Copenhagen Contemporary Furniture

4.50 stars. So you’ve received your diploma from IKEA, and while you aren’t quite ready to spend five figures on your furniture, you are certainly ready to begin the upgrade process. Copenhagen, emphasizing products with a distinct modern European flair, is certainly within your wheelhouse.
I had recently moved from the East Coast, and as everything is bigger in Texas, I figured I needed furniture to match. Goodbye full sized bed tucked within a mid-​sized room in a Victorian townhome. Hello beautifully crafted, high quality Italian bed that fits nicely within my new San Antonio condo-​sized apartment.
Buying here is a cinch. I don’t know what people are talking about when they complain about the service here. While I was dressed business casual, it’s not like I’m the most dapper, richest-​looking dude on the planet either. The furniture store was relatively empty, but I kind of appreciated that they gave me a couple of minutes to peruse selections instead of swarming upon me. When I was approached, it was friendly, helpful, and not aggressive at all. If this constitutes bad service, sign me up for another helping!
The delivery process is really smooth and in the extreme off-​chance that there is a problem, they fix it quickly. Every single step of the process has been above board, and this is coming from someone who admittedly can get a bit finicky when the delivery process is compromised.
I have nothing but praise for Copenhagen. I’d say there is a strong chance that I’ll be a repeat buyer and would recommend anyone to stop by who may be interested in modernizing their furniture selection without breaking the bank.

This is the best furniture store around! They have the nicest furniture out of any place I’ve seen in the city and even surrounding cities. They have a wide variety of furnishings for any budget, from budget all the way up to $$$$. Very high quality stuff that will last, other furniture stores may be slightly cheaper, but will be much lesser quality. Great staff who won’t shadow you as you browse, excellent customer service who will bend backwards to make the customer happy with the purchase and coming back. Can’t say enough good things about them!

I’m new to the San Antonio area and lived in Europe for nine years. I’ve made several purchases from this store and each time I visit I’m treated like a stranger. Maybe I haven’t spent enough money here… go figure. Pretty good furniture albeit pricing on the high side.

I’ve been purchasing Copenhagen’s furniture for 10 years, and I’ve always been pleased by the exceptional service, the high quality furniture, and the prices. In order to evade purchasing something from China or some lower quality furniture, always ask where it was created and manufactured. Everything I’ve purchased from Copenhagen is either from Germany or Italy. One of my bed furniture sets were not in stock, it took a month to arrive, but when it did, it was sent directly to my home, assembled installed for me, and was shipped directly from Italy! I highly recommend this place for modern contemporary furniture.

It’s sort of like Ikea but with even lower quality… at least for all the new Chinese import furniture. The sofas I looked at were cheaply made, shoddily constructed, very lightweight, and covered in very low grad fabrics that didnt even cover the whole cushions, but instead have some cheap black fibrous (not woven) material covering the unexposed parts. But luckily, the service was enough to make me take a walk before I even considered settling on any of the merchandise. The new «Low End» furniture, in my opinion is a mistake for this store, as now that is what I will think of when they mention Copenhagen.

They have a good selection of Natuzzi editions. They also have art work and figurines galore.

Best furniture store since I discovered Ikea.
