I love their subs… They cut the meat in front of you so you know it’s fresh. They have quite a selection of subs. Customer service at this location is always great and they give us samples of the meat when we’re indecisive about trying something new. Prices are fine and they have a point program that rewards you free food. I would definitely try it out if you’re not in the mood for the same subway/Quiznos sandwiches and want to try something different. My favorite is their Italian sub which has about 4 – 5 different types of meats especially with their peppered dressing. So yummy!

My new favorite place for sandwiches. Best chain and concept for sandwiches. Has aspects of a traditional deli because they cut the meat and cheese while you wait, their bread is good. Love the«Mike’s Style» which is shredded lettuce, tomato, onion and redwine vinagrette, olive oil, and oregano and spices. I add spicy mustard. Definitely grew on me and went back two consecutive days. Love that they have a self serve soda fountain with Pepsi products and the syrup is clean and balanced so the soda tastes good. Employees are very attentive and eager to please. Glad I tried this place based on Unilocal reviews because I did not have as good an impression when I tried the Jersey Mike’s near 151 when they first opened.

This is the first legit«East Coast» food I’ve had since moving to San Antonio(I ordered the Jersey Classic). The hoagie roll is perfect — don’t ever change it please. Meats are sliced in front of you and assembled on the counter, too. «Mike’s Way» tops each hoagie with lettuce, tomato, salt & pepper, onions and a tastebud-popping red wine and vinegar combo with herbs. Menu is extensive and looks awesome, but minus one star for no Cheese Whiz for the cheesesteaks. Every former Philly resident knows you order cheesesteaks one of two ways: Whiz with or Whiz without. That said, I can’t wait to try their other hoagies. I HOUSED this in the car on the way back to the office. A+++

I ordered the chipotle cheese steak and it was good. The bread tasted fresh and it was soft. Just FYI, they are not able to toast the bread because they put raw meat on the burner and there is no toaster. Customer service was ok. There was only one clean table and no other customers there when I arrived. Dining room was kind of a mess and someone finally xame out to wipe tables after I had already sat down at the only clean table. Will probably go try a philly cheesesteak somewhere else next time.

The customer service was good, and whenever I forgot to say peppers on my sandwich he happily took my meatball sandwich back to add the peppers. My husband didn’t know what he wanted but he chipotle chicken sand which was AMAZING. I love that they cut their own meat right there in front of you.

The food here is good, different from a jersey sub but good, I should know I was raised in new jersey… customer service is not the greatest either…

The philly was okay. Maybe the cold sandwiches are better but definitely will look for a philly somewhere else. Customer service was good.

My first time visiting this yummy sandwich shop was in OKC when I found out that one is nearby to me here in San Antonio am soooooo happy! It’s awesome that the customer service is consistent. The employees are just as friendly and quick with helping there as they are here. Walking in there were a couple people ahead of me. Who were quickly helped, then I was up. Undecided,(cuz it is all good) the young man didn’t rush me. This sandwich shop is clean and has lots of lighting. I’m a big fan already and will be coming back

The manager on duty tonight was the worst I’ve ever seen. He whispered under his breath to a giggly employee that he was getting«this fat Ass his sandwich». He repeatedly turned away customers one hour before closing because he «didn’t want to deal with their shit». He’s clearly got anger issues. The food was really good, but the manager who made it purposely made it sloppily. When he turned walk ins away, he made sure to call his boss and tell him that they would receive complaints but it wasn’t his fault. My boyfriend and I stayed mostly to see how many lies he could tell in 20 mins, and how rude he could be to customers. We’ll never go here again, and we’ll make sure everyone we know hears about it.

I am typically a fan of jersey mikes, but this location really disappointed me. I went during the lunch rush(had to wait in a long line, no biggie). I ordered my sandwich and they proceeded to cut the bread and slice the ham and turkey for my club. They moved my sandwich over to the guy to put veggies on my sandwich and he proceeds to tell me that there is no bacon. I’m sorry, but the whole reason one orders a «club» sandwich is for the BACON! Why wasn’t I told when I ordered so that I could order something else! It was a very disappointing visit!

Visiting San Antonio and having been to other Jersey Mike’s, this location is NOT it! No pepper flakes? Are you kidding me? I grew up in Philly and Jersey and let me tell ya this place needs a gut check! The bread like another Unilocaler stated was old and stale. Half the battle of a great sandwich is da Bread! Because this location is slow the freshness goes out the window. He gives me 4 onions on the dang sandwich, what is this Subway or something?! Sorry to sound so negative but I drove out of my way to get there and was I disappointed! Try another location if you can,

1 star for this shitty sub shop. Went in 2 different times and was extremely disappointed on both occasions!!! Went in 3hrs before close time and the bread was rock hard both times. Dude behind the counter had a terrible attitude. He acted like asking him to «spread» the mayo and mustard on the bread was just too much work or something. Idiot. I would not recommend this place to anybody. I hate subway with a passion but would rather eat one of subways subs rather then this wack ass places food! Total waste of money… Both times!

Awesome place for a sub with fresh-cut meats and cheeses, and bread that doesn’t taste like it was made in a dishwasher. That last part is actually a reference to Subway, and it doesn’t nearly do justice to the bread used here– I didn’t find it noteworthy the first time I inhaled a sandwich here, but the second time, when I finally slowed down to appreciate it, the bread struck me as surprisingly delicious, with that perfect crisp exterior and soft, pillowy interior that allows the sandwich fillings to stand on their own. Now, I don’t mean to slam Subway for this entire review, but considering prices are just a hair more expensive(like $ 7 for a regular, which seems about as long as a footlong except like a pound heavier and several inches thicker– and not all vegetable toppings) for an exponentially better sandwich. All of this coming from someone who doesn’t even really like sandwiches all that much. The pastrami sandwich is surprisingly delicious with a savory sauerkraut inside– one that works really well both as a sandwich and could stand alone, too. A rarity in SA, IMO. The Italian is fabulous, and each bite tastes slightly different, with varying amounts and proportions of the meats in each bite, and the oil and herbs playing off of the veggies and meat so well. It’s a simple sandwich done really well.

Pros: I honestly cannot think of any Cons: bland, bland, bland chicken parmesan sub I decided to try this sub shop because I have grown a little tired of eating at Subway so much. I walked in close to 9pm, so I might not have gotten the freshest food possible. But still… I asked the employee if he recommended the meatball or the chicken parmesan sub. He thought about it for a second and then said to go with the chicken, so I did. It took a little over five minutes to prep my sandwich, though it was only breaded chicken breast on sub with marinara and provolone cheese. Though the sandwich was hot and the bread soft, it was very bland. No seasoning and very little salt in the marinara sauce. The breaded chicken breast was just as disappointing… almost no flavor, but fortunately not dry. I am hesitant to return here again to try another sandwich. My chicken parm was a waste of money in my opinion, but I guess that should be expected at fast food joints. Subway is much better than the sandwich I had. Moreover, at least I have an array of veggies to add on to my sandwich at Subway.

Good subs– napkins required! Tried the Jersey shore regular on wheat and got the meatball sub for the hubby. Their menu is divided into cold subs and hot subs to make it easier for you to make a selection according to your mood. Some subs are also available as a mini, wrap, salad, or their sub in a tub(reg sub without the bread) so there is something for everyone. My sub was fresh and tasty with just the right amount of oil, vinegar, and spices although watching him douse it when making it had me a lil scared that the bread would be soggy– not the case at all! The hubby said his sub was delicious! Our order included the 2 regular subs, chips, and drink(reg combo size) and totaled $ 17.32 with tax. The prices vary depending on the size of the sub so it could be budget friendlier if needed. The staff was friendly and the subs are made quick but with care! Not sure how lunch hour is since I went at 8 pm but they do have the option to place your order online. I will definitely be back since they have great options!
