Joyeria Montes Deoca

Loved this little hidden gem. We just happened to be driving by, on our way to the Alamo and spotted the exact sign I have been looking everywhere for! It was marked a tiny bit high but after asking about a military discount, they gave us a great deal on it. Will definitely be returning there with my family this summer.

This is a small Mexican souvenir shop that looks like it is in a basement. The shop has almost everything you will find at Market Square. Great prices close to the Alamo!
This place appears to be a mom and pop shop. An old man is normally seen on the street level, while his wife tends the register underground. Located just outside Fuddruckers, if you are not careful, you will miss the entrance. There is a doorway that leads downstairs. On your way down, you will see items covering the walls. It’s amazing that they could fit all of the things they sell in such a small space. Great prices… incredibly no markups, especially for being located in the touristy Riverwalk part of town.
We saw the man today sitting with a chihuahua while the wife helped my daughter find the right sized poncho. My wife found a bag that she liked.
We have been to this shop in the past and will return in the future. Worth a stop.
