Update: We moved out to relocate to SF Bay Area for work. We gave notice end of March for an end of June move out. We left the place spotless(as opposed to the condition they rented it to us in: roach & flea infestation, dog shit on the basement floor, filthy kitchen, yard a mess) and have done tons of improvements and kept the place very well. Always paid on time. So why does Asset Mgmt have to jerk us around and not return our Security Deposit in the 21 days as required by law? This rental experience has been a nightmare from the beginning. Asset will now not return my calls or texts, but sends rude harsh emails instead. Poor communication. I’m sending a demand letter Monday and then next step will be small claims court. I urge potential renters to ask for tenant references and to read Unilocal reviews for the good and bad about any property mgmt company they will rent from.

DONOTHIREBILLMORANAS A REALTOR, unless you like your agent unresponsive and uninformed. I was stuck with him through the full process, and would have fired him if I’d had the authority. He was too busy with his ‘other’ projects(or so it seemed?) to return a call in a timely manner, and if I dared to ask a question he didn’t want to answer, he just didn’t return that call at all. Awful experience. Steer clear… there is another filtered review for him that confirms my experience.

They managed an apartment complex for me and my family. We were total novices at being landlords. Bill and his team made our lives easier. Just a few of the things they did for us: Property Inspection — showed us potential problems, things to be fixed before renting, things that could wait. That saved us money, for sure. Tenant Screening — if you’ve ever done this yourself, it is a HASSLE. They did everything and then told us why they thought someone would be a good tenant. Lawsuit Avoidance — We had mold in two units that were occupied. Through Bill’s guidance, we were able to keep the tenants happy and get the problem fixed quickly and for a good price. Again, we had no experience here so it was a blessing to have Bill on the job. Communications among tenants, neighbors, owners of the building. All kinds of things come up from noise to trash to thefts and security. They handled it all! Bill is an expert negotiator, keeping everyone happy in what could be a tense situation. Filled Vacancies Fast I recommend Asset Management and Investments for property management because they anticipate problems, are proactive, professional and service oriented.
