Reading the 5 star reviews of this spa, I can’t help but wonder if we were at the same place. A friend and I spent Saturday getting multiple services at DASA. We were so unimpressed, that I hesitate to even give it one star. My first service was a pedicure; it was nothing but a foot wash and nail polish. There was absolutely no massage and no exfoliation or dead skin removal of any kind. She lightly pushed down my cuticles and trimmed a little skin off the sides. My friend had the exact same experience and she paid for the deluxe pedi. I can paint my on toenails for a lot less than $ 40. The chairs are frayed and look like they were pulled from a dumpster behind another nail salon. Next I had a facial, it was performed by the same person that did the pedi. It was slightly better, there was a nice face and scalp massage at the end, but I could have applied a face mask myself at home with the same results. Next I had a 90 minute Back and Forth massage. This was the best of the three, but on a scale of 1 — 10, it was maybe a 5 and it cost $ 195. There were no «special stretching techniques» in fact, there was absolutely nothing special at all about the massage. Again, my friend had an even worse review of her massage. She felt like the massage therapist was afraid to touch her. She asked for a man when she scheduled and thought she was getting Albert, but when she got there she had a female therapist. I guess I should have been tipped off when I went to schedule services a day before and ALL of the appointment times were available. My friend had scheduled a 30 minute sauna appointment and they left her in there for an hour. The receptionist apologized and assured her they wouldn’t charge her for the extra time. Really??? Like that was an option??? I wish I’d read these reviews before booking — at least I wouldn’t have been so surprised with my disappointment.

Quality of the service was worth the cost. I had the Heavenly pedicure for $ 75. Full hour in a calming spa atmosphere… not your run of the mill nail salon where you are part of a line-up.

My friend Alli and I went to DASA twice over a few day stretch last week while attending a conference in San Antonio. Alberto, Laura, and Laura were amazing. We were greeted with warm smiles and cool glasses of wine. Our pedicure experience was so delightful that we returned a few days later for manicures. The Laura’s did impeccable work all while entertaining us and providing some needed life counseling. Albert was an incredible host and made sure that we were comfortable throughout our stay. Thanks DASA spa! I will be sure to return and advise friends to stop in as well. All the best, Stacy

This place is less than par. However, in can only speak to my experience. Came here for an «express pedicure» which is a 30 min pedicure for $ 45. I showed up on time however they did not see me until 10 minutes after I showed up. The woman was very nice but I had to ask for a glass of wine because I know this lady next to me had wine. The location is very nice and they seemed to have good products. But my pedicure was pretty awful. All the woman did was soak my feet then cut my toenails a little and then paint them. I’m not sure if it was because I only had a 30 minute walk and they were running late or if this is how all their pedicures are. There was no leg massage comma no scrubbin of my feet and zero conversation. I have been to many spas and salons that do 30 minute pedicures that include at least scrubbing of my calluses and/or leg and feet massages. I will never ever ever come back here to waste $ 45 on something I could have done $ 30 with a much better product

Not very happy! Searched for a good nail/spa place while I’m in town for a short time. I found Dasa and was excited that they stayed open til 7pm, so it said on their site. Badly in need of a pedicure and me time. The location was a little tricky for me to find. After walking all around trying to find it, worried I wasn’t going to make it in time I found it! Went to open the doors and locked! It was 6:15pm on a Tues. What the heck. After a long day and in need of relaxation, I was let down. Not too happy.

Hands Down one of the best massages EVER. I have had men and women massage therapists at many spas, several massages, but Elizabeth is a class above. Gifted therapist. At some points, I wasn’t sure she didn’t have 4 hands! Please, do yourself a favor and make your reservation immediately!

This place is pretty awesome and I literally spent almost 3 hours here getting pampered by their wonderful staff. The massage was amazing and I love it!!! Very relaxing place and a great place to chill and have some me time. The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars because they weren’t very organized with the appointment booking. It seems as if the front desk and the techs didn’t really have a good communication with each other and that definitely took up a bit of my time. Overall I do love the place and it’s very clean.

Awesome spa, everyone was delightful and very accommodating. Jason was my therapist… One of the best I’ve ever had. I went two days in a row! Was in San Antonio on business and will work this in every time I’m there!

I was staying at their sister property Grand Hyatt, which doesn’t have their own spa so when I asked about massages they gave me the number to DASA and they sent a therapist to my room for my massage for only $ 15 extra. Chris was my therapist and he was amazing! Very professional, worked w the space he had, his pressure was consistent and exactly where I wanted it. I would recommend him to anyone! Very happy w my experience!

While the young lady who painted my nails did a nice job, it wasn’t worth $ 80 price tag(that was with the 20 percent discount if I gave them a vote for best spa). Just nail polish and a one minute lotion hand massage. I was told the high price was due to the location. Really? Talk about taking advantage of tourists. I recommend getting your nails done before coming here. Save your money and get more services.

I had a 50 minute signature massage while staying at the hyatt hotel that the spa is under. It was a great experience and very relaxing. Veronica was my masseuse and she was amazing. She listened to what I told her and gave me exactly the experience I was hoping for. I’ve had quite a few professional massages in many different locations– including some very high end resorts– and this massage ranks near the top of the list. I would definitely recommend this spa for massage. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny and hotel guests get 15% off. Thanks for a great massage!

Not a good experience at all. They sell Shellac polish but do not have the ability or equip their staff to remove it & then over-charged for the very lack luster experience.

While in San Antonio for a conference, I desperately needed a shellac manicure. I searched on Unilocal(thanks friends!) and thankfully found Dasa since near my hotel. I paid about $ 75 for a shellac French manicure(including tip) and it was money well spent. Not only was it the best looking mani I’ve ever had, but the technician(Angel) was great conversation and a lot of fun to spend an hour with. The ambiance was comfortable and relaxing, and the girls at the front desk were very attentive. They also had lots of different herbal teas, coffees, and infused waters. Next time I am in San Antonio for business, I will definitely be making a repeat visit to Dasa.

I paid $ 125 for the 50-minute Wine Maker’s massage and it was money well spent! Chris is amazing and it was probably the best massage I’ve ever had! I came to the Riverwalk for a friend’s bachelorette party and wedding and my visit to DASA was the highlight of the weekend. DASA was able to accommodate my friend and I at the exact time we wanted and we did not have to wait long at all to receive our massages. Chris was very friendly and professional. Thanks DASA!

This was seriously THEBEST pedicure I’ve ever had and it damn sure should have been for $ 90(including tip). I am 8 months pregnant and walking around on the riverwalk all day took a toll on my poor feet. Fortunately, Dasa had a spot open for me to come in immediately. For an hour they took their time, let me relax in the warm massage chair while my feet were tended to. It was marvelous and I wish it would have never ended!

This spa was so welcoming and relaxing! This was my first spa experience and it exceeded all of my expectations. The staff were all extremely friendly and hospitable. The person that did my massage and full body facial made me feel very comfortable and was very accomodating. Afterwards we enjoyed a nice glass of wine and even chatted with the owner who also made us dinner reservations and recommended some fun spots to visit! We were in a group and were all able to relax together afterwards even though we all had different services which made the experience that much more memorable and fun! We have all decided to make this a yearly girls trip! Can’t wait to see every one at Dasa Spa again soon!!!

Dasa spa was such a lovely experience. Ask for Aveena for an intoxifying body scrub & scalp massage. All of the employees were prettiest and accommodating. We were a group of 5 girls, they scheduled us all within a 2 hour time frame, and we even got delicious wine after our services :-)

I got a mani-pedi here. The technician was really nice, the seats were comfortable. It was clean and my nails look pretty great. My only problems are: 1) The lady who checked me in was loud and complaining about other customers while I was in the room, WAYUNPROFESSIONAL! 2) Really expensive and not really worth the money. I have had better nail service elsewhere for half the price. 3) The technician painted my cuticles — what?! Who does that?! However, it is cheaper than most other spas around.
