Amazing brunch. If you want to meet the best bartending duo in the world, grab a seat at the bar on a Sunday morning. Cheap eats, strong mimosas and great friends. It’s what«Cheers» wishes it could be.

They have a great beer selection! The bartenders were fast, very friendly. Good pours also. My boyfriend ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which came out hot and fast. Their fries are like crack. Super crispy and seasoned perfectly. Will be back!

Came here because I had a Groupon for 2 Hangar burgers + fries + an order of wings for $ 14. Probably the best value I have ever gotten from a Groupon! The burgers were really really good and having them on a ciabatta bun made them even better. The wings(medium) were probably the best and crispiest wings I have had in my 11 months in San Antonio. Waitress was super friendly and prompt. Only downside was that our wings came out at the same time as our burgers, but everything was hot so it didnt make a difference. We were able to go back and forth between the wings and bites of burgers. Ended up taking some wings home + most of our tots/fries because there was so much food!

The bar food is acceptable, but I don’t come here for the food. Decent beer selection and drink specials. Countertop picnic table row seating, lots of screens to catch sports, and a nice patio they’ll open up if the weather is cooperative. Overall, not a bad spot to have in your bar rotation, been in mine for years.

I love a good dive and sports bar and this is the place! The staff is wonderful and always helpful. They are fast even when they are overcrowded. The bartenders deserve a lot of credit for the rush they get on Sundays during football season with brunch. The bottomless brunch food is just okay but I loved other options on the menu. I would definitely suggest that instead. I didn’t feel like the«bottomless brunch» lived up to its name. Now the fried mushrooms, those were on point. The mimosas are also great and for $ 1 a great deal for Sunday brunch. I love the dive bar feel but the amount of options craft beer wise. The Hangar has really improved over the years and I am excited to frequent the bar more!

We come out here a few times a month. Good vibes, solid staff, tasty food &drinks, and so many activities from beer pong to watching whatever on the surrounding big screens, to(our favorite) cards against humanity. Another plus for anybody with fur-babies, they’re dog friendly!

Lousy service. Went for brunch and were seated right away. However, we had to wait 20 minutes to get menus. We were the only people in the entire place. After we got menus it was another 20 minutes until our server came back. At that point we decided to drink our mimosas and leave. Our server did bring us our mimosas we ordered in a timely manner but that was it. I mean it is a bar. Oh well. We went to Taco Garage instead for brunch. I highly recommend that place! Delicious.

Number 1 highlight for me: this is place is SUPER pet friendly!!! They have a great patio, and will even allow them inside the bar area! Every time we bring our furbaby there, he gets totally spoiled by the staff. They bring him out his own bowl of water and sometimes he gets treats! This is by far one of the most accomodating places we have ever taken our dog so they would get my vote of approval on that alone. But there’s more! Their staff is pretty amazing. We usually only can make it out here on Sundays due to our work schedules. Sundays at The Hangar are known as Ginger Sundays because they have two gorgeous redheads working the bar(as a redhead myself, I may be biased haha). The drinks are strong, the service is quick, and the girls are a ton of fun, and are always joking around with the customers. The food is typical bar fare and all that grease goes sooooo perfectly with your delicious drinks. We’ve only tried a couple different things but their breakfast sandwich is scrumptious(fried eggs, bacon, cheese on Texas toast), the chicken club is good(though in my opinion the breast is just too thick, and it makes eating it awkward… seriously, I make enough of a mess when I’m sober, don’t try me when I’m drinking!), and their mozzerella sticks are amazeballs!!! On the note of foods… they have bottomless brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 – 3. Brunch is $ 10 and includes eggs, bacon, and hasbrowns. Mimosas are oly $ 1 during that time as well. The Hangar really prides itself on being a place where you go to do more than just sit at the bar. Along with multiple televisions throughout the bar, they have a ton of fun games to play: giant Connect Four, giant Jenga, giant billiards(with soccer balls!), and giant beer pong(are you sensing a theme?). Bathroom facilities are modern and clean(I had to mention cos I am super particicular about restrooms). On the note of cleanliness, some people may be concerned about dogs being inside, and the servers handling them. This was actually a concern of mine as well, but I have seen that they wash their hands after every encounter so fear no more! Overall, this is my favourite spot for day drinking and would recommend to anyone!

So, the Hangar was the first place I visited on a regular basis when I moved to the area and to boot, it was close to the pad. Although it tries to be a lot of things, at the end of the day, it is a decent bar with good pours and cold beer. The food is halfway decent, but is still bar food at the end. They are stocked with good bar games, and have a pretty decent jukebox, cannot account for some peoples taste in music, but it is subjective, right? Some of the afternoon regulars are characters; they have a few grizzled veterans that go in the early afternoon, as long as you keep your mouth shut, you’re ok. They invite you, you don’t invite them, got it? Service is pretty decent, some of the bartenders in the past have had a attitude, but the last few times I have gone, it has been without a hitch. Bathrooms are a little interesting, but they serve their purpose. You go, you pay the water bill and exit. If you have to take the browns to the Superbowl, you’re on your own. Easily located off of 410, and is surrounded by other bars, where you can bar hop. I have started many a night or ended many a night at The Hangar, and love the place for what it is. A good place to have a cold beer or a nice solidly poured drink.

I love this bar! They have fun oversized outdoor games and fun theme nights. The bar crowd is everything from college kids to middle age peeps. Great vibe. On rare occasion you get a bar tender with better looks than skills but I feel like that’s standard for most bars. Worth checking out.

Cool place except for one bartender, she was totally rude and acted like it was a waste of her time to take an order. Will have my beer and go else where, next time I’m in town will spend my money else where Gave this place a second chance, and have been back several times. Good place check them out.

I have been here twice. I love the ping pong table. The kitchen isnt open til evenings. It is now dog friendly by the way. There is a patio in the feont and back. I think thsy play washers and horse shoes, maybe cornhole too. There is a volleyball league in the summer, if you win your game that night, I have heard your team gets one pitcher of domestic. Good location. They have a big connect four, darts, Jenga and lots of tv’s. Great atmosphere.

A fun, chill place to hang out. Nothing fancy. Basically a typical sports bar. Lots of TVs so it’s great for game watching. Good drink specials and quick bartenders. Went for Sunday Funday this time and it was a great spot for that. It was a pretty day outside so they popped open the garage door that opens to the outside«patio». Kind of like that it felt like we were sitting outside and enjoying the gorgeous weather. The food is okay… Just bar food. I did enjoy the southwest egg rolls though. Those hit the spot.

I had to give The Hangar an update since they changed their credit card policy. Now, they offer a 5% discount on cash transactions, which is nice! The Hangar is a fun place to hang out, grab a cold one, and play some games. They offer a bunch of fun things to keep you entertained, like giant Jenga, video games, pool, trivia nights– there’s always something going on there. They have great drink specials, and an okay beer list. My favorite thing about the place is that when you check in on Unilocal, you get a free beer! Woot! That’s pretty great in my book! If you happen to be driving by, and they’ve roped off their parking lot, those are the best days to stop by. They have outdoor events, which are usually a lot of fun!

I love the offer for Unilocalers. A free pre-flight. To be fair, when you say free«pre-flight» I thought they were going to give me beer samples, turns out that’s what they call their appetizers. Fine by me. I’ve been here a few times to socialize with my SSC teammates. Beer is cold, servers are usually attentive even if you’re at a table, and there are plenty of TVs. The food is meh, to the nth degree. First time I got a philly cheesesteak, it was basically sodium rich meat substitute with melted government cheese. At least the bread was somewhat fresh. They serve breakfast all day/night so that always seems appealing but after the kiss of salty death I’m avoiding real food for now. Their mozzarella sticks aren’t anything special, you can easily tell they’re from a bag. The fried pickles were a little bit better, but sitll nothing to write home about. I’ll keep coming because the location is convenient and the company is fun.

We had been driving by this place for a while and then swung by there for the hell of it since it seemed to be slightly lively on a Wed evening. This can be best classified as a bit of a dive with a bunch of TV’s and a standard bar which smells like .lets say stale beer. But all that aside we have had pretty friendly service every time I have been there. Well priced martini’s, bartenders and bartendresses who seem bimbette like but actually do know how to make decent mixed drinks and friendly service make this a pretty allright place to hang out in. Bottlecaps are perfectly crunchy with slight heat, burgers are pretty okay and the frito pie is a perfect sloppy side to a cold beer! Not a bad place overall!
