Hands down one of the best mexican resturants in San Antonio! This place is authentic and a must, if you are in the area during the times of operation! Love it! We travel 1hr just to eat here!

Delicious Mexican style breakfast! Every time I come to SA for work I make sure to stop here for the Hurvos Rancheros with Barbacoa or Carne. The waitresses are all very nice and the food is awesome. They have THEBEST tortillas I have ever had!

It’s always crazy busy. The food and plates are hot. The lunch special never fails. All the tacos are tasty. Parking is hard at times. Call your order in on Saturday and Sunday.

The food is SO good here you’ll think you’re in Mexico, but don’t worry, you can drink the water! Ordered the chile relleno plate. Everything from the warm crispy tortilla chips to the red sauce on the relleno were perfect. Just like my family’s cooking, oops, hate to say it, but it was even better! OMG, so delicious. I also ordered menudo. I LOVE menudo. I have to admit this was the best menudo I’ve ever had in my life. Another thing worth mentioning is the staff and operations of the restaurant. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive. And the kitchen is open behind the cashier so diners can see and hear the other staff working(not in a bad way). My thought was: this is a well-run establishment. This can make or break a dining experience, especially if dining alone as I was. It felt like I was at the table of Fidelos’ happy family. This is somewhat uncommon, and it was very nice. So! If you’re hungry for EXCELLENT Mexican food, come here. You will not be disappointed.

This place is amazing. First time to go today after driving by it everyday for three months. Have to say, best breakfast tacos I’ve ever had. Now I will be more tempted to stop there after my runs!!! Recommend any breakfast tacos or the chile relleno!!!

Excellent! I had the huevos rancheros with carne guisada, beans and potatoes, and everything was delicious! Service was also very good. People are right that it doesn’t look like much from the outside, and the parking lot’s crowded, but trust me… go inside and order some food. You won’t be disappointed.

Great food, fresh, tasty and delicious. The steak Mexicano is deliciously tasty, the enchiladas verses are yummy and the Aguas frescas quench your thirst.

Obscure restaurant in an industrial area. No bells and whistles. They simply offer good food and fast service. Love their refried beans! Also tried their Barbacoa taco which I must say is the best I’ve had. My husband enjoyed his chilaquile Mexicana while I had a pastor taco which was a bit on the dry side but tasted good nonetheless. We’ve been to this place several times for breakfast but decided it was time to give them credit for their delicious food and great service. We now need to go home and take a nap. So full!

Nice place! Good service! Food was awesome! Very packed due to food being so good! Please stop and try this place. Puffy tacos are amazing. Barbacoa and carne guisada very good as well. Me and my wife will be back again. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! Thanks it was our first visit!

Unfortunately I’ve had a bad experience the past couple times. The waitress forgot about us and the food took too long. The food itself was adequate at best. Really a shame since it’s so close to me.

First time here. Came to try it out due to the good ratings on Unilocal. Not disappointed at all, they have daily lunch specials at super reasonable prices. Had cheese enchilada plate with tea for $ 6.50. Great flavor, tasted better than it looked. Took 1 star off for presentation and also because we didn’t get chips n salsa when we arrived, had to ask for it. I’ll be back for more though.

Good food, good service, reasonably priced lunch specials includes large ice tea, good sized portions, rough looking parking lot but always consistently good experience. Wednesday Carnitas special, way good!

After leaving Chaco’s disappointed, hungry and dirty, we made our way over to Fidelo’s. Amazing hot sauce, homemade tortillas and even better food. Highly suggest this restaurant.

I used to like Fidelo’s but last several visits have been disappointing. I ordered enchiladas with no beans(pork lard mixed in), and what do I get?! Bean all over my plate. Also the ceramic plate was chipped on the edge(slightly smaller than a quarter) which is a big no no. Every visit is progressively getting worse. One more try and they’re blacklisted.

This place is consistently good. They don’t skimp on the portions and are relatively cheap for the amount and quality of food they’re putting out. I have yet to have anything that’s bad there. Everything is so good, everytime I go, I can not seem to make up my mind. Whether it’s the Chilaquiles Verdes, the Huevos Rancheros, the Machacado Plate, Pork Chop Plate or a simple Papa Rachera con tocino taco(for those of you that no habla, that’s ranch style potatoes — potatoes fried with jalapeños, tomatoes and onions — all neatly and gently wrapped in an amazing, homemade flour tortilla along with some strips of bacon). The stars of show though, are their tortillas. I am certain they have a Buelita somewhere in the back hand crafting these delectable, fluffy flour AND corn masterpieces. They are so good, I would eat rock tacos with them. Food is definitely good but the thing that keeps me going back are the tortillas — and I gave up tortillas a long time ago.

So far so good. This place feels authentic not that I ever been to Mexico. The prices are right and they have taco Al Pastor. This place is crowed on Sunday’s. The food was delicious. This is your side street restaurant so don’t come expecting a 5 star set up but it’s fantastic for what it is. I would come back to eat here. Food: 10⁄10 * The food was tasty and the quantity was filling Service: 9⁄10 * Service was fine for how busy it was Ambiance: 8⁄10 * The tables are close together it’s kind of crammed Cleanliness: 9⁄10 * They keep the place clean Price: 10⁄10 * For the amount of food we got the price is reasonable Parking: 7⁄10 * This parking lot needs to be updated. The layout makes it hard to park or leave when you are ready to leave

First time here. Parking is very limited so come early or a little after the lunch crowd. I wasn’t impressed. I read their many reviews and was expecting fantastic food but was sorely disappointed. The salsa lacked flavor, the menudo was very watered down(honestly my least favorite menudo in San Antonio), and their chorizo and potato taco was nothing to write home about. I’ll give them this though their flour and corn tortillas were delicious. I’ll also say that their service was good. Food came out quickly and our waitress did check on us often. We were never without. Wish I could give more stars but service is only half the score. With so many fantastic Mexican restaurants in the area they really need to step up their game.
