Aztec Corner

This place is disgusting! They claim to clean everything before you move in but that’s a lie! Carpets are disgusting and FULL of hair I could make a wig (NO exaggeration) when you say it’s an emergency they don’t take you serious! Management is so RUDE! To the point that they fight with parents (have some respect)! I wouldn’t live here if I got payed! Only reason I enjoyed living here was cause I went through it with my great roommates. But AVOID this place! I know it’s close but don’t put yourself through it! Everything’s cheap and breaks it !

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Management is worthless so don’t even bother going to them for help. None of them know what they’re doing and the head manager is always on «conference calls.» It takes days for a simple service request to be taken care of.
I had a roommate from hell and management was no help at all. They knew about the unwanted freeloader in my apartment yet they did not get off their ass to do something about it. The only thing they care about is if you give them a check for overpriced rent every month. Rent is way too much for the shitty quality of these apartments. Stay far away from Aztec Corner and take your money somewhere else.

Front office and accountability… You are doing management a disservice. Your attitude is so sad. Always nasty and defensive. It’s as if your staff could never ever make a mistake. You’re very pathetic.
The staff is a joke. The service is awful. Repairs are usually just a patch job. Blinds are cheap. AC rarely cools. Hallways are filled with trash. Plus… all the lies from the office. Nothing but lies.
So listen up… you do not want to live here. It’s a ripoff. Parking lot isn’t safe. The rent is too high. Go somewhere else. Run like hell from here. Location is NOT everything.
Do not consign a lease here. They will rip you off. They will disrespect you. They will treat you like crap. The place is unsafe and I’m so happy I’m not there anymore.
Aztec corner. Worst building ever!!!

I wish I could not give any stars at all. I don’t even know where to begin. I lived here last year and it was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had. When we got there the apartment was never cleaned from the last people so there was trash everywhere. There were big gashes out of the paint on the walls and a bunch of our blinds were missing. I had to personally go around to all of the cabinets and doors and WD-​40 them because they either would not open, or would squeak SO loud to the point where we would be waking each other up in the morning. We had knobs breaking off of the cabinets, our oven cooked at like hyper speed, and our dishwasher sounded like we had a garbage truck in our apartment every time we ran it.
The place is so out dated in my building but I noticed that the one in the leasing office is all updated and new so that doesn’t seem fair. We were also SUPER clean and rarely had any kind of mess in our apartment but we had these little moth type things flying around all of the time. So disgusting. They also turned off our water very unexpectedly, very often. We would go to take showers before leaving for important things and all of the sudden the water didn’t work? Super inconvenient to have to leave to a friends house to shower when you’re already crunching for time. Also, we had to poor stuff that we went out and bought down our drains in our sink and tub constantly because they smelt like something died in them. When we called the maintenance people about it, the guy got there and asked if we had anything he could use…
Although I could go on forever, here’s my last complaint. SECURITY DEPOSIT: My roommate and I charged for «dresser repair» and missing blinds in our bedroom and the living room. I have no idea what they could’ve done to either of our dressers because we literally left the place spotless and both of our dressers worked fine but it was $ 40 each. As I mentioned from move in, we got there with the blinds missing! They never replaced them from the people before us so how are we the ones having to pay for it?!
I came home on the weekends to do my laundry because it’s so ridiculously structured there and even just being at aztec corner 4 days out of my week was miserable.
DON’T LET THE DECENT LOOKING MODEL FOOL YOU, IT’S NOTHING LIKE THAT!!! Take that $ 800 you’re spending to SHARE a room and live somewhere you actually get things for your money and just walk the extra mile… it’s not worth it!

If I could give them zero stars I would. This is the absolute worst place to live. No customer service, crappy furniture, everything’s broken, they claim they clean before every year but when we moved in there was BUNNY SHIT all over the place. Not chill, the gate was broken for an entire semester, the fire alarm goes off every time you open the oven, the blinds break if you touch them. THIS PLACE FUCKING BLOWS

Get the hell out of there!!! Go to Albert’s Apartments. To this day I check all apartments before moving in for roaches. My first day of move in I grabbed my keys and checked my room was empty but had trash on the floor. I brushed it off and left for the moving truck. Later that night I returned and saw what appeared to be things moving on the wall. I turned on the lights to see roaches on the counters, walls and sofa it was disgusting. Management used their company all he did was use roach bait and said call again after ten days he will come back out if the problem has not resolved. 10 days?
After day five of complaining and taking pictures they finally let me use Terminix. Turns out roaches laid eggs throughout the apartment carpet and got in through a hole in the wall behind the stove. Fun Fact: Each roach sack on average holds 50 eggs, and we had at least 20 eggs in our apartment. (I learned that from the exterminator.)
The exterminator told us since the apartment was heavily infested our apartment would be more at risk for infestations. Over the ordeal I requested I was relocated to another apartment unit. I was assigned to live with three other ladies. Two of them were awesome but our other roommate not so much. I wish their was some type of screening process because she was a night mare.
During her birthday our room was broken into while we were asleep, our door was locked, but Aztec corner uses cheap door material for the bedrooms so our door broke that same day. Since it occurred in the evening maintenance was not available. We called police in the morning and she was questioned she said she didn’t know his name and had fallen asleep so she didn’t see what happened. We lost 2 computers, an iPod, pepper spray, an iPhone, and all of our DVDs. Management said since she was not directly involved they could not do anything. They replaced our door, but would not give us a key for our door, so I had my friend install a new door knob.
Eventually the roommate stopped paying rent and was not evicted until June. Our lease was over in August… It was a year lease… I was told if I moved out I would be breaking my lease and they were «making progress on evicting her.» Are you kidding me!!! The icing on the cake was the same guy who grabbed her bags to help her leave my roommate said it was the same guy who robbed us. :/​
I eventually stopped sleeping their and was not compensated for anything even though I made complaints and spoke to their directors. So as a warning find a place that is professional, has sturdy equipment and a company that will care of their residents. This was years ago but why live in a place who does business like this?

Very overpriced for what you’re getting. We called for information about finding someone to sublet the lease, and they said that we just needed to sign some papers. Then all of a sudden, we call them when we found someone, and they mention there’s a $ 200 fee. Basically, you never know if they’re telling you everything. Not reliable, overpriced. The Diplomat is a way better bang for your buck and it’s barely a mile form campus. I live there now and it is a dream. Don’t waste your money here.

This place is a horrible place to live. It is only a knick better than living in the dorms. Apartment management is a joke, they scam you. They are con artists, they know what they are doing and they will take your money. Be warned, it is bearable with good roommates however.
Expect constant water shutoffs amongst other issues!

I would have to say there are better places to live that is worth your money.
The only reason I say this is because the apartments aren’t worth what they are asking for. Here is a list of things that need a lot of work:
1. They are always shutting the water off in our building because the pipes are always bursting. It’s really inconvenient when you have to go to the gym to take a shower, and that’s IF you have a membership. If you don’t you aren’t taking a shower that day.
2. There are these disgusting fruit flys that are ALWAYS in the apartment, ESPECIALLY during the summer, and it doesn’t matter how clean you keep your place… They still come. I used bleach… Everything… Nothing would get rid of them and the leasing office doesn’t do anything about the infestation of fruit flys.
3. After they re-​painted the apartment complex it felt like we were living in a dark red dungeon. This is because the white walls were replaced with this clay red color and that is where the light reflects off the wall and into our apartment. So after that the color would give me a headache and then I started to really dislike being at home. The color that reflects into our apartments made it so depressing to be in.
4a. Our elevator is, and currently is, ALWAYS broken. It always takes the office a week or even longer to get someone to fix it. This is even worse when you have suit cases and have to go up 4 flights of stairs… Not fun. It also made moving out of the apartment really difficult.
4b. ALSO it’s even more annoying that the building that has the leasing office has a better and more updated elevator that works all the time.
5. The security doesn’t do much about parties that go on during the weekdays, and on weekends parties go on till ridiculous hours of the night. It was really annoying when I had to go to work every morning at 8AM.
6. Another REALLY annoying thing is the laundry. If you want to re-​fill your money laundry card you have to make sure that you do it when the leasing office is open. If you forget you’ll have to wait the next day. Why is this? Well it’s because they only have ONE, yes ONE, money card re-​fill station. Suggestion: get one in each building complex.
7. Also since they changed there internet package with COX the internet is sooooooooo SLOOOOOOOW. Good luck getting any internet during the school year.
8. The gates to get into the complex are either broken so you can’t get in or don’t close all the way, so people who don’t belong in the apartment complex can get in. Not very secure or safe for parents who think there children have security.
There is a lot more but I don’t have time to sit here all day and list every single thing, but these are the main concerns.
But at least you get a feel for the things you might be stepping into when you sign the lease with Aztec Corner.

Absolutely worst living experience of my life. Disgusting living quarters. Constant water problems and the staff isn’t that helpful. Needs to be heavily redone and the paint job didn’t help. Sooooooo over priced. Don’t live here friendly warning.
