Shanel is a wonderful being! She’s an expert at hair extensions, hair styling, and hair coloring. This has been the best hair extensions experience I’ve ever had and I’m really grateful to have met her.
For years I never felt confident with my hair. I dyed my hair until 60% of my hair was fried and had to be cut off. I’ve had short hair for the last few years and missed being able to play with and style long hair.

Shanell is such an amazing person and hairdresser! The only person I will trust with my daughter’s hair! I had her do a Brazilian blow out on her twice and both times it turned out amazing. She made my daughter feel absolutely beautiful and special. You won’t be disappointed in her work.

I’ve been going to Shanell for about 6 – 7 years now and I would never go to anyone else! I came to her with beat up hair that thinning and damaged due to it being teased and ratted for performance gigs – and she’s gotten back to such a healthy state! Having dark dark brown hair, she’s even gotten me very light with minimal damage. Today, I have this fun smoky brown/​blonde balayage and dared to go short and I absolutely love it!

Shanell seriously is amazing with color! I had the most uneven dark brown hair color with black spots at the tips & after several hair dressers not knowing how to correct the problem, even some being too scared to touch the ends to even out the color, I found Shanell! I texted her my crisis and sent her a picture of my hair and a picture of what I wanted it to look like– a Carmel all around with a couple peek a boo low lights — and she was able to see me within that week. Long story short, she exceeded my expectations and nailed it to the t! I’ve been to over 10 hair dressers (all very high end salons too like Robert cromeans and koda) and never has one nailed it to the picture like she did! She is super nice and easy to talk to, she listens to your wants and really takes the time to understand you before she starts your color process!
She also does men’s haircuts! I have the pickiest boyfriend ever who had a decent hairstyle, but after she cut and styled it he looked like a whole new man, she did a hard part, I didn’t even know what that was prior lol but it looked amazing!
Go to Shanell and bring your man too! She’s really busy, and you need to book your touch ups with her a couple weeks in advance but she’s so worth it! Definitely the best in San Diego & affordable!

I had my first appointment with Shanell yesterday for a partial highlight and cut and she blew it out of the water. Not only was she professional, she was very personable and instantly made me feel right at home. Shanell is the best! I have had my hair done at several salons since moving to San Diego 8 years ago and I am so glad to have finally found someone who is amazing and affordable. Shanell has been cutting and coloring my hair for a little over a year now and I I love it — and I have never really loved my hair before. She does amazing color and I am always happy with the cut. She also extends great offers to her current clients, which is awesome!

Shanell is THE BEST! After moving from Miami to SD about a year ago, I went to 5 different hair salons, all who gave me the worst highlights ever. I was so unhappy with the terrible job these expensive, «ritzy» salons did on my hair (including the owner of the salon at 2 of these places), I was seriously contemplating flying back to Florida to get my hair colored before a big event. Thank goodness I found Shanell and she saved my hair! She listens to what you want, and her highlights are impeccable. Plus she’s super nice and has great prices. I am super picky about my hair and she does such a good job I will never go to anyone else and I would recommend her to anyone. PS as a bonus, she does the most AMAZING extensions ever. 5 stars all the way!!!

Amazing cut & color for such reasonable prices! What I love most about Shanell is that she actually has specials that extend to her current clients. Most hair dressers I know will only do this for new clients.
