Silly Goose Snax & Sweets

I have visted this food truck at Main Plaza several times, and, I have yet to be disappointed. They usually have a daily special that is plentiful AND reasonable. There ain’t a thing silly about that.
I am sweet on cranberries, so today was my lucky day! Today’s special was a cranberry almond chicken salad sandwich. My only complaint, cut it half for me next time because the sandwich was too big to handle whole. Walked away with the sandwich, pesto pasta salad & drink for $ 8. Oh, today is their 2 year anniversary! They were giviing away petite pink cupcakes! I am officially a loyal fan of Silly Goose. OH! And, must add that the 2 gals that run that truck are just dolls! Dolls, I say!

As the downtown food truck initiative keeps on rolling, I’ve been introduced to the yummy snacks from this pink polka dotted truck. So far in the sweets category, I’ve tried their Strawberry-​Rhubarb Pie, Lemon Bars and Pretzel Caramel tarts and they’ve all been baked fresh and delicious with my favorite being the pie. Snack-​wise, their Italian Sandwich was superb, mainly because of the fresh, thick mozzarella slices. Silly Goose has also served up the best tuna salad sandwich I’ve ever had. Chunks of apples, celery slices and walnuts mixed in on a huge, soft bolillo, for only $ 4? Now that’s a damn deal y’all.
The ladies running the joint are so, so nice! Like Pre-​K school nurse nice. But with tattoos. Which makes them that much more awesome. Hoping they stick around (and keep the cucumber cup with key lime juice and chili on the menu!) because they’re serving up some of the best lunch available by the courthouse!
