I work right down the street from this 7 – 11 and go to there multiple times a week because of that. I don’t normally have any issues really, I am in and out, but as of earlier this morning, I will not be going back. A few weeks ago I received a coupon in the mail from Mark Ten Products offering me a free device(Electronic Cigarette) and cartridge pack. I am not a huge coupon person so I already feel funny walking in somewhere and handing them a coupon, but it was something I wanted to try out and it was free so I did. I brought the coupon to the 7 – 11 a couple weeks ago. Handed it to the cashier, he scanned it, then turned around to get the device and cartridge and realized he didn’t have the device part of it. He tried giving me just the cartridge and I said no that won’t work because I dont have a device to use it with. If I give you the coupon and all you give me is the cartridge, then I am missing out of the free device. That IS what the coupon is… a free DEVICEAND Cartridge. He tells me they don’t have it, voided the purchase and handed me the voided receipt. I asked if the coupon would still work since it was scanned? He said yes so I left. I tried to use the coupon again at a store close to my house a couple days later. They had both the device and the cartridge, BUT when they scanned my coupon it didn’t credit the item like it was suppose to. So I am standing at the counter and they tell me it won’t work. Since I had the voided receipt from the 7 – 11 I pulled it out and showed them thinking it would make a different. It didn’t. Again, since I am not a coupon person I already feel a little stupid using one, now my coupon is denied… I show something else and that is denied… not a great feeling. I almost want to buy the damn device and cartridge, but the only reason I was willing to try it was because it was free. Anyway, I go back to the 7 – 11 a couple more days later. I hand them the coupon again, I explain what has happened and that I haven’t been able to use it anywhere else. The guy says okay. I ask if they got the device in yet… they have not… He tells me to come back Friday. Fast forward to this morning… I go in. I hand the coupon to the lady because I see they have the device in. I look at her knowingly because i come in there so much and have discussed this situation with her there before. I think she knows who I am… She gets the device and cartridge and rings it at the register and tries to charge me for it… UUGGHH!!! I just handed her the coupon, she has it in her hand… yet she is not reading it or even concerned with why she is holding it. I tell her. «The coupon says I get a free device and cartridge, don’t you remember me coming in before and speaking with you and your co-worker about this coupon not working here anymore because the guy here already scanned it?» She looks me up and down like I am some theif or something. Mind you there are now a couple customers lined up behind me and I am talking about why my coupon isn’t working. After some back and forth she finally shakes her head yes and does something in the register… Then asks me to pay like $ 37. I said«THECOUPONISFREE» I shouldn’t pay anything. She literally credited me 7.99… why 7.99… That was not the price of the cartiridge or the device. Where the hell did that number come from. She put her hands in the air and said its not working… That was the end for me. Obviously it is not working. I have been telling you this on a few different occasions lady. I told her nevermind and walked away, I left the device, the cartridge, the coupon, the voided receipt and the 39 cents change from the pack of cigarettes I bought when I first walked in. DONE! I am not a hard person to please, i don’t judge, but I also don’t like to look like an idiot or be treated like a criminal trying to get over on someone and that is exactly how the lady made me feel today so in the future I will spend my money elsewhere.

They serve old, hard as a brick pizza and they don’t care. Shame on you. Throw it away if it’s no good!

I live close by and it’s very convenient. Usually a nice staff but one individual is stingy as hell with quarters. They have tons of rolls of them visible from the front counter but he refuses to give them as cash back. Everyone is cool and has no problem with it, but you sir are a dick. I will not buy anything if you are behind the counter.

They have a captive audience because our place of employment is only one block away. This place isn’t terrible, it’s just not managed as well as the one up the street on University and 5th Avenue. The«local» color from the canyon off of Spruce hang out there and drink in the parking lot at times and hustle patrons for money. The surrounding area is dirty and there never seems to be enough cashiers on duty. Some of the employees here are very, very nice so it has that going for it but that is about the nicest thing I can say about this place. Skip it unless you are desperate and go to the one on University and Fifth down the street.

I come in here most of the time when I visit the inn and it’s always hit or miss how many homeless people you might run into. The workers are great with good attitudes, that’s why they get the 4 stars, that and the convenience — cause what’s a convenient store for?

I live right by this 7 – 11 but really don’t like going there. Every time I need to pop in for something quick I always get bugged by lots of homeless people. They congregate around here. I perhaps look like I’m in possession of lots of spare change, it’s a bit annoying. The store itself is like most other 7 – 11’s. Not amazing products, not amazing prices, but that’s what you get for being ‘convenient’. One really cool thing that I loved about this store was one of the clerks from Pakistan spoke some Mandarin. One time I came in with my father in law who speaks zero English and they were able to chat it up. Really awesome! 5 star clerk!

Nice, clean store, well organized with an efficient staff. But homeless in the parking lot who hit me up for money. Its a real shame, because it’s not good for business. I get the tuna sandwich there often & they are always fresh! Yum! Staff is incredibly efficient without being pushy.

It’s been a while since I came to this 7 – 11. I decided to drop in once again to see if anything has changed since my last review and thankfully, it has. My biggest complaint before was the customer service, which has made a good turn around since my last visit. Considering it’s the same group of employees I saw last time, I must say I am impressed with the turn around. The store itself is maintained very well but I still find that 7 – 11’s food quality is not as good as some of its local competitors that offer healthier options for the same price. Overall, my attitude towards this location has turned around for the better, if you are in the area and need to pick up something quick, then I would say this 7 – 11 is a good place to stop by.

My low rating is for one very important reason. I realize that their prices are already high, even by convenience store standards, but I have found this location to be at best selective about honoring their posted prices. Yesterday I refilled a Slurpee cup, with the posted prices being .99 or $ 1.19, depending in the size. The cashiers and manager insist that the refill price is $ 1.50, even though one of their cashiers gave me the right price last week, and other locations have charged the right price. Yesterday they charged .99 to me, but it was obvious they were only doing it to pacify me, and that they really didn’t care if they were screwing me over. I will be writing to corporate to see what they have to say about this, but the likelihood is that I won’t be going back to this store, even though that means going out of my away a little bit. We’ll see…

7-Eleven is something I grew up with. I wouldn’t consider it a «classy establishment» but I wouldn’t stop swinging by for a Slurpee. However, during the 7-Eleven birthday week an incident has changed my mind. I had already downloaded and registered the app for 7-Eleven and was looking forward to grabbing a FREE Big Gulp. I walk in and patiently wait in line to confirm with the cashier which size Big Gulp was being offered for free. She said she didn’t know and shrugged. Okay… I proceed to show her my savings barcode which she scans and says«it doesn’t work, okayyyyy?» At this point I don’t understand why the attitude is ever present but give her the benefit of the doubt(we all have bad days), and ask for the manager.
I was wrong when I thought that the customer service from the cashier was as bad as it could get! The manager was mopping a spilled drink and didn’t look up at me once as I was explaining the situation and asked her for her advice on how to proceed. It until I showed her the app and she held my phone to see it better that she finally made eye contact and replied«Sorry, barcode doesn’t work, not free.» You are telling me that a manager can’t do jack on FREEBIGGULPDAY? I tell her that I redeemed the mobile coupon as cited and was confused and I received an exasperated look and a drawn out«not freeeeeee» as if I was a moocher ruining her day. I don’t understand how asking two employees for help(all this within a 3 min time span, not like I was nagging for hours on end) was so highly irritating. I walked out and as about to leave but a male employee who had just arrived for work was standing by the drink station. I figured I might as well ask one more employee on my out. He was the ONLYNICE, ANDCUSTOMERSERVICEORIENTATEDEMPLOYEE! I wish I had gotten his name, since he should be recognized. He took his time to look at the app and when I explained to him all that had occurred he told me to simply grab a Big Gulp since it was FREE Big Gulp day. Unlike his coworkers, he realized that it was not as if i was asking for some grandiose favor. He made my day, definitely the saving grace of this location. Without this staff member, this 7-Eleven location would have lost a customer. Who would have thought a free promotion would have caused the employees to work up a sweat?!

Stopped by to get a snack from here but no. I felt like my life was in danger. Everyone in here smelled like weed.(maybe its cause today is earth day) anyways, i know I should not judge others before speaking with them. But ppl here looked so shady. There was a man who was walking way too close to us, a man who covered his whole face with his sweater and just random ppl in the parking lot standing by the wall. Everything was too scary in here. We went to a different location after here.

REDBOX!!! Thats why its here. The area is nice and well lit. Some vagrants at times, but hey the recession did this, give them a dollar and a drink why don’t cha! Show some love to our homeless friends! Full 24 hour service even on holidays. No gas pumps though. For a walking neighborhood, Its a winner!

Nothing really significant to report about this 7 – 11. They are convenient and close by, and work when I don’t’ have time to run to a full store for a couple of items I want.

This is just up the street from me and an easy walk. The service is mixed. I had a craving for Yellowtail and the Market Place was already out. 7-Eleven had one 6-pack left, but it had 1 bottle missing. I wanted to buy it anyway, cause I didn’t want to drive to Hillcrest to get it. They wouldn’t sell it to me and were very rude and mean about it. That left a bad, sober taste in my mouth. Other experiences have been fine. This location is hit or miss. I’ll continue to go here since it is convenient and that’s what a convenience store is meant for. I still prefer the Market Place.
