This place serves a latte like I want it: from a genuinely friendly barista, in a ceramic mug, hot and with a generous portion of frothy milk. Fina’s is in my neighborhood and it’s a simple pleasure to walk here, sit under the tree in front of the café, enjoy my latte and do a little people watching.

A cute little coffee shop to come and get some work done. If you check in, you get a free coffee which I definitely took advantage of. The barista was super friendly and made a point to make conversation with everyone that walked through the doors. Their breakfast burritos were pretty tasty and were big enough for two people to share. Bathroom is kind of a pain to get to, you have to walk behind the counter into the employee area which feels awkward, but not a big deal. Coffee was good, pretty quiet spot on Laurel, would come back.

I love coming here in the mornings before work, I always find parking across the street and there’s never long lines. The coffee and chai is great and the young gentleman working behind the counter is always super friendly and fun to talk to.

Stopped by this little café for the first time today. It’s small & cozy. The employees were extremely friendly, too! They sell coffees, mochas, lattes, teas, bagels, pastries, breakfast sausages, croissant sandwiches, etc. The prices are great!

Just OK. Stopped in for breakfast and coffee. The breakfast burrito was heated in microwave rather than made fresh which was kind of disappointing. Coffee was good. The staff were extremely friendly and the highlight of the visit. I’ll go back here for coffee again, but just not when I’m hungry too.

Horrible for breakfast. Not many options. Just toast and eggs(no veggies). Street is pretty much dead. No life. Stay away unless you don’t mind a boring lackluster Sunday breakfast.

They show me great customer service here. It gives me kind of a warm feeling inside. The breakfasts are real good too. I love me some egg and English muffin, It goes y’know. The seats are hella comfy, I like to chill here and read my paper. Sometimes I like doing a lil people watching. This place is good for that. Its pretty small, its easy to miss so be on the lookout when looking for this place. The prices are pretty decent and the guy in charge of the place is real cool too. Even the tea here is good. Its very flavorful. Yum is the word. I wish this place were open later tho.

My coffee was fresh and was better than an average coffee shop. The breakfast burrito I had was nice and filling.

I’ve been here three times now, and have dealt with two different ladies behind the counter and they both were extremely friendly and helpful. I’ve gotten the french pour over coffee each time and it’s been very good. They happily provide steamed milk upon request, which is the difference maker. My only gripe is the Wi-Fi has been intermittent lately, but they were upfront about that before I made my order which is much appreciated. Nice, tucked away local spot. For about the past year, they have this insanely friendly kid working the counter. He speaks about 10 octaves too loud but you can’t knock him for his enthusiasm.

I like going in here. Food is ok, coffee is ok, but it is like visiting a friend. I have only been twice, but want to go back more. Stop in and say hi.

I love this place. Normally I don’t wander into coffee shops but it was a hot day and I needed a cold drink. The barista made me an amazing iced tea of chamomile and a shot of mango flavoring. It was so good I decided to get another one right after, this time with peach flavoring.

Today, I had my first pour over. It was the best cup of coffee, I’ve ever had! This will be the benchmark for future pour overs. I had the French roast. The young man who served us was very nice and efficient. If I’m ever in San Carlos, I will definitely be back, even if its just to get a cup to go.

fina’s has expressos, sammies, etc.(not sure what, sign not easily readible) sammies(7.5) so passed. placed looked really small, just a few tables for sit in brew: «drip» fair traded coffee(2.5) –smooth, not so bold –overhead signage says 2, sign on counter reads«2.5» 3.5 stars drips: –leaving at 3 for lack of clarity,… –easy parking…

Ok! Updating my review. Learned that their coffee is just too strong for me, but their hot chocolate is really good! And I LOVE the lady who works there! Great customer service, and now a faster toaster :)

I remember when they started building this place. Then I totally forgot about it. Then recently having lunch downtown, we decided to get some caffeine before going back to work. Dig all the coffee related posters in the space. It’s got a comfy vibe to it. This end of Laurel is pretty vacant but I guess if you’re looking for quiet, this place is it. Got an iced coffee to go and got the appropriate jump juice to finish the rest of my work day

I work nearby and love to come get a drink here. The prices are very good for the size drinks offered. The gal running the place is always very kind and sincere. Often times you will see her beautiful family hanging out or even helping. The reviewer Molly that complained about them being out of things must not understand the business. It is really hard to compete with Starbucks and other places. In order to have the freshest selection and minimize losses these people probably only have a small amount on hand. When it sells out that’s it. I’m sure they’ll order more unless your nasty review puts them out of business. Now if they ran out of coffee that’d be another thing!!! I was at Noah’s last week and they were literally sold out of all bagels by 3pm!

Thanks to the owner’s reply about my gripe regarding weak coffee, I took his suggestion and tried the slow pour French Roast over the regular Columbian from the pot. It was definitely stronger, and I enjoyed my coffee this morning along with the regular friendliness from the guy behind the counter!

The shop is really accessible, parking is easy, and the staff is super friendly. The Barista has an obvious passion for what he does, and I learn something interesting from him about coffee every time I’m there. My favorite is the poured coffee(not to be confused with the drip!), which for some reason unbeknownst to me tastes so much better than coffee I’ve had elsewhere. I also like the calm and low key ambience of the shop, which is very different than the cattle-call vibe you get at the bigger coffee franchises down the street. I love that this business is locally owned by a young family, as it gives me warm fuzzies to stop in. It is so nice to have a place like this on the southern most side of Laurel Street, away from the hustle and bustle.
