I love how I was greeted when I walked in! Excellent customer service and I love how they offered samples and recommendations. I love supporting family owned businesses, especially when they treat you well! When I walked in I told them I had never been there and they were so kind as to take extra time telling me all about it! Love the shortcakes and Oreos! And the dulce de leche froyo is the bomb!

Okay, seriously, everything in here looks freaking fantastic. I wish I had a million dollars and the metabolism of a small child so I could eat whatever I wanted here. I stopped by one night to find a present for a friend, and of course I had to get a tamarind apple! I’ve been obsessed since I was given one a year ago, and I’ve been on a mission to find one ever since. I chose Chocolateka because it was the closest one I could find, but I think it also turned out to be the most expensive option I could’ve picked as well. Some have complained about the service, but we had fantastic service. The girl was nice and friendly, and she suggested multiple options for the gift. She even gift wrapped the chocolate covered apple I got and put a cute little«Happy Birthday» bow on top.(I’m not sure how much this cost, but my total was $ 15 for one chocolate apple gift wrapped and my tamarind apple with all the fixin’s.) I can understand how some might be mad though, because as the associate was helping us with our order(which took quite some time) another customer came in and had to wait awhile to be acknowledged. My apple was the BOMB and exactly what I was craving. She chopped it up for me and added chamoy, chile salt, and lime. Perfect. The tamarind coating was just enough sweetness, and it held up well in the fridge overnight, because I couldn’t eat it all in one sitting. There’s lots of other stuff they offer, and of course they had the chocolate fountains flowing(although a couple looked very dried up and quite unsightly). I wish I would’ve gotten some chocolate covered gummy bears to go, because those are my fave! There’s always next time.

We stopped by chocolateka after a hot day at the caverns for a sweet treat. Chocolateka hit the spot! What a fun concept with premium chocolates. We had the chocoberry cup with milk and dark chocolate, a chocolate Oreo Apple drizzled with, yep, you guessed it, more milk chocolate! And a seasonal dark chocolate covered frozen mango. My girls and I were in chocolate heaven! Now if we could get a franchise in Denver…

While the fruit cup(sal, chile, limon and the gratuitous piece of a chamoy straw… literally they cut a piece of it) was good, it was in a TINY plastic cocktail cup and it was five bucks and change! Highway robbery! I understand we are basically paying for their Stone Oak rent, but damn! The kid they had in charge definitely needed to be trained on how to attend to customers. She took our order then answered endless questions and chit chatted with the people that came in after us. She took their order and started on it and then another 2 people came in and I was thinking we were never gonna get out of there. Unfortunately for them she looked up and saw me and must’ve thought«oh crap I still haven’t fulfilled my first order from like 15 minutes ago of the chick who’s staring at me wondering where her two miniature fruit cups are» so she rudely told them she had to work on other peoples orders and then she’d help them… yeah, they left. The bottom line is their offerings are tasty, but the ridiculous prices and inept help will keep us from coming back. I would rather travel a little further and get WAY more for our money and better service.

All I can say is CHOCOLATE! This place is good and smells of chocolate heaven. The all around feel and ambiance is great. I went on a Friday night and I actually felt cool hanging out there. It was almost like a place to chill.

Everything here is absolutely delicious! No doubt about that but, I deducted 2 stars because 1). I think its very odd that they don’t have prices listed anywhere(I’ve also overheard other patrons complain about the same thing) and 2). I don’t find their staff to be VERY friendly nor have they ever offered any samples any of the times that we’ve been in there. We had to ask for a sample and with two of us standing there, we were given ONE sample for us to share. lol I also think its very unprofessional for staff to be eating behind the counter, but I’ll be nice and not deduct another star for that one. :)

This place is insane! Chocolate fountains, Nutella fountains. Ice cream, cheese cake, apples all drizzled, covered, dipped in chocolate. Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate. Swear I was waiting for an Oompa-Loompa to walk out of the back room. «If you want to view paradise… simply look around and view it…»

So delicious! Loses one star because some of their prices are outrageous! $ 6 for a skewer of 2 strawberries and 2 slices of banana with chocolate? Had I known that was all I was going to get I’d have gotten a bowl or something. Any who, I’m still obsessed and I really want some more of that chocolate but my bank account(and my midsection) wouldn’t be happy with me if I went back today. Lol.

This place, you guys, this place. Three chocolate fountains, a list of ice cream flavors, lots of fresh(actually fresh) fruit, and a bunch of other sweets make this a dessert lover’s dream. Add to that the modern décor, comfy seating, and games and you’ve got yourself a perfect after-dinner spot. I love the subtle Mexican vibe they’ve got going on. You don’t new maracas on the wall to represent. The menu can be difficult to navigate, and the youths running the place can be more cool than helpful, but once you’ve found what you like & if you’re ok with being the only not-teen patron in the place, you’re going to love it. This pregnant lady will be back weekly to get my choco berry fix.

My husband and I tried this place for the first time and we had a great experience. The customer service was great especially when I had numerous questions about what he sold. I got to sample all 3 of the chocolate fountains and they’re pretty good. My husband ordered an apple dipped in caramel and chocolate and covered in oreos. They cut it up into bite sized pieces and then add your choice of chocolate from the fountains of you want extra chocolate. I tried their tarmindo raspa which was a lime flavored raspa with tarmindo and a tarmindo stick. It was really good. I think the prices are a bit steep but overall, I would go back. He had quite a variety of chocolate dipped concoctions to choose from along with fruits, ice cream, and many other tasty treats! I almost forgot… the atmosphere is great. Comfy couches, a big screen TV and a few games to play while you relax!

Easily the best dark chocolate fondue you’ll find anywhere in Texas. This is a must stop in Laredo(where they originated) so I’m ecstatic that they opened a location in San Antonio. I live in Austin but my husband made a day trip to SA and brought me back my two favorites– chocoberry cup(strawberries with dark chocolate — make it a double!) and the tamarindo apple sliced in a cup and topped with chamoy, lime and chile. Oh my! But really, this place is truly magical. Nothing else comes close.

I really enjoyed this place! There was great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a large menu. We ordered the rainbow fruit cup that came with your choice of 3 kinds of fruit, your choice of chocolate, and a German cookie. I chose strawberries, bananas, and pineapple with the milk chocolate. It was to die for!!! I will definitely be back and try the apples dipped in caramel, then chocolate, then nuts. DELISH!!! They also have fruit cups with chamoy, white or milk chocolate dipped oreos, fruit skewers you can get covered in chocolate, raspas, ice cream, they have all kinds of naughty things to get into.

Willy Wonka’s got nothing on the chocolate geniuses at Chocolateka. Take your favorite fruits and treats(especially gummy bears) and dip them in delicious, fresh-flowing chocolate. Then dip them again. Then serve them to your adoring fans. That’s what they do, every day, at Chocolateka. Originally from Laredo, Texas, the choco-artists at Chocolateka make everything better by dipping, drenching, or drizzling it in chocolate. From fruits(strawberries, mango, apples, pineapple, cherries, and more) to candy(gummy bears, marshmallows) there’s almost no end to their chocolate-covering abilities. They’re open late, perfect for that after-dinner dessert stop. Want to impress a date? Bring him or her here. Unless he or she is allergic to chocolate, you’ll both be very glad you did. Be sure to try my favorites: mangoskimo and chocobears!
