I like the location itself because its very bright and clean and all the stylists are friendly and converse freely with their clients. This salon hasn’t been the busiest of places, maybe location?, and it is typically pretty easy for walk-​ins to be seen promptly. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of staff working at once, assuming because it’s not the busiest spot, but personally I like that because I don’t ever feel rushed. Or have an insane wait. The biggest negative is the fact that there are no bathrooms! Employees and customers both have to run into the neighboring HEB to use the facilities so that wasn’t too bright on construction to me. Also the fact that management decided to stop carrying Redken products blows! I love that product and was sad to see it go from the shelves, its an inconvenience actually because now I have to make other stops just to get the products I like and use often … :(

I have been going to see Vickie Olivarez at The HairCutters for several years now and she is fantastic! She is great with hair color! I have always completely changed my look from the brightest blonde to a range of brunettes and reds to rich browns and honestly I always walk out looking glamorous! She always knows just what to do with color for me. I have never had a haircut that was a disappointment either. I could show any picture of a style I wanted and Vickie has been able to pull off any look for me. Vickie always takes care of my hair and makes sure I have the right products to keep my locks looking perfect and healthy. I have done some EXTREME changes and she always knows how to treat and handle my hair and the stresses I have put on it! Fortunately, I have been seeing her long enough that she knows me and my style and can whip up color and snip my hair into just the shape I like without much input from me now and that is a rare find, i love it! Vickie is really the only person I trust to take care of my locks in San Antonio. Oh, and I personally have witnessed Vickie offering suggestions and tips to other stylists to ensure their clients are satisfied and that just reinforces my belief that she knows hair and is the best! :)

Dropped by Saturday around noon and had no wait. Porcia was my stylist and she offered me water and then performed miracles with my thinning hair. She is very friendly and courteous along with giving you a professional haircut, shampoo, and blow dry.
