I have always had the best experience when buying or commissioning a piece of jewelry from these wonderful people. They offer precious and semi-​precious stones done in exquisite and unique settings. Over the past 17 years I’ve done business with Gordon Aalto Designs, I have become so spoiled by their great customer service that I don’t care to go to any other jeweler.

I can’t say enough about my experience at Gordon Aatlo Designs. When my (then) girlfriend and I were exploring our new town one afternoon, we were drawn into this jewelry studio due to the one-​of-​a-​kind pieces of art in the window. Stunning contemporary rings, earrings, necklaces, etc. I mean TRULY one of a kind. Not the same pieces you see slightly different flavors of in many of the other stores.
I came back on my own to discuss a custom engagement ring. Kelly was extremely helpful. He thoroughly explained all the stone, metal, and design options until I was satisfied. I asked a LOT of questions and he was very patient with me. He gave me an estimate and ordered some stones for me to choose from. A week later, after I selected the perfect stone, he finished the ring just in time for a vacation proposal. The ring was (and is) a total show stopper. She said yes! Three weeks later, we are still getting amazing compliments on the ring. Thank you Kelly!
One word of advice I have for anyone trying to surprise their girlfriend with a proposal and ring (I’m sure Kelly will tell you the same thing): Triple check her ring size. Don’t bring just any ring you find in her jewelry box and assume it will fit. Unfortunately the three rings I brought in for sizing were 1.5 sizes too big! Kelly rescued me, though. We dropped by upon returning from vacation and he measured her ring finger for a proper fit. Better yet, he had it sized, cleaned, and ready for fit by the NEXT DAY. I must stress what a significant feat this was. The top of the ring is set with pave diamonds so altering the shape so drastically (down 1.5 sizes) required resetting some of the diamonds. I can’t believe how quickly and expertly he managed this.
His fees were very reasonable and combined with his expertise, patience, and overall demeanor will keep me coming back to Gordon Aatlo Designs for all my future custom jewelry needs.

I had a great experience at Gordon Aatlo Designs purchasing an engagement ring for my fiancée. Gordon worked with me on the design of the ring, which included a centerpiece diamond with ruby side-​stones, and three smaller diamonds on each side of the ring of white gold. Gordon also helped me hand-​select the jewels for the ring, and pointed out any imperfections in the stones so I knew what I was looking at. This helped me understand the differences in price between my possible selections, which really helped me make my ultimate decision.
I will definitely be back for future purchases, because not only did I get a great product at a more than reasonable price, but he also has great designs on many other types of pieces that he makes right there on premises. I think it might take me a little while, though, unless I get a big raise soon — that’s at least what I tell my fiancée!

I’m not sure I even know where to begin. Gordon is a Master of the Beautiful. I gave him a ring, broken gold jewelry, and some photos, what he gave me in return was simply nothing short of a master piece, one of a kind stunning engagement ring. He gave me exactly what I wanted, and what I didn’t even know I wanted.
He has an eye like none other. It’s as if he can read you. He has a quiet calm presence with the talent of a giant. After, we left our first meeting with Gordon; I knew I was in for something amazing. I asked for a ring that was timeless, something you could see on both the delicate Audrey Hepburn and sassy Katharine Hepburn, and that is exactly what I got and more.
Gordon’s work doesn’t stop with the vintage. His contemporary work is jaw dropping. I’ve never before seen that level of workmanship or quality of stones such as his. His jewelry… art pieces if you will, flow like water. Utterly amazing.
Gordon is himself a Gem. A Master of the Beautiful. A Gift to his trade. If you have the desire for a one of a kind piece, Gordon is who you’ve been looking for. I will never go elsewhere.
