish for take out and stay away from dining inside and eating anything but the pizza.

Excellent lunch specials. This place is a hidden gem. Nothing is subpar. Deep dish isn’t for everyone but it is authentic and you can’t find it just anywhere. It’s clean and the service is top notch.
