Nice store, nice people, and its small. Overall clean looking store. The only complaint is the temperature of the store is freezing cold.

Never enough cashiers you have to check yourself out or wait in long lines and when you get to the cashier she has to go and help the people at the self check. Employees are rude and insincere. Take my advice drive the less than mile to H.E.B. where you’ll always get great service kind employees and the same prices.

Rude Rude Rude !!! The Cashier was a sarcastic person. She was putting down a customer to another person. Some manager walked up on my heels behind me in the aisle. He is lucky I didn’t turn around and belt him one. This store is beginning to show it’s true colors. The first two experiences weren’t that bad, but I guess since the store recently opened up in the community they wanted to be nice. I hope everybody in the zip codes boycotts this store. If they move out, then maybe our property values on our homes can steadily rise again.

First time that I have been to a Walmart grocery store that was not part of one of their Supercenter Walmarts. Pros: Very clean and well organized. MUCH cleaner than the nearby neighborhood HEB on Guilbeau. And the aisles are much wider. Not as cramped. Lots of employees available to help you. Some prices were better than HEB. Most were the same. Better selection of many brands than you’ll find at any HEB. Even the Super HEB on Bandera at 1604. Produce that was available was very good quality. On par or better than HEB. No lines at the checkouts because the place is not very busy with customers. I walked right up to one of the four manned(not self checkout) checkout lanes with no wait. You can pick up Walmart online orders from here, and also return Walmart merchandise from other regular Walmarts with no wait. Cons: I’m not sure if it was due to the holidays or what, but they were out of several things I wanted. Like bulk garlic, and there were only two types of tomatoes available: plenty of Roma tomatoes, and some bags of tomatoes on the vine… no heirlooms or beefsteak tomatoes. When I went to the cut meats refrigerated section, their selection of steaks was very limited and several labeled sections were empty… no Ribeyes, for example. And I saw nothing marked Prime at all… Then I went to buy baking chocolate(unsweetened powder) and the only brand available was Hershey’s. I wanted Ghirardelli, but they only had the sweetened Ghirardelli powder in a bag. What is so strange about this was that so many other items in the store had brands you can’t find at HEB anywhere in SA! And in the produce section, there are no twist ties for the produce bags. I even asked one of the people working in the produce section… wierd! Overall: clean, not crowded, quick checkout, better stocked than a Walmart Supercenter food section, but understocked in a few areas. I’ll keep coming back.

It’s well-lit and currently very clean. The produce is pretty awful, though not nearly as bad as the compost you’ll find at Target. Most of the checkout lanes are self-checkout which is odd for a grocery store. Good luck getting ANYONE to help you if the self-checkout has an issue. In spite of the fact there are no less than a dozen employees wandering around the store the checkouts are not manned. Prices are almost exact with the HEB down the street. The whole place feels like a slightly bigger version of a Dollar General and I think it’s a sign the area is depreciating. I definitely won’t be back.
