Closed for renovations! Next to Hyatt Regency & they say not sure when reopening. Look at website for local grammy nominated jazz musician, Joe Pasado, playing at many venues; often at Landry’s.

Good drinks and good music right on the river. We didn’t eat here, but we had fun listening to the live jazz and sipping on creative cocktails. If you’re a fan if tropical flavors but not sugary sweet nasty drinks, try the Chord Cocktail! Yum!

A wonderfully romantic spot along the River Walk with live Jazz music. I’ve stopped here twice over the last two weeks to enjoy the live music and margaritas. While their margaritas is in a regular sized glass, it is by no means ordinary or regular. In fact both times I stopped here, the margaritas were absolutely fantastic; that perfect amount of sweet with the sour and they used top shelf liquors which lack the bitter aftertaste of the cheaper varieties which a lot of tourist traps use. My wife had a sangria, which was large and tasty, not the absolute best, but it was ranking on up there close to that. A great accompaniment to the drinks was the live Jazz music. The duo that was playing were great with an awesome sound.

I was in San Antonio for work and looking for somewhere downtown that would be outdoors and not too touristy. As a whole I am not a fan of the touristy part of the Riverwalk. Once you get out of the tourist area it is a really pleasant place to run/walk. But in the middle it’s an overflowing mess. Then the Landing. It was a total gem. Lovely live jazz, a nice crowd, and a great glass of wine. The karaōke blaring from a nearby bar muddle the experience a bit; however, overall, I would gladly return to this historic spot.

Reserved a great spot upstairs to enjoy this superb music. Enjoyed it a lot but they had the a/c turned up and the cold air blew directly on us, so we were really uncomfortable. Drinks are overpriced. Cover charge is reasonable but if cover is charged, drinks should be less I think. Menu is very limited. Eat before you go. Good service, though… all in all, a good place to sit and listen to quality jazz and people watch.

I went here for drinks only and ordered a marguerita which was average but half price during their happy hour. The staff is friendly and the best part was being able to hang out as long as we wanted while listening to music and watching the people go by. Our waiter even gave me a free iced tea!

This is a special place on the riverwalk, especially for jazz lovers. The outdoor bar is an excellent place to enjoy a little jazz and people watch all the folks strolling the river. My only complaints about the outside bar is that service has been very spotty and the quality of the jazz has varied from excellent to only okay. Still, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy music, a drink and the ambiance of the riverwalk. The indoor bar is also excellent. The Jim Cullum Jazz Band has been performing riverboat jazz here for decades, and it is totally worth the $ 10 cover charge they add to your bill. The music is excellent and the bar is small and intimate, so every seat is a good seat. This is a very welcome spot on the riverwalk!

Wandering around the River Walk on a Saturday afternoon, we hear this amazing jazz music. Very upbeat, makes-you-tap-your-feet, kind of tunes. We stop in, grab a drink and pull up a chair on the patio under an umbrella. As the music plays on, we people-watch and listen to the sounds of the river in the spring. Baby ducks swim by. Couples stand to dance at different points as the music moves them. A breezey wind rolls in and out, keeping things cool and comfortable. A better afternoon can not be found on the RW than the one we had at The Landing. Honestly, I was skeptical to stop in bc I’ve heard mixed reports since new owners took over. Couldn’t have been more wrong. This place was amazing. A simple recipe for a fantastic afternoon.

Great spot for friends, family, business, but probably not the greatest for kids. Okay…I love Jazz. The landing is a historical figure of San Antonio. If you are looking for Jazz on the Riverwalk, The Landing is the place to be. Always great music. Great view of the river and tourist. Good place to find a little bit of clarity within the chaos. But…The menu would benefit from being extended and then the drinks are pricy. If you do not wish to sit outside and absorb the smell of river water you will have to pay a cover to get inside. And there are times where you do need a drink in order to sit, mind you this is not every single time but good to know. Despite all that, The Landing gets four-Stars for its great sense of Music.

The four stars is for the jazz quartet playing outside near the river. These guys just rocked… I never saw them leave once or take a break(except for the girl all by herself try to request songs while humming them to you I would give this place one star for speed and making drinks. My vodka tonic came with just tonic. I did not say anything but mybuddy did and he sent back his drink. The waiter apologized and got him a new drink. The waiter also told us that the bartender was new(his first night) and that things were slow.

River walk is clown town. So, 3 is a relative 4. Slow service. Good music(when they play). Small menu. Good margs.

This place used to be great and was for years. I went recently and it had lost all of the quality it used to have. I checked around and found it had been sold and Jim Cullum is not involved at all now. The new owners apparently want to dish up music pablum to «captured» Riverwalk tourists. Lousy.

Lizzy is the manager and is the worst! She was rude and was texting the entire time! Go somewhere real! I would avoid this place!

I love this place on Sundays, the music is great and the vibe is very homey. The service can be slow, but it is very bearable. I recommend not ordering the margaritas since the are pretty weak. Good times all around. Even as a local San Anto ese, I can feel a since of nostalgia being here.

I love the atmosphere, love the music, but despite that, the two times I’ve been the food was so-so and the service about the same. The great thing about the river walk is you can sit outside and eat at most places, Cullums does not dissapoint in that regard. A little work on their menu and they’ll be just about perfect.

When your boring-ass job ships you off to some lame-ass convention in this cheesy-ass stretch of San Antonio, do not despair. Just grab yourself a large-assed conventioneer, buy her a big-ass martini, and listen to Jim Cullum blow the motherfucking roof off the whole bloody affair.

One of my favorite date spots! Great atmosphere and wonderful entertainment. Try the Killamanjarro coffee, it has the most caffine out of any bean in the world. Food is good but a bit pricey, better bet to eat elsewhere and then come in. Make sure you reserve a spot on the weekends since it fills up quick.

If you’ve ever heard«Riverwalk Jazz» on National Public Radio, it’s broadcast live from this little bar attached to the San Antonio Hyatt hotel. This is one of the brightest culture spots in San Antonio, and certainly on the River Walk. Austin’s got a lot more live music, but Jim and his musicians are the REALDEAL. I’m not a fan of Dixieland or even jazz, really — but their musicianship is so incredible that none of that matters. Jim’s cornet is just the start, glorious as it is, the band is all-pro, the riffs wash over you, each better than the last. The radio show is good, but doesn’t hold a candle to the live experience. I love that they keep jazz history alive, too, and make it interesting with backstory. Jim has a thing for Bix Beiderbecke; try a drinking game on mentions of Bix(if you can afford it, and aren’t driving home). WELL worth the cover and the stiff drink prices; it’s a treat to hear music of this quality in a small bar venue.
