This park is huge! I had no idea it was here for the longest time and I didn’t even know there was a second playground for the little ones until reading the other reviews. Lots of soccer fields, a volleyball court, tennis courts, and I’m sure more that I didn’t see since today was my first time. The large playground is where we hung out, and I honestly would have stayed and played all day if I didn’t have to get the kiddo back home for a nap!

This is a great park. It is just above the elementary and middle school. PARKING: It has plenty of parking throughout the park. You can park closer to the fields or closer to the playground. PLAYGROUND: This is a great playground, my daughter loves it. There are a lot of swings(toddler and kid swings + 1 handicap swing). The swing area, plus a few toys, are located on the padded rubber ground. The rest of the playground is sand. There are so many great playground toys here, it is by far the best park I’ve seen. It is the park with the most ;). I like to play here myself haha. FACILITIES: There is a bathroom and water fountain located right by the playground. FIELDS: I’ve spent a little bit of time on the fields playing soccer with a friend. I have not gone there for a soccer game or any other sports. However, the fields are great! Nice, big, and landscaped/mowed regularly. There are multiple fields located at this park.

This park is really large and has three different levels that can be accessed from two different entrances. If you use the entrance located at 1291 Sarmentoso you need to park in the lot for Truman Benedict Elementary School and Bernice Ayer Middle School. At the lower level you will find a small playground for young children, some small round tables, bathroom facilities, a baseball/softball field(fenced) with bleachers, and some open grassy areas. From here you can access stairs that take you up to the walking/jogging/running track(dirt) that surrounds another a soccer field. You can walk onto the blacktop area of the school and access a ramp/stairs that will take you to the highest level where most the remaining amenities are located. However, if you’re going to take advantage of the very large soccer fields or grassy areas on the top level, the picnic areas, grills, tables, benches, the large children’s play area or the grassy volley ball court, your best bet is to enter the park from Camino Vera Cruz where there is ample parking(at least three separate areas are set aside for parking at the top level). This park is very well maintained and clean. The grass is easy to walk on and City crews can be seen regularly performing maintenance. There are drinking fountains and restrooms on both the upper and lower levels(no doors on the stalls for the women … they’re pretty much like restrooms at the beach). As far as parks go this one pretty much has everything you’re looking for — even a view(of the mountains).
