Had many a good night at Brewleys! Why Brewleys out of all the bars on Garnet? Well… –It’s not pretentious or crowded –They have shuffle board! –Free popcorn –Bartenders/bouncers are super friendly They also only serve beer. Which in my opinion, means you can chill with your friends, kick back a few drinks and have a good time! Definitely a spot to start your night at OR a location for a chill fun night out.

This place is cool. Staff is attentive and friendly, but because Unilocal put this place on their St Patty’s day newsletter I felt it was only fair to warn y’all THEYDONOTSERVEGUINNESS here. I was there last week, and I learned they recently switched over to Bass Stout. I’m sure it’s ok, but I mean c’mon now, you’re gonna switch over a St Patty’s Day staple right before the big day??? Fail

I enjoyed this place very much; two thumbs up! –It isn’t usually crowded like most bars on Garnet. –They have good specials on beers. –The staff didn’t act like it was annoying or inconvenient to change the channel so we could watch our basketball game. –The Bartender gal(can’t remember her name… I think it starts with a K?) was super nice and gave this obnoxious & sloppy drunk guy attitude, which is awesome. –We went on Trivia night which was AWESOME. I lervvv Trivia, and Sunset Trivia does it right. Oh yeah and they have an old-school popcorn machine too, holla!

I came through this place on an Amazon restaurant deal called the Heart of PB Restaurant Walk which showcased 16 different restaurants. Honestly, I didn’t spend too much time at this place since there were 15 other joints that I had to hit up, but I can say that Brewley’s Pint offers an interesting vibe. Felt like a lawyer’s office type bar with its dark wood décor. I got a taster of the beer they decided to serve for the Restaurant Walk which wasn’t that great. Too hoppy and too smoky for my taste but I’m sure others loved it. I wouldn’t mind bringing some friends just to chill here on a weeknight. They also have a pool table and plenty of tv’s for your game-watching needs.

So I came back, and while I am personally not the biggest fan, I can totally see why others would love this place. Here’s why: –Laid back vibe with very friendly staff –Games, Games, Games –shuffle board(still don’t understand the hype around this…) and a basketball hoop –Not too crowded, so you can actually hold a conversations –Just beer(which to me, is never a good thing…) This was my attempt to be completely unbiased in my review and set aside PERSONAL attitude towards places like this and judge it for what it is: A pub. So if you are looking to add a stop on your PB pub crawl, check out Brewley’s Pint :)

Just went here for the first time last Friday. It was packed! When I say packed, I mean there were a lot of people but still room to move around and get from the bar to your table. It was a great place to mingle with friends or maybe make some new ones(as we proceeded to do that night). As mentioned, no liquor… no big deal because they have an amazing selection of beer, local and non-local. Shuffleboard is always a good time plus a pool table. Not too big of a place but not too small either. All the other times I’ve walked past this place it’s been empty. Which isn’t so bad because sometimes you just want a quieter place to have a beer rather than loud music and tons of people. So I guess their big night is Friday night! Plan accordingly for what kind of mood you’re in!

No liquor because there’s a limit to amount of liquor licenses allowed in the area. Still, I like it. The place is clean and had always been empty when I started going. It’s seemingly more popular, though. It’s a great place to stop by while bar hopping, and I like that they have shuffleboard! I haven’t been able to find too many places with shuffleboard since I’ve moved up to San Francisco, so … appreciate it while it’s still there!

My favorite bar in PB, and when I was in PB a lot more often, my watering hole. Keep in mind that my favorite bar is the type of bar where I can just show up anytime to have a drink without having to dress up so nice. It’s a small Irish bar right on Garnet. There’s a big window where you can people watch should you not care to watch any of the games going on. They have a decent selection of bar games, including a pool table, dart boards and a shuffleboard. I never knew I could bond with strangers while playing shuffleboard, but somehow I did. I am very particular about my Guinness, as its one of my favorite drinks. The traditional tulip-shaped glass only comes in the larger size, and that’s usually how I prefer my Guinness as there’s been a taste difference between this and a regular beer glass(that’s how particular I am with this drink). However, they do manage to get the right ratio of foamy head to beer(for this drink, it does matter). Another good thing is that they also serve mixtures of Guinness with other beers/drinks, and there’s a sign that tells you the names of the combination Guinness drinks. Decent selection of other beers too, and a decent selection of cocktails. Go here for their happy hour, where a large Guinness can be $ 5, as opposed to $ 7. Their beers on tap rotate, and I was sorely disappointed when they actually rotate one of my other favorite beers, Boddingtons, which is supposedly popular. Note that a can is not the same as on tap :( Con: They don’t serve food here, which sucks for a person like me who can get drunk VERY quickly on an empty stomach. Not everyone has the luxury of having a friend that lives in PB that can house you while you detox.

FSU fans meet here to watch games together and there is no booster membership pushed on you. Also, they have a local art night which is pretty sweet.

Alright so we decided to hit up the bars in SD, all the way from Pasadena, to celebrate her 21st birthday! She turned 21 on midnight and hit up almost 5 different bars before making it to this one. For some strange reason, none of the bars would let her in, EVENWHENSHEISALREADY21. I’ve never heard of the rule where you have to wait 6 – 12 hours before going into a bar/club. That’s absolutely ridiculous! But Brewley’s Pint’s was a lot better about this. Thank you bouncers for saving her night! The bouncer was extremely friendly to us, as I’m sure he knew we weren’t from around here. The bar was mad chill. Loved the setting. The bartenders were extremely friendly to us too. We bought a bunch of rounds and they remained friendly to us, and of course we return the favor by tipping well! There is a nice interesting selection of beer. Definitely different from what a normal bar sees. They also have a small selection of hard A and can make mixed drinks, but you don’t see any of the handles. Quite interesting. The bartender poured my friend a birthday blowjob shot, and the bouncer also poured a cherry bomb. She had a great night. I was hoping she’d puke and we would have to wheelchair her home. But that didn’t happen. But seeing her smashed for the first time in quite some time was definitely a sight to see. Thank you Brewley’s for saving our night. We’re definitely coming back the next time we’re back down on Garnet!

They don’t serve food or liquor, but there’s something about Brewley’s that I totally dig. It’s about twice as chill as any spot off of Garnet Ave. and about a quarter as d-baggy. The crowd is a bit older than the average of the area and noone’s really rattling off shots so it makes for a pretty chill place to grab a beer or two with buds. They’ve got shuffleboard, which I could play for hours and the staff was all really friendly. It’s not really an Irish Pub, but if you enjoy a somewhat quiet drink in an atmosphere unlike the normal PB weekend I think you’ll agree that Brewley’s is a decent spot.

Kyle, the manager, is fantastic! Great beer served ice cold with shuffle board, pool and darts along with plenty of TV’s for watching sports. Get down to Brewley’s and help us fill the place!

I believe it was a Thursday night the first time I came. I wasn’t feeling the«get drunk, go crazy» kind of atmosphere a lot of PB bars encompassed on a Thursday night. So a friend and I decided to make our way to Brewley’s Pint. I haven’t been to a good Irish pub in ages, and this place totally hit the spot. There was live music playing, the staff was all dressed in theme for Cinco de Mayo, there was happy hour until closing, and I totally loved the festive atmosphere. The crowd was just enjoying the music, they weren’t too loud and obnoxious, just a bunch of friends hanging out and playing shuffleboard and pool. One downer though, they don’t serve food. But other than that, it’s a great place to drink quality beer with great service on a mellow night.

I got to give it up to these guys! They are new, so give em a break on not having a liquor license. It is really hard to get a license in pb if you don’t have a kitchen in your bar. Every time I come in I am greeted by the door man, the manager and the bartender will start convo. This is a great place to sit and have a beer and watch the game if you are riding solo. There are not many bars in pb that I can say I enjoy going to by myself. I work really close to this place, so it is always a nice place to stop in after work. This is the type of bar where the bartender will buy you your first beer or even a shot(of their rice wine…) ;) This is my new kick it spot in pb. I really like the people and the vibe and I enjoy that it is not crowded. Thanks Rob, Kyle and Katie!

If you’re me, Sunday is a good day to come here. Not overly crowded, good crowd and great natural light for an indoor bar. Now there were some idiots getting super hammered here, but that’s PB on a Sunday. Don’t like it? Don’t come. Parking can be iffy… it is Garnet and right in the middle of town. But there are pay lots all around, so that’s an option. And are you really driving into town to get drunk? That’s a pretty uncool idea. Back east I’d insist on my Irish bars being stocked by people from Ireland. I think some Irish people work here, but honestly, I’m just happy for good service, nice staff and not being surrounded by DB’s.

This place is great. There are lots of beers to choose from, shuffle board & pool, and the best staff of all the bars in PB. There is popcorn to munch on or if you’re real hungry, food’s available from the neighboring Woodstock’s or Taproom. I would have put 5 stars, but it is true that they don’t have liquor. It’s not really their fault though. The man’s trying to hold them down. Oh, and«There is nothing Irish about this bar»? Erroneous! The owner is Irish. The décor is Irish. There are Irish beers. There is Irish music on the jukebox. I’m looking at you Jay P.

I went there Friday night with my friends. The good: 1) They have enough booz to get you drunk. 2) They let you bring in outside food in… since they don’t have food 3) The staff are friendly. The bad: 1) There is nothing Irish about this bar. It is another PB-meathead bar. 2) VERY little Irish alcohol. No Whiskey = HUGE dissapointment. 3) VERY little Irish music. I get it. Its a bar business. It seems the owners were like, «well since there aren’t any Irish pubs in PB, lets put up one.» In an effort to be different. Don’t be fooled… its just another PB bar.

Came here on Thursday for happy hour since I haven’t been here yet and it’s so close to my place. We were immediately greeted by the manager(who looked like a patron because he was socializing with a group of people at a table). Being indecisive as usual, I took a few minutes to look over the menu and ask about specials. My friend really wanted a vodka soda, but they don’t have a full liquor license yet… apparently there’s only a certain amount allowed in the area, and of course, PB is maxed out! So, we finally decide on some pinot noir, which I really liked. The first round was comped by the manager, so that was nice. We stayed for a few more, and although the free popcorn sustained us for a while, we needed to go somewhere where they served food. They have menus for Tap Room and Woodstock’s next door, and they welcome you to order food from other places to eat there, but those didn’t sound appealing(although, in retrospect, they would have been better than the burritos at Fred’s that we ended up getting…). Apparently they have some sort of celebration on the 17th of every month. And they have live music on Mondays and Thursdays. There were only about 15 people there, with mostly an older crowd. Definitely didn’t have the typical PB feel. They also have shuffleboard and a juke box.

I’m from Boston, so I’ve been to a couple billion Irish bars. Real ones. Good ones, gross ones, scary ones, cliché ones… but the Irish bar in PB disappoints, as far as I’m concerned. The space is small and narrow, reminding me a little too much of my LEAST favorite place in the entire city of Boston, McFaddens. They have one of those juke boxes that you need to pay to choose from, but it’s cash only. Coincidentally, the ATM located next to it is out of order. In it’s defense, I went on St. Patty’s Day. I’d like to see on a normal night if they have actual tables to sit at or anything to that effect. I also will wait to go back until they get their real liquor license… beer with a side of a shot of apple pucker just doesn’t do it for me.
