Phyllis was kind enough to fit me in for a massage emergency. The muscles in my neck cramped up and I was unable to turn my neck, as you can imagine extreme pain. I had called a number of massage therapists (all booked up) and Phyllis was the only one to hear the distress in my voice. When I got to her office she got to work right away and after 40 minutes with her I was able to turn my head comfortably as well as drive safely. She’s so kind and I really appreciated what she did for me. I will be back!

I am a small-​muscle athlete, a musician. :) So I have chronic tension from my job. I found Phyllis through Unilocal a few weeks ago, looking for someone nearby and affordable that had good reviews.
All of the previous reviews continue to be accurate and true. I don’t have new information to offer, but felt it was important to add a more current confirmation of her awesomeness.
I especially appreciate that she takes notes after each session on what you liked and what you’d like changed for next time. I’ve never had that before and it is much easier for me to give feedback afterwards.

I have received the best healing experiences and calm relaxing moments from Phyllis at BodyRevive Welllness! Originally I went to see Phyllis for pain from an auto crash injury. After helping me greatly with that incident I continued to get bodywork for just the general aches and pains from my physical job. I often feel like I am literally floating through the massage table. The ambiance is so calming. the music is great… the entire experience is like a mini-​vacation. Phyllis is very talented and will understand and talk to you about any specific needs you may have for your massage. I HIGHLY recommend Phyllis for a wonderful customized massage — -do not deny yourself!

I have been to a few different places for massages in southern california, it was back in 2012 that my husband, then boyfriend, was searching for a great massage place for me due to my crazy sciatica pain. I’m so glad he found Phyllis and BodyRevive Wellness! I was so impressed by her knowledge and how approachable Phyllis is with her clients. She gives amazing rates, and would spend the full hr on me, sometimes more if she knows I’ve been in so much pain from my sports injuries. Phyllis takes the time to get to know me and my husband, I have not had another other masseuse work on me since we found phyllis! I’ve been going to phyllis for massages for the past two years, she’s great with booking emergency appts as well if I really needed it. We have also done couples massages, and even took a couples massage class with her, all so worth it. We love Phyllis, I see her once a month at least to keep up with my self care massage, because a girl needs some relaxation. Phyllis has helped reduce a lot of my muscle pains through the years. She so kind and such a gentle soul! I can tell she is passionate about her work, I’ve recommended her to many friends and they’ve been hooked ever since as well!
Perks: the lavender lotions, orange oils, the warm blankets, heating pads, the heat rocks, hot towels, and she offers water, tea, fresh fruits, and nuts as gifts to take with you at the end of session! How awesome is that? Again, we love Phyllis.

Phyllis is a great massage therapist and has skills that extend beyond the massage table. She took the talk to reviews my medical history related to stress and pain and talked to me about her techniques and what to expect. She made me feel very comfortable during our session, quietly inquiring about pressure and my problem areas during the massage. She was definitely sensitive to my needs and problems before, during and after the session.
In addition to her massage techniques, Phyllis used complementary tools for the overall well-​being: lavender lotion, relaxing music, heated massage table, heat pad and other tools.
Overall it was a very relaxing massage experience.
I definitely recommend Phyllis and BodyRevive Wellness to anyone who wants a really good massage with an experienced therapist.

Phyllis was running a few minutes behind due to a crash in the 163, she called me to let me know she was on her way and would be there ASAP. I appreciated the heads up and it was no big deal.
After she say me down to ask me a few questions and have me fill out some paperwork.
She set the tone for the room during this time. Relaxing music, heated massage table, heat pad, etc.
After that I changed and had one of the best massages of my life!
She uses long strokes, short strokes, hot stones, in order to give you a quality massage. She gives you your allotted time frame and asks as she’s going along how it’s feeling.
Lastly, she debriefs with you afterwards to be sure everything was to your liking.
You will not be disappointed I you get a massage from Phyllis!

I got a massage from Phyllis this afternoon and couldn’t wait to write this review because I can actually sit up right at a computer with a happy back thanks to her.
The first great part of the massage was the ease of parking. I am not sure about week days but on a Saturday I could have re-​parked my car about 50 times.
Then I met Phyllis and instantly liked her even before I discovered what an amazing masseuse she is. She is just a kind woman who is easy to talk to and immediately puts you at ease.
Then massage time. Just a few things I loved:
~The heated table
~The moist heat she begins with
~The healing touch she has
~She uses the perfect amount of pressure to get the knots out while also totally relaxing you.
~She asks you all of the right questions (but not too many) to let you know she wants to work with you to give you a massage that is a perfect fit for you. She checks in with you and ensures you are comfortable at all times.
~She uses a combination of her hands, arms and hot rocks and well it rocks.
~She pampers you with scented or unscented oils (your call), hot towels, and soothing music.
~Her prices are fantastic.
~She is generous with her time.
~The massage room is relaxing and beautiful.
~She offered me tea, water or snacks afterwards.
~My body hasn’t felt this good in months.
~She gives discounts for insurance. Which proves just how kind she is.
My massage ended just a few hours ago and I have already texted three people her website because I want everyone I love to feel this good.

I had a wonderful massage from Phyllis several months ago. Not only did she provide me with a great massage, focusing on all of the areas that I mentioned, but she has a lovely personality. I get a massage from Phyllis once a month. Being a military wife, what will I do if we move? :) I have had several massages in my life and she is the best! I used to shop around for the cheapest massage but now will ONLY go to her. Not only does she provide hot towels, essential oils, heated table and a great massage but she also sends you off with a hot tea or bottle of spring water AND a snack bag. Phyllis provides a wonderfully relaxing massage experience. She is extremely attuned to empathetic to the massage experience you want and adjusts to provide that. More or less pressure, specific problem areas, different music, conversation or silence. She is constantly making an effort to optimize your experience, and making subtle changes to accommodate.
I had several bad massage groupon experiences in a row, and this was my last try, but Phyllis went above and beyond. She constantly pushed out her deadline to accommodate the number of groupons sold (rather than just telling people the schedule was full and letting them expire, like other places have done to me). She explained everything up front, so I could help her customize my massage experience. And her care in handling every aspect from scheduling to massage to feedback sold me on returning as a regular client. I cannor recommend her highly enough!

The BEST MASSAGE in San Diego. I found Phyllis over a year ago. She is a hidden gem located in the Clairemont/​Kearny Mesa vicinity. It doesn’t matter if you are new to massage or have had massage before, you will not be disappointed. I have sent 6 people to Phyllis and everyone is ecstatic when they give her a try. Highly recommend her services — I am lucky to call Phyllis my masseuse and a good friend!

I’ve only had three massages in my life. That being said, I’m able to recognize a good masseuse when I find one. Phyllis falls smack dab in the middle of that category.
I don’t have any cerebral this or herniated that, so getting a massage for me is pretty much as simple as a massage can be. What sets Phyllis apart is that she actually cares about you. She has you fill out a form so you can describe what is bothering you (or isn’t), and then she sits down and goes over it before she starts the massage. She asks you what pressure you like during the massage, and then actually gives you that pressure. And the best part, she sat down with me after the massage and asked me about my life. Now some may not want to chit-​chat with their masseuse (hell some don’t like to chit-​chat with their significant other, not me of course, I LOVE chit-​chatting with my gf). And I’m sure if you don’t want to talk to her, you can go and just get a nice massage. But if you do feel like talking, it can be very therapeutic to just tell someone else.

Phyllis is a great masseuse, very professional and she really knows her stuff. I first met Phyllis as my masseuse at a high end La Jolla sports club where I paid over $ 100 for a 50-​minute massage. Discovering Phyllis only works there part time I did a little investigative work (a la Google) and found she has her own practice. Woo hoo! I’m so glad I found her, and my wallet thanks her for her affordable pricing! She even offers a discount if you have insurance.
I’ve had massages at all kinds of places, from small studios to high-​end resort spas, and sometimes I don’t know what I really paid for. Phyllis is definitely one of the best (if not the best) masseuse I’ve ever had! On top of that, she offers massage at very reasonable prices ($ 65 an hour). Right now, she is even offering a deal so you get 5 massages for the price of 4!
One of the things I really like is that Phyllis always gives you a full hour (or more!) — your time starts when you’re on the table. She gives you the 4-​star resort treatment using aromatherapy oils, massage lotion, warm towels and the like. She’ll even heat the massage table which I appreciate. You’ll feel like you’re on vacation! She also offers you tea or water and organic fruit after the massage and asks for feedback or constructive criticism. Who does that these days? While her massages are a deal you definitely don’t get jipped on the service!
Body Revive is located just off the 805 freeway and Clairemont Mesa Blvd (behind Kaiser Permanente) in some old, need to be spruced up office building but don’t let the exterior appearance fool you. Her office itself is nice. The massage room is spacious, nicely decorated and very serene. When I just want a good massage and don’t need the extra amenities that you pay for at a resort spa, Body Revive Wellness is perfect! You can afford to treat yourself to a quality massage more often at these prices.
