Great attitude and service among the staff and like the atmosphere and wine. My husband and I each had a large Greek salad and ordered the basil tomato pizza, both very yummy

I guess my kids are older now, so not being able to see them in the game room isn’t that big of a deal anymore :) I have been here 4 times now and it’s a great alternative to a crowded Mouse infested pizza play land.(get it?) So, I used a Groupon and I thought that made it a very affordable evening out for the family. They also have some deals for pizza, drinks and game cards. Of course, my kids always want more money on the cards. Some of the games weren’t functioning and for a good portion of the visit there was a vacuum and cord laying out right in the middle of the game room, um… easy thing to trip on!

Nice place on the Far North side/Stone Oak Area to take the family that isn’t Chuck E Cheese. We decided to try out Game Town Pizza due to their awesome Groupon Special(2– 16″ one toppings pizzas, 4 drinks, $ 20 in game cards for $ 25). With out the Groupon expect to pay $ 17-$ 20 for a large 16″ pie. To our surpise, their pizza was some of the New York Style Pizza in San Antonio. The pies came out quick and the service was great. The place was very clean unlike most pizza arcade palors in San Antonio. They also had a nice selection of craft beers(Real Ale Fireman 4, Deschutes Mirror Pond, Shock Top) on tap for $ 13 a pitcher and local wines. The game room was small with maybe about 10 – 15 arcade games, which we found a few being buggy. The kids were often waiting to in line to play the game they wanted. Games ran about $ 0.50 to $ 1 to play. We would definitely come back.

The family and I are eating out on Thursday Night Wine Night here at GTP. The pizza I good, but the offered wine selection not so much. Paying for the wine upgrade is well worth the extra cost. Salad are good also. We had a great time. My kids and husband enjoyed the unusual games in the game room.

Pizza was pretty good. In fact… REALLY good. Took my son up there to celebrate and was thoroughly disappointed in the facilities though. I can get good pizza anywhere, but we were expecting a lot of games and to have a good time. About 20% weren’t working, of those remaining, well… they just weren’t that entertaining. Sub par games and very few at that. The game room was the size of my living room. My son found one game he liked and we really just played that over and over, because there were so few options. Should have been named Shanty Town Pizza. Or KindaGameTown Pizza. Or Pizza Town with some crappy games. But GAME Town insinuates you have more than a few games.

We frequent GTP for numerous reasons, and how close we live to the place really isn’t even one of them! The super fresh pizza is awesome, the game room entertains the kiddos and the drink selection is great. Love that they have Shock Top on tap. I recommend GTP to everyone who loves great food in a friendly atmosphere, doubly for people with kids!

We took our kids to Game town today and I was pretty impressed. The pizza was delicious, maybe a little expensive but still worth it. We also had the Greek salad and it was very good. I actually like that you can’t really see the game room from most of the dinning area because my kids were much less distracted while they were eating. The game room was smaller than I expected but still had a good variety of games for different ages plus it made it easier to keep track of the kids. The games themselves are pretty cheap. I noticed that a lot of the tables had food and trash left on them but I am thinking now that it is because they don’t want to take people’s food away while they are in the game room. We will definitely go again.

I arrived at GameTown with the expectation of there being pizza. I left slightly tipsy with a happy and full belly. First off, we went on a Thursday night. Though I’m not aware of any of the other specials that GameTown runs, I feel like maybe Thursday night is the night for me — we got a pizza, a bottle of wine(or a pitcher of beer), and a $ 5 game card for $ 19.99. What? YEAH. Seriously. The pizza was pretty freakin’ good, too, not what I’d expect to receive with that kind of bargain basement pricing. Pizzas I ate(yes, I ate some of all of these, don’t judge me): — Texas Pepperoni(giant pepperonis, mozzarella, basil, YUM) — Meat Lovers(huge chunks of sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and other meats that I loved) — Margherita(this one was the standout — fresh, so fresh, tomatoes and tons of fresh basil covering the pizza! Delicious!) We also finished our bottle of wine pretty easily — GameTown has a great selection that I’m excited to go through one by one. While the atmosphere is definitely child-party-friendly, I definitely enjoyed it as an adult without kids. Bonus: if you don’t have kids, you can keep the game cards to play the games yourself!

Who loves ya, GameTown? I do. A group of Unilocalers wandered into GameTown last night in search of pizza and wine happy hour. Some had kids in tow, some just brought their appetite, all had a great time. First, the space. GameTown is divided into two rooms. One for eatin’ and one for playin’. They host lots of great kid events like birthday parties and school outings. You can dance-off, play video games and win prizes in the game side. And let me assure you, though they claim these are here for kids, I think the big kids in our group had more fun here even than the youngins. What sets GT apart from other kid’s games and pizza places(I’m looking at you, Chuck E.) is that the food here is delicious. The pizzas are fresh, hand-tossed, and oven-baked. They get many of their ingredients locally from local farmers and markets, and the dough is made each day, never frozen, and doesn’t have salts or sugars like other places who use the make ahead and freeze method. So, added bonus, you and your kids can eat healthy in this place! Now, at night, GT sort of turns into more of a bar atmosphere, where adults can enjoy Texas wines, one of their 8 beers on-tap, and sit back and hang out. Or, go play in the game room once it’s past the kids bedtimes and they all go home. I may or may not have chosen the latter.

Eh, I’d say it was OK at best. The service was friendly and it looks like it might be a good mini-Dave-n-Busters after hours, but not the greatest deal. I paid $ 3.75 for a total of 10 french fries. They compensate for the small serving by making the fries happy-face shaped. Not exactly a deal. The pizza was pretty good and the stromboli I had was OK. I may try it again someday, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
