We went there a late night to grab some beers with friends because other places were close at mid-night on Saturdays. It was loud with live music which I wasn’t too interested in. The atmosphere was quite ghetto and there was an «artist» painting graffiti on the wall. There was trash everywhere and even smelled like a dumpster. Maybe this is a good day-time place but not late night though.

Just a heads up that The Pedicab still does it thing every night, but they do one less thing every Sunday, no more Chicken and Waffles. My wife and I went every weekend we were off to enjoy the chicken and waffles as well as the Mimosas; and will mourn this day for quite some time. Apparently Outlaw BBQ is doing it’s chicken and waffle thing on Saturdays at The Pearl; so there’s that option, but I don’t see how it would compare to the long lazy Sunday’s at The Pedicab.

A dive bar with a fantastic selection. It’s a simple task and Pedicab does a fairly decent job at completing it. There is the traditional Lone Star or XX or you can be a little more adventurous and try their London Porter, a Dead Guy ale or ask one of the bartenders for a suggestion. Cons: It’s ridiculously hot and stuffy inside, and if you’re a girl you’ll get trapped in the heat waiting for a dirty bathroom with very little privacy. Be wary of the floors if you’re in heels, i’ve had a stiletto get caught in the floorboards before, and my poor patent heels will never look the same.

Who knew they served food here? Apparently a few Unilocalers! *DISCLAIMER* Bar review only! I’m a lady and very much appreciate a place with a nice restroom for a lady. You won’t find that here. You’ll be lucky if you have a toliet seat that doesn’t shift under you, have toliet paper and/or paper towels. You’ll also be lucky if you don’t have to stand in water from over flowed toliets. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard a manager who doesn’t care about a dirty toilet or sink may well not be worried about dirty kitchen floors and counter tops either. If that’s the case here I’m glad I haven’t tried their food. Ok, so mostly I’ve come here to watch a band or after First Friday for a few beers. The cash doesn’t last long if you’re drinking something other than Lone Star($ 2). They don’t accept credit cards. An ATM Machine is just across the room. Their premium beers are over priced in my opinion. If your friends are hanging here or you rode your bike and want to park for awhile check it out. It’s got a great little back patio with a really nice view.

«There’s life before chicken waffles and life after chicken waffles.» — Jeff Mayo I went for breakfast with a group of friends to try this chicken and waffles they had been raving about. We got there at 11:30 am on Sunday to find it closed. The cook was waiting on the guy with the key to the door. We weren’t in a hurry so we sat on the picnic tables outside to talk. The guy with the key came and they asked us to wait until they set up. After some time had passed we went in to get $ 9 bottomless mimosas from the bar(reg. price $ 3 a glass). The bartender was waiting on this lady to bring orange juice and champagne from the grocery store. She had to wait until 12 to buy the champagne so those of us unfamiliar with Pedicab wandered around to check out the scattered paintings for sale. The cook was busy preparing the kitchen. I glanced in and saw a few crock pots laying around. I was starting to get really skeptical about these awesome chicken and waffles. I remember looking at the previous pictures for Pedicab on Unilocal with nice signage and interior decorating. Today the inside looks like it was in a fire or went bankrupt. I don’t remember there being a sign for pedicab like in the picture. I can only guess they closed down at one point and have now re opened. After we got our Mimosas we headed back outside to wait. The food came out quick 2 plates at a time because they only have 2 waffle makers. The presentation was nice. We got linen napkins which was unexpected considering the overall décor of the place. The chicken breast pieces were super moist and had been battered and fried perfectly. The combination of the chicken, waffle, butter, and maple syrup was life altering. It made for a very entertaining Sunday morning. It had been three years since I had a mimosa. My first experience with chicken on my waffles. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten breakfast downtown. I carpooled with friends and got pretty tanked. Cash only conveniently there’s an ATM inside.

Their burgers are pretty awesome(and the wings are so good Ive heard of them referred to as «crack wings» apparently because theyre so addictive)…. I hate beer but they sure do have a HUGE selection that my bf seems to enjoy. Ive been here a handful of times and each time was pretty fun. :)

My group(iLL Prospekt) was jumped by the bartender during our set and destroyed all our gear. This place is real bad. The PA system does not work well, and they do not have what it takes to suit the needs of some bigger groups. I hope this place gets shut down, and sued.

first of all this place is cash only so be warned. the parking lot is small and there’s no smoking inside… other then that it’s a pretty great bar. really cheap drinks and the bar is cozy. cant wait for another show there.

Easy to find in the day but hard as heck to see at night. This place is not to shabby and definitely a place that is good for San Antonio. Good place to go see a band and just chill and kick back a few beers. This an all beer bar and they take cash only so be prepared. The prices are pretty cheap as well, ranging from 2 – 4 bucks. At least that’s what we spent on drinks. The one thing this place could use is some lights around the stage area because it’s a bit hard to focus in the dark. Also it looks they have a website coming up at but find them at Big Note: Tip the bartenders because they do an excellent job of picking up after you.
