I love Chipotle, but the service here is terrible! The staff does not seem as knowledgable and professional as every other location I have been to so far. The service is also pretty slow. Took about 10 mins to get what should’ve taken only a couple minutes.

I really like Chipotle food because it’s healthy and fresh. However I just had a bad experience in this chipotle. I hate when«operation like this» hurt good brand like Chipotle. 1. Food quality — lettuce was so old that i can see coloring in it. Portion size was too little. 2. Customers service — did not say hi or hello. Employees were busy talking too each other doesn’t pay attention to customers. I asked extra salsa girl place the salsa on the counter while she was facing other way talking to other employees.

This is a really STINGY and crappy chipotle. They don’t give you full scoops of anything! The tacos get 5 pieces of meat each if you’re lucky and they’ll charge you extra if you ask for more. You get barely a half scoop of beans. I can count the number of beans I got in my burrito bowl. This is the only chipotle I know that’s this bad with all the ingredients. Not worth the money. Go to the location in west lake or the one by Serramonte. This one is the worst I’ve been to. They were even stingy with the lettuce!!! I am used to the locations in socal where they give you full scoops of everything.

I went in to get a quesadilla. I asked the worker how much it was because the price was not posted and she did not know and just threw out any number. The food was gross. I couldn’t even stomach eating my food in its entirety. I’ll never eat at chipotle again because of the horrible customer service and the quality of the food I got here. I’m disappointed in chipotle, it’s going downhill.

At 7pm I counted 40 people in line. There were two people behind the counter. I saw two people leave from the back to go home(I get it, maybe their shift was over, but I’ve also worked food service, sometimes it’s nice to get an extra hour or two). Let’s do the math here: even if each person took only one minute, it would still be 40 minutes before I had a burrito! I tried to remain calm, but then the man at the front of the line ordered four bowls. And that what when I decided to call it a day. Be prepare to wait in long lines! Head to another location!

So I regularly go to the chipotle in Milbrae and felt it would save me a lot more time to go to this new chipotle since it is closer to home. Well, I am standing in line and the girl is taking my order. New chicken just came out and the girl preceded to take a small salsa cup and take out a few pieces of chicken. Then, she goes to the other girl on the grill and said there was blood on the chicken while scooping now tainted meet on my bowl. My boyfriend had already paid while I was still ordering so we let the cashier know of the issue. The manager comes and is explained the situation. The dude says,“well I don’t have time to check the chicken. It seems fine from here.” I was so shocked that he didn’t apologize for one. He was pissed we asked for a refund. And chose not to take that chicken off the line possibly contaminating the people behind me. I’m sticking to my Milbrae peeps. They know how to make it right. Try to avoid this place unless you want to get sick.

One star for being Chipotle and one star for location, it’s a great addition to the food court at Tanforan. There were just too many stir fries or some type of BBQ in that food court: Panda, Jake’s, Sarku, Sorabol. You get the drill. Its just same method, different sauce. You’ll also notice how Panda Express next door used to have the longest lines, now the line consist of maybe 5 people or so. Minus one star for the slowest crew of Chipotle. Oh, maybe that’s why they now have the longest line. You can literally be the person next in line to order, and still have enough time to browse through all of your social media feeds, possibly have a short phone call, and they’re still scooping meat for the previous customer. If you’re just too hungry, line up elsewhere. Chipotle is everywhere, not just this location. Minus one star for the stingiest crew. Maybe that’s why they are forming the queue, they have to count every piece of rice, bean, and meat to meet the store standard. Multiple times I came here, every scoop of item is like half a spoonful. Okay, I don’t mind you cheaping out on rice, but I am paying for my meat right? And your veggies are just sitting there because not many ppl order the peppers and onions anyway. If you don’t say anything, your bowl is probably half full, your burrito might be just midget sized. Minus one star for inconsistencies. Some days their food were just right, taste just like any other locations. Many times their food turns out overly salty. Few times their meat were so burnt that I had pieces of black stuff in my bowl of some charred meat skin or just dried up oil, no idea. Definitely filled with inexperienced people, hopefully they can improve over time. Would hate to see a convenient location closed down.

I won’t bother with my typical lengthy review since we’re talking mall food and chains are fairly consistent from one location to another. Chipotle at Tanforan is one of the newer eateries if not the newest. Prior to catching ‘The Gambler’, we hit the food court and Chipotle had one of the longer lines with about 10 – 12 people in front of me. Chipotle utilizes the factory line when producing food orders which speeds things up typically. I ordered a bowl and tacos and a young girl started the order, passed it to a younger male and passed it one last time to the cashier. I did see some employees not doing much but standing around, but for the most part everyone was hands on deck. The food was great. $ 20 for a bowl, 3 tacos, chips and salsa, and a fountain drink, all reasonably priced in my opinion. Given that many of the employees are still new, they did forget to charge me a few items, but I don’t expect that to happen in the future. Overall, a great experience and a welcome addition to the food court, rightfully replacing the old taqueria option which was bland all-around. Ambiance/Décor: N/A Food: 4⁄5 Service: 4⁄5 Price: $ Overall: 4⁄5 Pros: + Healthy alternative to the other mall options + Fresh Mexican menu with options for protein eaters, as well as vegetarians + Bowls, tacos, salads, or burritos; your choice + Reasonably priced with decent portions + Fast service Cons: — Lines can be long, especially being the newest food court eatery
