I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I went on a Sunday and the PA who I saw was simply awful. After waiting over an hour in the waiting room in severe pain, I then waited another 30 minutes in the office while I could hear the PA talking to the other staff about how she likes chardonney, and was not a beer girl hehe and how she cries to Adele with her cousin while driving, how she cried during the last hunger games movie when the sister died and on and on in vast detail of her personal life. That was nothing more than frivolous to someone sitting in severe pain and has only very recently lost their actual sister. An urgent care clinic just isn’t the appropriate setting for such high school behavior. As if she was at happy hour. Sitting there hearing that in that much pain made me feel so uncared for, especially after having paid the urgent care fee. She finally came in the room and greeted me, still giggly and giddy from her attention getting right outside the door. She apologized for the wait saying it was really busy for a Sunday, although I was still the only patient there the entire time. I let her know I have MRIs and Xray results if she needed to see them and she said it wasn’t necessary. Mind you I never go to doctors unless absolutely necessary. She showed me a printout from some narcotic tracking program stating I had received a narcotic a month prior and if that was «what I liked to take» because they do not «do that there» I stated it was from the dentist after oral surgery and I didn’t take it anyway but that I was new to San Antonio and hoping for a PCP (which I heard this place was as well) and possible referral or some advice on my condition. Since it is rare and not well understood but can cause severe nerve pain and paresthesia. She looked puzzled as to what SEL was and I explained and I informed her I was a nurse but do not know of good specialists in the area. She then went on about her mother in law needing a knee replacement, while examining her huge wedding ring looking so pleased with herself. It was as if a 16 year old cheerleader was playing doctor. She then asked me in depth questions about my personal work place rehabing her mother and how in my opinion would I think it would be for her, the pain, the downtime and amount of scarring from the surgical incision. I felt like crying and then she wrapped the visit up by asking if I wanted a referral to a pain clinic. She had no regard for my well being and pain, I would have been happy to not have been treated like a drug seeker at the very least. She was rude, uncaring and offensive. This PA is a disgrace to her profession and makes all well meaning physicians look bad. I’d like to think if she would have just read the MRI results she would have taken me seriously but it was apparent she had no intention of working or giving attention to anyone but herself. I left the office in tears and was humiliated.

Never again.
For the past 9 years, I only get sick once a year. However, I do need a prescription refilled every 90 days. Can I refill it over the phone? Nope. I have to take 2 hours out of my day to go into the office, pay the copay, wait in the waiting room, just to tell the nurse that all I want is a refill so I can tell the doc that all I want is a refill.
Recently, I was told there were unpaid charges dating back to June. Now, I understand that insurance can take time to process and not everything gets paid, but that’s when I saw the itemized list of charges. NOW it all makes sense.
Why no refills over the phone? He bills the insurance company $ 170 every time I walk through the door. He’s constantly trying to get me to do extra things like x-​rays, blood draws, etc even though I’m not sick. Why? To charge the insurance company of course. The real kicker?
Oh yes, he’s billing my insurance for services he never did.
I’m done.

I do like the service here. I’m always seen quickly and given the treatment I need. Dr. Gogu does not seem to understand much of what I say and a lot gets lost in translation. That is the only thing preventing me from granting 5 stars.

Do not go here. Terrable staff. Not friendly at all. Dr just know basics. Oh and when he gives you a prescription you will not get it in three days. They don’t fax it or fax it to the wrong place. The office manager never ever return your calls. They are very expensive. This either need a new office manager or new Dr or fire the the entire staff. Pathetic place. Not one star from me but I have to give a star to post this. It’s all about how much money they can get for doing nothing.

Amazing service .very caring dr and attentive staff and manage to pin point the problem Asap. No appt needed !! They seem to work quickly with the patients !

I would not recommend this place, the entering and exiting the parking lot is RIDICULOUS. The waiting room is extremely tiny, especially for a walk in clinic. The assistant I dealt with was nice, the lady evening doctor was nice as well and was gentle with my 8 month old.
The actual doctor in the mornings is not great at all, he was rough as soon and he grabbed my daughters face the way he did to check her I did not like him and made her cry instantly. I did not like him and will not be going back.

I have given this place two chances and both times it’s fallen short.
The first was an urgent care visit. When asked why I wanted to be seen, I mentioned a specific purpose and asked if it was possible. The front desk staff said yes. When I saw the physician’s assistant, she told me otherwise. She was nice enough to go out of her way to chat with the front desk staff and solve the problem. Shouldn’t have been necessary, but everything turned out fine so I scheduled a primary care appointment.
Turns out, the front desk staff scheduled 5 people in the same slot. It was the first appointment of the day, so it’s not like there was a backlog of earlier appointments in front of me. After 30 minutes of waiting, only 2 of the 5 people had been taken to the back. At this rate it was going to take me another 30 minutes to even start my appointment (1 hour late). This defeats the point of having an appointment and is totally unacceptable.
Edit: looking at other’s reviews has given me the impression that they don’t even take appointments. Why, when I called, was I told that I had an appointment? Wouldn’t it be necessary to tell someone who calls asking for an appointment that you don’t book appointments? So unacceptable.

This place is a joke.
First, it over 3 hours to be seen for an rx refill, but that would have been fine if they hadn’t wasted more time with other nurses coming into the exam room trying to sell me some kind of allergy treatments (I don’t have allergies).
The dr. spent less than five minutes with me, but I was there for a very specific reason so it did not bother me. What has me FURIOUS is the fact that I’m now stuck with a $ 245 Aetna bill for a «Complex Office Visit» and «Behavioral Counseling for Obesity» (I’m a little chubby, but that NEVER CAME UP IN THE EXAM)
Now, I’ve got to call Aetna and get these charges corrected. I’m sure it’s going to be a PAIN.
This office takes advantage of people by seeming convenient with the whole no appointment thing, but in reality they are just scam artists.
Don’t give them your time or money.

Wonderful place! I truly enjoyed it and the staff were just great. I will definitely be returning. The doctor truly showed concern for me and I appreciated that. The wait was not long. Overall they are a great place.

If I could give it a lower score I would. First off, I have been fired from my job due to someone’s incompetence in the office. I received a doctors note for my absence due to a badly sprained ankle, the original date on my note was change instead of writing a new note, after turning this note into my HR department the note was deemed false, and when they called to verify the note the medical assistants, office manager and doctor have verified it as false. No one wants to own up to the mistake. The office was not busy when I went in, The staff is unfriendly and not attentive whatsoever. The doctor himself was friendly and polite, but ultimately vague and basic with his care. They slapped a brace on me, and sent me on my way with little instructions of follow up. If you are looking for an urgent care clinic I highly recommend going to a Texas Med Clinic or a local provider with appointments available, this place seems to employ liars as well as horrible staffing.

I’m new to San Antonio and haven’t established a doctor yet. All the places I called aren’t accepting new patients for weeks. I came here after getting into an accident and getting vertigo (again) as I didn’t want it to get worse yet. I came on a Tuesday around 12 was seen pretty quickly and out by 1245. The staff was friendly and helpful as I have never had to deal with an automobile accident injury problems with insurance and all that exciting stuff… Doctor gave sent in the prescription I needed and I was on my way.

Please read before you think about this place.
My niece just got her stitches removed = $ 95
She went in, it took 45 minutes to get her seated in the doctor’s room when there wasn’t a single person in the waiting room or inside, nurse took her vitals, then saw the doctor who put on his gloves, searched around for a magnifying glass, looked and touched on top of the cabinets and everywhere else WITH his gloves on, couldn’t find his magnifying glass and said ‚‘it’s okay,’ proceeded to start clipping the stitches, stretches out each stitch to where they start bleeding, snips multiple times, not caring where he cut, misses many times, doesn’t check to see if he left stitches in my niece (which he left two), presses down on her wound with his dirty gloves while she is bleeding, rubs it, releases her without cleaning her blood or giving dressing. She said she asked for something to put on and he put a bandaid (A BANDAID). The bandaid was too small and the sticky part went over her bleeding stitches.
Lots of pain for her and lots of frustration: My niece spent two weeks taking care of her arm the best that she could and she goes here… he made her feel like her hard work taking care of herself went to waste because he was not careful and didn’t care about pain. I drove her there and regretted not going in with her. I thought it was be a simple painless procedure, but it wasn’t.
The wait, her hard earned money, and our time was not worth it. I feel very sad for this clinic and for the people it serves. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

If you’re in a pinch and can’t see your primary care provider, Dr. Gogu is worth a shot. His office advertises itself as a family practice /​urgent care. I’m not sure what the difference is as they do not take appointments at all, it’s walk-​ins only and first come first served. The staff was pleasant, but the entire experience feels very transactional overall. On both our visits to Stone Oak Urgent Care, Dr. Gogu spent maybe five minutes with us during each visit. We had a lot of questions that we wanted answers to, but he doesn’t seem like the type of person who is inclined to have in-​depth discussions regarding medical treatment options. It’s more of a place to get a prescription for some pills to hold you over until you can seek more specialized help or your visit your PCP. The big plus with going to his office is they are open 7 days a week, and your insurance may just be billed as a regular doctor visit instead of an urgent care visit.
If you’re experiencing a serious or potentially life threatening medical issue, I wouldn’t take a chance by going here. Go to an ER or one of the larger urgent care centers like Impact Urgent Care, or Texas Med Clinic.

I am new to San Antonio. I do not have a family practice doctor. I had an issue that needed immediate attention. Couldn’t get in to any local doctor for a few weeks because I’m a «new patient.» Sad things are that way now. Walked in to this Urgent Clinic on a Friday around 4pm. A little bit of a wait. The cost at this place was a little less than a few others nearby. Dr. Gogu was great. Staff was friendly. Had a follow up on Wednesday around 4pm. Shorter wait. Again, Dr. Gogu is nice /​thoughtful. He had to do a painful procedure on me and he was genuinely concerned about my pain and how I felt. What I found here … if you just need a prescription for something, this is a good place to go. I ended up having to go to a specialist because all I receive here was antibiotics and pain meds. I needed minor /​in-​office surgery. It was good to see an actual doctor seeing patients at one of these clinics! I believe he is the only one who sees patients! That is a bonus!
