First of all, it was actually kind of difficult for us to find the place because we didn’t see a sign saying«Marrakech» outside. The place is located on the intersection of Fredericksburg and Medical, in the Wing Stop complex, and is inside the restaurant called Casablanca Moroccan Cuisine. That being said, this is a great little cozy and quiet place to smoke hookah. The owner is Moroccan, and although pretty quiet and reserved at first, he was super nice and friendly after we started talking to him. The service was great, in fact the bottled waters we ordered were even on the house! Every other hookah place I’ve been to in San Antonio overcharges for water, which is ridiculous because they could easily just charge a dollar and still keep a profit. They have a little nook by the door with some couches, and I can’t guarantee how clean they actually are, but it was fine and comfortable for us. I read some of the previous reviews about cleanliness and roaches in the establishment. Honestly, to me it was fairly clean and I didn’t see a single roach, so they may have stepped up their game. OKAY now to the most important thing: the hookah itself. I don’t think they actually have a menu to look at it. We asked for one but the owner just listed off flavors to us and we picked from that. If you aren’t a decisive person like me, you can also just ask him to surprise you and he will make you something on his own. We ordered the double Apple with mint which did not disappoint. It wasn’t too harsh, I could actually taste the apple and mint flavor instead of just coals, and the smoke was pretty thick as well. The owner was attentive to when the coals need to be changed and the hookah last for a long while. The BEST part about all of this is the PRICE. We were pleasantly surprised when we asked for the check, and not only were the waters free of charge(as mentioned above), but the hookah was only TENDOLLARS!!! I’ve been to plenty of hookah bars in San Antonio, and one hookah usually always costs between the 15 – 25 range depending on the place and how many flavors/extras you get. I don’t know any other establishment with good hookah this cheap. I will definitely be coming back here, especially since the locations is perfect and so close to me!

Just moved to the area and was looking for good hookah and a quiet place to study. This place definitely exceeded my expectations. Great hookah and outstanding service. I did not try the food but it looked delicious. Will definitely be back!

The food is excellent! Great selection of teas and the staff is very attentive, making suggestions. The food is also very fresh and flavorful and a great value. The dining area is small, near the hookah space, but neither was an issue. I highly recommend.

What a hidden gem. One of the most flavorful chicken dish I’ve had in a long time. My MIL and I knew our meal was being prepared fresh because we could hear the owner slicing & dicing while we waited for our food. However, don’t miss the Moroccan Mint Tea. Delish!

The food is excellent here. I had the special(lamb) and it just fell off the bone it was so tender. Khalid provides excellent service and it was a very pleasant experience. I’m definitely coming back here again.

Great, quiet place for a smoke. Used to go here just to read and chill. The staff is small but attentive and there’s a good selection of food and drinks. Music inside and outside is rather quiet and there’s usually plenty of parking.
