This park sits in the shadow of the Lone Star Brewery along the banks of the San Antonio River. It has lots of great amenities! There’s some great stuff to do here. It has a rock wall and a playground for this kiddos. Very cool! There’s a bike path that’s wide and scenic. This place even has a public pool! Awesome! The fact that there’s a restroom here is nice. There can be a bit of litter around here, but overall it’s kept up rather nicely. Need to hang out in the shade? Well, there’s not too many trees, but there is a shaded area to chill out under. Parking is easy. It has its own lot. It’s a nice place to hang out and bike around.

You can check out a b cycle here. Don’t know what a b cycle is? Look it up and go somewhere! We met our local bike group here and it was a great place for us to access the river. The other facilities looked nice, the basketball courts were lit at night and the playground looked nice. Check out this park during the day. Tip: Parking is on the river side of the park

This is a nice neighborhood park with all of the amenities — heres’ why: Amenities: Swimming pool, B-Cycle Station, Picnic Space, Bathrooms, Playground, Parking While there is a noticeable amount of litter, the park is overall well-maintained. Roosevelt Park is a simply a nice spot to take your family or pet.

This park is pretty neat. If you think of the park as just the facilities, it’s pretty decked. They’ve got a small rock wall for the tykes(I’d say up to 5th-6th grade sized kids would have fun), a decent sized playground, a big community swimming pool(which has a separate listing on Unilocal), and a basketball court. And let us not forget about access to the always beautiful Mission Reach extension of the Riverwalk. I pass through here at least 3 times a week running and it is a very important water stop for someone on the river doing a long run or ride not carrying water – the fountains are by the basketball courts and/or at the corner of Mission and Lone Star. You might want to think twice about going out for Easter or 4th of July though – it’s a place that people have obviously staked out family spots for years and years in, so finding a space that you won’t be contending for will be difficult!

1 of my Favorite Parks to run at. If your looking for a nice scenery while still getting the chance to burn calories and listen to your IPod this is your place! It’s connected to the Riverwalk expansion on the SouthSide of Downtown.
