I see where this place got its name, however they shoulda called this plc. Mrs. Piggys. The lady kept harassing us. asking us what we were looking for. They have hardly no beer selection, which is fine. We were gonna buy a six pack but she kept asking us what we wanted. So annoying.

This little piggy went to the market to cure thirst after working on the pig farm all day. I was pigfounded when I realized what I’ve been missing! I LOVE this boutique liquor store. I mean, where else can you find small unique gifts and liquor, plus you get to see pigs roaming around the liquor. These pigs are well mannered and tamed, the owner has taught them to sit and act cute while you browse for selections. The owner is very friendly and has always been helpful. She has truly created one of the most unique shops in San Antonio and by-far the best liquor store. With nearby residential units popping up, this will be my new pigpen!

We came here years ago when on a trip to San Antonio. The location was the old location. I bought five dollar Hawaiian shirts, my boyfriend at the time bought beer and played with some kitty cats that the owner was fostering. It was pretty awesome.

I just wanted to go to this store and check in even though I didn’t purchase anything just so I had a store named Pig Liquors in my review list. LOL I’m insane. ;-)

I was in town for a convention staying at a hotel, went for a run, and wanted some refreshment. Found Pig’s on Unilocal and took a chance since it was on my way back. The staff member was friendly, helpful, and the conversation was lively. A cute little store with an eclectic mix of wines, spirits, beers, pocket sized bottles for $.99!, and unique gifts. A gem of a find after a long day!

Very funky place. Limited but decent enough wine selection. Having said that they do carry single serve wine bottles — and single serve prosecco too!

As mentioned by others, this is a super cute store. Just a hair pricier than other places, but worth it so see all of the cute kitsch.

This is a secret gem of Southtown. It isn’t a huge store, not a Twin Liquors or Specs by any stretch, but they still keep a great supply of liquors and a decent beer selection. Know you need something in advance? Go in and ask for it, they’ll order it for you. Very friendly and willing to answer questions. I was there looking for a «unique» beer for a beer swap. Found a couple that I had never heard of. I asked the lady at the counter about them and got some amazing descriptions from her to help me decide which one to take to the beer swap.

I’m really into craft beer and was nervous when I first walked in Pig Liquors. Its a quant little space in southtown but the selection was fantastic! The liquor selection looked great as well! Will be back soon.

This is a super cute and convenient«package store» in Southtown. Look, I know no one calls it that here in Texas, but I’m not from these parts and Pig Liquors is a package store in CT. Beer, wine, liquor, other random stuff. Some refrigerated beer, some not, a larger selection of liquors, and a small wine selection. Don’t come for Bud Light, there’s better choices here. The service is friendly and helpful… Always.

Friendliest service that I received during my trip was at this establishment. Only complaint would be limited inventory.

This is an awesome little liquor store with just about anything you might be looking for. Whether in a bottle, can, or knick-knack. Every time I’ve stopped in for some beer to take home I’m always met with a smile and friendly conversation. My latest visit I discovered that they’re carrying BBCo which I’m a huge fan of and can now enjoy without driving all the way out to the brewery. Not that I won’t still do just that :) This awesome shop is clean, well stocked and has so many fun finds to discover, whether you need to add to your collection or not. Your best bet here is to stop by for yourself and check it out!

There is something about Southtown that seems to draw us in, more so the more you frequent it. Surprises and(seemingly) new spots are just around the corner. The trick is to have the patience and open– mindedness to seek them out. Pig Liquors is one of those stores that when you leave it will have made an impression on you. It’s right across the street from another great place, The Filling Station. There is a space or two to park in front of the store. The store itself is really small. Inside there are small displays where bottles of various liquors, wines and select craft brews are placed. The selection I might add is quite excellent and very specific. In their icebox I saw bombers of La Bestia Aimable by Ranger Creek. A Honey Ale by The Guadalupe Brewing Co. snuggling tightly next to other fine beers. Anderson Valley. Even a six pack of Santa Fe’s Java Stout, which was looking for a home and found one with me, are prominent. It’s definitely a store that knows its intended market, people with a very specialized taste. But certainly to not be outdone there are other items that make this store unique. They sell jewelry such as Frida Kahlo earrings, small gift items and neat knick knacks. In addition a small shopping cart is cleverly placed by their entrance so you can buy cool t-shirts by San Antonio renowned artist, Robert Tatum. It is definitely quirky and charming, kinda like if Mork and Mindy decided to open up a business. It is like a smaller Spec’s slash boutique slash Mexican curio shop slash CBGB’s all with a style that is uniquely San Antonio. And in fact it’s almost felt like Slash was there probably somewhere in the back drinking a cold one. And not to be outdone by this, the owner is very friendly and personable. She is more like the host of the store than its proprietor. Its like her personality inhabits this space and it lends to the quirky and charming vibe here. The service is excellent and will be one of the reasons why you will come back. I must confess some of the items here are a little pricey but it is for quality items. Pig Liquors fits perfectly in Southtown. It is small and intimate, but its specialized selection will mean you will leave the store having bought something. The service is excellent. It has a friendly, welcoming vibe. If you are in this location go check this place out. ps. After seeing the picture of the luchador bottle opener I think I have found another reason to visit this store, maybe this weekend?

How many times can you say adorable and liquor store in the same sentence! Pig Liquor was flipping ADORABLE and the clerks were super friendly and cheery. I just left and want to go back! I visit San Antonio frequently and Pig Liquor just became a must stop. I went in for Patron and left with the cutest red lips flask, valentine bottle stops, patron and limes. Such a great change from the chain liquor stores.

This adorable shop keeps getting better and better! Great booze selection + fab vintage finds! Some prices may be a skosh high… but what’s a dollar or two for convenience(when in SouthTown)! Plus, you get that little inkling of self satisfaction of supporting a small, local business ;)

Walked here from my hotel(Marriott Plaza) because it was the closest liquor store with THE best name. Grabbed some beer and was looking for some vodka for my wife, and looking to buy a local Texas brand. The lady at the counter(owner, I believe) recommended a few options and I ended up going with minis of an Austin made vodka. She had ruby red grapefruit, sweet tea, and regular vodka so I picked up a couple of each, for 99 cents apiece. Perfect!

The friendliest neighborhood liquor store, Pig Liquors gets my money and my recommendation. I called to order Brooklyn Summer Ale(because in San Antonio, summer starts in April) on a Tuesday and by Thursday the store called to say that two 12 packs had arrived. Wahoo! Thanks, PL, for making my dreams of delicious BKLN ale come true in a speedy and reliable fashion.
