This place makes me cringe every time I am forced to come here. It looks like Black Friday hits the store every single day… and I don’t mean that as in it is busy – it is a complete disaster. Toys are mixed with other toys and it looks like the last time they fronted their aisles was when they had their grand opening. It doesn’t seem like it matters what time I go, whether it is early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The stoee is never organized. Their electronic section is probably the most decent looking department. Makes you wonder if their management cares. I would be utterly embarassed to call it my store. Good luck finding prices, too. The pegs have clearance labels all over but when you get to the register, the items end up ringing as regular price. It isn’t until you bring it to the associates’ attention that they will do anything about it. If you are able to navigate your way through this jungle, however, you will find that they actually do have decent deals. Their toy selections are huge and they do price match other stores so in the end, you can walk out with good buys. Good luck.

The customer service here is great. We had our basket full and asked Tony if he had any coupons. He was so generous and had two to offer us! He went above and beyond to help us save money! We really appreciate the help. We have been in here three times in the last month and the service is always friendly and consistent. Anyone who has given a bad review is crazy.

What a mess! The displays here look like a million kids have run their grubby hands all over everything in the store. The displays are covered in dust and something sticky. The aisles are rather small and crowded. Screaming and whining kids run amok up and down the aisles. I came here looking for a birthday present, and they didn’t have anything close to what I was looking for. The staff was nonexistent. Nobody to help me find what I was looking for. I got fed up and left. I won’t go here again unless I’m forced to.

Very slow to do anything here. Bad customer service, even the actual customer service counter. Not much in stock.

I hope someone open a Buy Buy Baby in San Antonio soon. Sadly this is the only large market baby registry option(other than target and Walmart) and the customer service is terrible. The store is constantly out of items, discontinuing items, items in store aren’t located where they’re suppose to be, few people to help, returning item without a gift receipt is a nightmare.

Not impressed at all! I visited to the store during the middle of the day two week before Christmas, busy to say the least. I saw several employees milling about. When I asked one for help, she acted offended that I spoke to her. I finished my shopping elsewhere! I then thought I would try again, this time calling prior to my visit to make sure they had the toy I was looking for. After 30 minutes of ringing(no exaggeration) no one answered the line! I know it is Christmas and stores are swamped, but with minimal organizational skills someone should be able to answer the phone, or at least have a message saying due to high store volume you will need to leave a message! Never again!

Went to check out their tablets for my girl and as soon as I walked in there was stuff everywhere. I tried to pick up a hoola hoop out of a box and couldn’t cause there was so much stuff in the box. It looked like they haven’t zoned the aisles in months. Very disappointed. Cause when I tried to look at any of the tablets they were all password protected. Really? How am I suppose to decided if I can’t even look at them. Hope they fix this soon. No employee was willing to help or simply they didn’t know about the product.

Nasty, nasty, nasty! Stuffed toys were soiled. No prices on most products. Nothing is in its right place. Even somebody’s half eaten lunch was sitting on a shelf. Management must be a HUGE problem. Employees were nice but overwhelmed. Will never return

Every time I come here looking for a toy I am asked by an employee if they could help me find anything. I tell them what I’m looking for and they say they haven’t seen that in years or a simple no. Then I end up finding it several isles later. How do employees not know their sections? Pretty much get disappointed in T-R-U selection these past few years their employees included. Although unique toys are plenty one could find them online with special shipping rates via Amazon. You won’t find me in any line on black Friday here.

When I was growing up, Toys ‘R Us was the Promised Land of toy stores. Sure, you could get a toy elsewhere, but if you really wanted the good stuff Toys ‘R Us was the place to go. Times have changed. I considered that I was looking at the retailer through a grown up eye, however this grown up still plays with toys from time to time(I have a one eyed Littlest Petshop Bird named Davy Jones) so I feel like I still have a valid opinion. While the place still looks expansive and clean, you can get a bulk of, if not all off, the mainstream toys everyone is playing with at Target or Walmart. Typically you will pay marginally less at one of the two. TRU still fills a certain niche market but not very well. Over the course of time the niche markets(we’re talking collectibles for the older gent) have grown enough that they have their own establishments. Most of the toys I collect for example come from comic stores. While they still do have extraordinary offers during the holiday seasons, trips to TRU have sadly degenerated in to multi-hour long ordeals in which you are over saturated with wares, over charged, and just counting the minutes before you can leave. Part of me died, just now.

Was in there this am picking up some last minute toys for the kiddos. As it is the week of Christmas I was expecting chaos and mayhem. It was nothing like that! The shelves show that they have been hit hard but it was neat and tidy with no lines at the checkout.
