It’s been a long time since I’ve tried Delicious tamales. I know I went to the one on Culebra years ago.
I was pleasantly surprised on Sunday Morning that the S. Presa store sold Barbacoa also.
I wanted to try the sweet tamales, but this location doesn’t sell them
It’s very common for any tamale place to sell barbacoa, but it was a surprise to me because I had no plans on buying barbacoa. But ended up taking a pound home with salsa and corn tortillas
I of course bought Pork tamales. I bought them for my mom. Who is a tamale connoisseur due to the fact she grew up in San antonio and has made hundreds of tamales by hand during the holidays.
She flat out Did not like them. She said the tamales tasted of too much garlic and the meat was not red enough.
The barbacoa on the other hand was a Home Run. Very Delicious indeed.

Another great Southside Establishment that now has a location on the northside and on the web. On the southside, the S. Presa location is open until they run out of tamales and then you are out of luck until they make some more. Fresh and Delicious!
