Great, cheap, quick Mexican food to compliment a good beach day. Tip: If you like the fish tacos, but prefer a flour tortilla, order the fish burrito.

I don’t understand why the reviews are so negative, the cashier even warned me about the iced tea tasting a bit funny but the Trestles Burrito is really good if you’re looking for a Seafood burrito. I don’t make it down here often but I’ll stop by Pedro’s again when I head down to San Diego.

Their prices went way up I used to love going there because it was cheap and quick but not I’d rather go to a Mexican restaurant if I am going to pay as much as them.

4.5 stars for food. The only reason it’s not 5 is because after the first bite of all three of my taquitos, the meat would pull out and then I would be eating fried tortilla. But it was bomb. Overall 3 stars because the girl working is rude. What food place doesn’t let you substitute a cheaper item in place of the more expensive one? We ordered a burrito that came with guac, but wanted sour cream instead of guac. She would not let us replace the guac for sour cream, she charged extra for sour cream on top of us paying full price for the burrito? That literally makes no sense. The more I think about it the more I want to give lower than 3 stars, but I won’t change it just because they have one terrible employee. But seriously, how do people like that stay hired?

Food is mediocre but the service sucks!!! The last 3 times I went the guy(the bigger guy and the younger guy) behind the counter was rude, short 1 syllable word-like grunts, and could care less about my business, complete A-hole. Also, no bacon or sausage for breakfast burrito, WTF? Chorizo is great but some of us want more. I will never go back again. 10 years ago this place was the shit. Currently it’s just shit. (This review is for Pedro’s south only. But I’m not going to either and neither should you.)

I wish I read the reviews before we came. We thought we would try their world famous tacos(that is what the sign said). We are not sure what the tacos are famous for, but it is not for the taste or quality. The fish taco had very little fish. The tiny fish stick was covered in lots of cabbage. How did they cut the white fish into such a small sliver?(Fish tacos at Rubios have so much more fish to offer in their fish taco). The chicken taco had a decent portion of meat, but was nothing to write home about. The teeny tiny bag of chips(about ¼ the size of a big bag of chips you could buy at the grocery store) will set you back 1.79, and yes they will charge for fresh salsa for an additional 79 cents. No free refills on drinks. Taco sauce is free in small packets, Overall experience… lame.

Chicken and carne asada quality is poor with no flavor. Their tacos are soggy and fall apart. They don’t give you salsa. The drive thru guy was out of it. We would have been better off at Taco Bell.

It was okay, tables were dirty, had to clean them myself; they don’t take any bills over $ 20, so be prepared. However my California Burrito was very good and the fish tacos weren’t bad.

Amazing tacos. It says it all in the name; worlds best tacos. The fish burrito is amazing, fresh fish. Also not expensive. I traveled from Los Angeles to eat here. Highly recommend.

This was just really really bad food. Even Taco Bell is much better, I don’t see how people can eat this. The quality is really sickening, potato taco a hashbrown wrapped in a stale tortilla, carbs on carbs, no flavor. The chicken dead on frozen Tyson chicken from the grocery store, burritos are tiny and the beans and rice in them gross. Fish taco a soggy fish stick, everything just beyond cheap and no thought put in to their food whatsoever. Two kinds of sauce but out of a packet and both were horrible as well. There was really not one edible item out of all the things we ordered and would up tossing every single thing after one bite.

This place was REALLY disappointing. Seriously jacked up our day because of how disappointed we were. We were so excited to try this place out. And it did not meet the hype. First off this place is a small, ghetto location. There was barely any places to sit, and the seating was hard A$$ benches. I’ve seen another location that looked nicer on the outside. But this one was dirty and unkept. You walk up to the window and order your food and then they call you when it’s ready. The fish tacos were the only decent tasting thing we ordered. The cheese quesadilla was a JOKE. What a freakin rip off man. Dinky quesadilla for wayyyyy too much. The rice and beans tasted stale. Like they were cooked yesterday and served the next day. The California burrito was like $ 10 and it was TINY. Literally the smallest California burrito I’ve ever seen in my life. Ridiculous. The size of the burrito was the length of two hot sauce packets. I’ll post the pic for comparison. This place was just soooo disappointing. And we spent close to $ 50 for crap food, and had to eat it on a hard, uncomfortable bench with what looked to be homeless people hanging around. Not my kind of place. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Good food. Stupid policies. I ordered a burrito. ITCOMES with salsa and guacamole. I asked to have it ONTHESIDE. I was told I had to PAYEXTRA for it as an add on item. Sooo another $ 2.50 — for something I already paid for. I pushed back, trying to explain how absurd that is. The rude attended cut me off. Put her hands in the air and said«Owners policy». Well owner just lost a potential frequent customer. Will not come back.

Pedros is amazing and so cheap! Their bean and chz burritos are $ 1.99 and they use homemade tortillas! Their fish tacos are also great! We like going to the pedros with outdoor seating as the other is just a drive through– no seating! My only grip is that they give you salsa(Heinz) from the packets so the salsa on the side tastes more like ketchup Than salsa. It would be nice if they at least gave you Chiloula packets which would look and taste more authentic!

On vacation in the area, I was driving by(at approximately 1pm) and saw a line of cars. I was a little hungry so figured I’d go check it out and see why they’re so popular. So, the business name is Pedro’s Tacos and the sign says«World’s best since 1986» so I was going to try a couple of different tacos. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do that because they were… wait for it… OUTOFTORTILLAS for the tacos. Someone explain to me how a taco business stays in business when they run out of a primary ingredient by 1pm. Anyway, I opted for an order of «rolled tacos»(aka«taquitos»(obviously rolled before they ran out of corn tortillas) and a fish burrito. The cheese & guacamole rolled tacos were good but for a drive thru item I kind of thought the cheese would be rolled INSIDE and the guacamole would be in a separate container. Instead, the cheese & guac were on top and just wrapped in o as paper & foil. Kind of messy. The fish burrito was good but definitely needed the hot sauce I added for some kick.

Little hidden gem right off the 5 freeway. I was shocked by their inexpensive prices on the menu! My Carne Asada Burrito only rang up to $ 5.99, which is unusually cheap compared to my $ 8 burritos in Orange County. Not only was it cheap, but it was pretty good! There was a good amount of meat in it unlike other places that just fill their burritos with beans & rice. I made a mistake by not ordering the combo though(which would have came with beans and rice). I would have been super content if I ordered that. Also, I just found out that there was a California burrito… Noooo I would have ordered that in a heartbeat. Put that on the menu! :) Just a tip: no restrooms here and there’s only outdoor seating available!

Not very good chicken tacos. Kinda pricey… Staff was not that pleasant and they charged me 25 for a cup of water. It’s a petty amount but it just added to the whole experience. Should have listened to the Unilocal reviews and not sponsored this place.

You gotta try their fish taco. Their fish taco is what it’s all about! That’s what put them on the map way back in 1986 in my opinion even though they also make a mean California burrito now. Location and Ambiance(Rating 2) There’s two locations here in San Clemente. Both are convenient to get to. Both are extremely small and neither have indoor seating. The tables that do exist are rarely clean but nobody seems to care. It’s all about grabbing a yummy taco! The fish taco(Rating 5) Battered cod, cabbage, salsa & dressing So the secret here? There is none! They just use a ton of fish, a balanced amount of cabbage and salsa and put a mayo based dressing on there that makes it SUPERYUMMY. There’s no way this thing is good for you with the sauce, but your taste buds won’t complain. It takes two of these to call it lunch in my opinion, otherwise it’s just an appetizer! California Burrito(Rating 4) This thing still doesn’t show up on their online menu, but take my word for it, they have it. Give it a try, espcially if you like guac. They do a great job on it and it’s filling.

«World’s Best Tacos Since 1984»? Um, no. But you’ll get a nice-sized, inexpensive, hot meal that’ll satisfy enough so that any stoked surfer* feeling overly-thankful for the post-surf grind might shout«Best tacos in the world!» But the surf wasn’t THAT good today. We got our orders quick and hot and meh. Not impressed. I think my chicken fajita burrito even took me one step closer to vegetarian. We’ll see. But I hope the surf improves a lot. At least my attitude will improve. *or any soon-to-be-deployed Marine
