Skylights Orange County, With Pride

Joe and his team were more than just exceptional. From our very first conversation on the phone, Joe’s knowledge and expertise are top notch. Amazing attention to detail and quality of work. I called for an estimate and was impressed that Joe came out the same day to look at my job. His quote was competitive and pricing was fair. His team was unobtrusive, entering the home through the back, careful not to bother us or our pets. The end result is rather impressive. He opened up my whole living room and we love the new natural light. I highly recommend Joe and Skylight OC.

Recently, on a Friday, I called Joe, the owner, to meet up at the house to review the sky light that needed replacement for the following week. As Joe stated he had a job in Newport Beach and would call on the following Monday to advise when he can come over to review the job, sign the contract and take the deposit for the work. The scheduled call was for the next Monday as agreed. Monday morning comes and no calls. I called mid morning and Joe said he has no appointments on that day… What?!! On the phone, he stated he was going to call me the following Monday… really?!! The appointment was already agreed upon and the only thing he was to do on the call was to confirm the time when he can come to the house and it would be good to go.
The price he quoted for replacement of a 3×3 skylight was:
Labor — $ 550.00
Parts — $ 250.00 — $ 300.00
Anyone who does not take appointments seriously and to treat their customers this way should be avoided at all costs no matter how great the reviews are. You can’t agree to an appointment for a call and pretend later that nothing was ever set in the books. Oh, he also said he is too busy to be doing this kind of work…
Apparently Joe, the owner, is also listed under Orange County
, Stride Roofing 949−751−7159 and Skylights Unlimited 714−962−7984. So be forewarned, this guy is affiliated with all these businesses. Out of all these businesses, only Stride Roofing is listed in the California State Contractor’s License Board as having a valid contractor’s license that expires on 06/​30/​2015.
It never hurts to do a thorough search in the State Licensing Board web site for any contractor using their names as well as license numbers.
Bottom line — Skylights Orange County and all these businesses should be avoided as this individual is not trustworthy.
