My daughter just started Middle School band, so we are new to this whole music«scene». Lo and behold, a key fell off her clarinet a few weeks into the school year.(Of course this happened while I was making dinner.) After a mad dash with three kids to HS Music, we ran inside and threw ourselves on their mercy. A lovely young man, whose name I didn’t catch, said that he would take it to the back and have«Adam» take a look at it. Well…whoever Adam is, he can work miracles. In less than 5 minutes we had the clarinet back in our hot little hands — good as new. I stood at the register ready to pay – with no clue how much this was going to set us back.(You know how it goes: it always seems to be the little things in life that end up costing oodles). I asked what we owed, and that same lovely young man said, «A smile from you all». Seriously… A smile??? For saving my evening, my daughter’s evening… everyone’s evening?(A side note: The young man is seriously underselling Adam’s repair talents). But, no matter. I had all 3 kids smiling as big as humanly possible for him. So…Lovely young man… whoever you are: a Huge thank you. You were kind and patient to a harassed and tired mother and her 3 hungry kids. You restored my faith in the youth of America. And Adam: you have some mad repair skills. Kudos to you and your nimble fingers.

I have taken my instrument to this shop to be fixed and received a perfectly working bassoon afterwards. They have an above average selection compared to all other local music stores. Their staff is knowledgable, helpful, and personable. This is my primary spot for anything music-related!
