My first appointment was on my bday for permanent makeup by Laura Frisk. I have had people ask what products I use to draw my eyebrows. When I tell them they’re tattooed they’re floored! Today I went in for my free touch up and I’m just as pleased with the results as I was initially. This time Laura even did feathering to ensure my brows look as natural as possible. After reading glowing reviews on Nora, let me be the first to say she is not all that. While Nora is always kind and has a smile on her face, her work is not wonderful and she is not focused on what she is doing(cell phone always by her). She worked so hard on the bottom of my heals that I was left with cuts(both feet) and could not wear shoes for a week it hurt so bad. I could not return after that incident. Salon de Frisk has many wonderful and talented hairstylists which does not include Laura(the owner) and Nora(pedi/mani). Both of these ladies are purely about the money.

UPDATE: it’s been quite awhile since my original review. Compliments galore! I still love the work that was done. ! I am overwhelmed with joy about my permanent eyeliner!!! I went to the Laura Frisk Salon and was a bit nervous about having work done so close to my EYES! Laura was wonderful! She explained everything to me beforehand. By the time we finished going over what I wanted, I was more than comfortable to let her begin working. There was nothing in the way of pain. Laura did exactly as I asked her to do. I am more than happy to recommend her to all of my friends. As one gets older, it gets harder to put on eyeliner. That is something I will never have to worry about again! If you are looking to have permanent makeup done, please, do yourself a favor, go see Laura. One note: I read the review that had one star by it. I asked Laura about that. If you are having something corrected or done, be sure and tell Laura about what had been done before. It makes a difference. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her work.

Don’t get permanent makeup with Laura Frisk at Salon De Frisk, you’ll waste your money! She told me the wrong way of how to post care after the permanent makeup, so it didn’t take. Laura told me to rub it very vigorously every 3 hours with lotion, wash it once a day with a mild soap, and put antibacterial ointment on at night, and do this for 5 days. I googled how to post care for permanent makeup and was upset to find out that everything Laura told me to do, is what you’re NOT suppose to do! For Laura Frisk, who has been doing permanent makeup for so many years and still doesn’t know how to post care after doing permanent makeup is really bad especially since she charges outrageous prices!

While I was getting terrific permanent brows and eyeliner with Laura Frisk(love her) I first saw Stylist Tina Zavala and loved her hair cut and style so I made an appt. with her. Tina gave me a perfectly versatile layered bob so I could wear it big, tousled sexy, sassy, or sleek. She did exactly what I wanted but much better than I imagined! Tina can cut and style as an artist with great talent. She styled me beautifully and it lasted for days. Great cut, wonderful blow dry with curling iron touches! I LOVE what she did and that she cared about making me happy! And she’s so sweet, too. She’s a keeper. Btw, I am a stylish middle-aged woman and it is not easy getting a flattering, sexy but age-appropriate style. THANKYOU, Tina and Laura. The staff are friendly, the place is pretty and I recommend them highly!

I originally went in for Brazilian hair treatment. This guy really sold his knowledge. I later called and scheduled a color and cut. The haircut was ok, if this were super cuts, the color was terrible. He did not put a towel around my neck., I specifically pointed out grey on the back of my neck. He left the color on for about 10 minutes, I thought maybe a special kind of product. I got home and could see grey all over. I also found out later that he had skipped an entire step on the Brazilian hair treatment. Just make sure you do more research on who will do your hair. FYI I wouldn’t refer MICHAELSERNA. Maybe he just concentrates on his regular clients and doesn’t care about gaining new ones.

Laura Frisk, the owner of SDF, ROCKS at eyebrow waxing! $ 20 is expensive but worth the cash if you need to reshape your brows. Also, Nora’s been trusted with my personal mani & pedis for 6 years now! Her gel colors are off the chain & she’s really good at fitting you in her busy schedule.

I cannot believe the experience I just had with this business owner. This is possibly the worst customer experience I’ve EVER had! My niece made an appt for me to have a permanent cosmetic procedure done on my eyebrows. I had been to Salon De Frisk before for the same procedure so when the appt was made the receptionist told her that I would not be charged the full price. I came in for the appt on Sat and it was great! There was a group of us all getting different procedures and it couldn’t have gone better. When it was time to check out I was charged the amt discussed at the time the appt was set and was told by the owner that because of the lower price I would have to pay full price for any touch-ups. I agreed and happily left. Today my sister called and said that I needed to call the salon regarding my touch-up appt. I called first thing this morning and was left on hold. I called back this afternoon and left a message. When I finally spoke to the receptionist she told me that they were going to charge me the full amount for the procedure… which was double the amt I was charged! WHAT?! Who does that?! I explained that when the appt was made we were told that because I had been there previously for the same procedure I would not be paying the full amt and in fact was not charged the full amt at check-out. When I spoke to the owner today she said that I should have known I would be charged the full amt because she had to draw on my brows??? Just how was I supposed to «know» that? How in the world can you decide to raise the amount you charge a customer days after the appt? I am a sales & customer service manager… I can’t imagine trying to do this to one of our customers. This is very poor business practices and extremely poor customer service! All I can say is buyer BEWARE!

My stylist just transferred here from Moxie, so I followed her to her new location at Salon de Frisk. The name of this place kinda sounded weird at first, but what I gathered is that it’s the owner’s last name. All the employees«rent» their chair from the owner so they set their own prices and schedules. Looks like they are a full service salon-hair, nails, massages, etc. The location is not anything amazing, but the inside is decorated nice, the staff is friendly and its clean and bright. For color and cuts, ask for Ms. Megan Nock!

Sydney has been my stylist for about the last 4 years, she moved to this salon a few months ago. She is a master at color and highlights. I get so many compliments on my hair all the time, not to mention she is very efficient time wise. I always love the color and cut she gives me. She is smart, funny and sweet which always makes my appointment a nice retreat. She can be reached by calling 210−730−3157. I have referred several friends to her(men and women) and everybody loves the quality of her work. She did fusion extensions for a friend recently and they look so incredible! This salon is full service hair, nails, an esthetician, and permanent make up. It is beautiful and all of the people there are so nice.
