Restaurant is dirty all over from the bathroom to the drink area to the counter. Stood waiting for someone to help me but the drive thru person who saw me ignored me and did not bother to let anyone else know I was there. He was not busy, he could have taken the order. The worst Carl’s Jr’s I have ever been in!

Only giving it 1 star because I guess I HAVE to give it a star to post this. This place fucking sucks! I’ve been here 4 times and everytime they can’t take my order. Please go out of business.

I tend to go here often, because of its convenient location to my work. And every time i go, i always expect better… but the staff is always rude every time I go and treats you like you are inconveniencing their personal time to ask for food. The wait time is always at least 5 minutes at the window and usually at least 3 minutes of waiting at the order menu, before anyone will even take your order. I hate leaving bad reviews, but the staff here is of terrible quality.

If I didn’t have so few burger joint choices in the area I would pick anywhere else to go. I have had staff pretends not to see me in line waiting just so they didn’t have to help me. I’ve had my food taken over 20 minutes to get to me when I’ve been the only person in both lines. I feel like the sloth from Zootopia moves faster than most of their employees. I’d give them a 1 star but at least the food is good and not all of their employees are bad.

Service is seriously terrible. I live down the street, so I come here a lot. I always hope that the service will be better, but it’s always lousy. No matter how polite you are, you’ll most likely get a short, monotone response back. The man who works late night is especially bad! He’s younger, looks a bit like John Boyega from Star Wars. Very cold and sassy, for no apparent reason. I’ve ordered from him several times and it’s the same thing every time. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, since I’ve also worked several service jobs… But this is unreal. After reading the other reviews, I see I’m not the only one who has come across him! I added a star because the food is always hot.

This place is ridiculous. Will NEVERRETURN. The food is ok. But the weight(wait) time is like a 5 star 12 course meal at Mr. A’s. It’s stupid. I can’t even go on its so unreasonable.

Terrible service . Went thru the drive thru order one item only. They took forever to come to window for payment with out a greeting whatsover. After payment was received they took like 10 minutes to give me my sandwich. I did comment that it took to long and server response was rolling her eyes and closing the window in my face.

The food is always fresh but the customers that visit this location bring it down a couple of notches.

Checked in here after a night of drinks and dancing in SD. Seriously, if I had a quarter for every time the cashiers eyes rolled, I would have had an extra $ 2 in pockets leaving. The poor guy was not having a good night, obviously, every motion he made from taking orders to bagging our meal was with an ice cold sassy attitude. After waiting in the drive thru for what felt like a whole century, he gave us our meal and bam! He forgot the onion rings. We had to wait an additional 5minutes for a small order of onion rings, ridiculous! I eat Carl’s Jr, probably once in a blue moon, this visit made me not want to visit another location… ever.

This place is horrible. This is not based on one visit, this is based on several visits. My order comes out wrong 75% of the time. It is really frustrating when you get home and find your order completely wrong! Carl’s Jr continues to increase prices yet the quality goes down and they wonder why they can’t compete with the local options in the area.

According to the BF, Carl’s Jr. is «on the higher end of the fast food chain.» With that being said, we drove through in order to grab a mid afternoon pick me up. The location itself is easy to access at the bottom of the hill under USD. We ordered chicken strips and fries and they were good. I’m a big fan of Popeyes and Chick Fil A so I can’t say that these strips could compare, but they were good. I was actually really impressed by the fries though! I never give Carl’s Jr. enough credit, but their fries are actually really, really good! I loved them, especially dipped into the honey mustard sauce.

Should not take 30 minutes to get a turkey burger! Then to get cold fries! Enough said.

There breakfast is pretty good but the coffee… ohh my the coffee is the best. Better than starbucks. Better than 7 – 11 just as good as Dunkin and the price is reasonable. Really good stuff. The place isn’t really appealing and the characters that hang out around the place make it that less desirable. I come here just for the coffee most of the time.

Full of homeless people, pretty gross inside in general. I have been here before, and it seems to be worse.

Horrible service. We drive up to the drive thru and begin to order our food. My husband had to order his burger comb 3 different times because the guy couldn’t get it. Then kept asking what our order was again.(Look I get it your having a bad night but don’t take it out on people by giving attitude) and he asked my husband if the order was correct on the screen and my husband said that he could not see the screen. The guy huffed and puffed and gave my husband the amount and told him to pull up to the window. Then as we pull up he is at the cash register completely ignoring us with the drive thru window open and then keeps doing trying to clock out and tells the other guy to take over because he didn’t want to attend to us. Then it took the other guy over 3 minutes to pay attention to us and told us the amount and my husband gave the money. Then the guy tells us to park on the side because our order was taking a bit log. So we did. And the other guy brings our order to the car and we check it and they were lacking onion rings and my(no I am not making a big deal about the fact that the onion rings were missing, my deal is the attitude that went with it) husband goes back in to tell them and the girl that helped him was super nice and help us out. Over all horrible service and very disappointed.

Nothing bad to say. When it’s late and you don’t want to cook, decent option. Better than jack or mcyD’s and 24 hour drive thru is convenient. Friendly service and they got my order right can’t ask for more than that haha

Decent place. They definitely kick out some good burgers compared to other fast food joints. At the moment they don’t have the green burrito operating so no crispy tacos :/but it’s okay, they are more than just that. Gotta love the coupons too! That definitely makes it nice being able to get two meals for discount price. Thank you Mr Jr for the good food.

With an often sleeping baby in the car and a sleep deprived mama behind the wheel I frequent drive-thru places which offer Diet Coke from the tap. Carl’s Jr is the closest to my house. I’ve never ordered food here, and have only stepped inside once. I will stick to the drive thru and my medium Diet Coke.

Every time I want something easy, I head here since it’s close by. Every time, the service is terrible. The first time, they forgot my ice cream. Second time, they forgot my soda. And the third time, my sweet potato fries were burnt. I don’t know what else to say besides awful.

5 Stars for Adam G. Very nice & helpful guy. Carl’s Jr. is just like any other ones out there, but Adam G’s customer service gets 5 stars. Questionable people frequent the establishment, but what do you expect considering the area it’s in.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! Super rude staff and seem pretty lazy! I know they might be upset that they are working at a fast good restaurant so they take it out on the customers but they should be happy that they even have a job!!! Definitely shouldn’t be rude to local customers! Horrible experience thinking of writing a letter to corporate about their service!

I was attending an orientation in a building on Morena Blvd, and this was the closest place to get something to eat. I ordered a big burger from the value menu of the day. It was brought out to me in a timely manner, but I wanted more ketchup, and a cup for some water. I went to the counter and stood in line for over five minutes, and got nowhere. I went back to my seat, waited a few minutes, went to the counter, and stood in line for five minutes again. At that point in time, I just decided to eat in my car, since I keep bottled water in it. I decided to forego the extra ketchup. It’s a fast food restaurant, what more can I say?

We go to this Carl’s Jr because it is close to our house, but not any more! We have grown sick and tired of the staff there, plus our food is always poorly assembled! The meat, lettuce, tomatoes always slips out of bun of my burger! The staff makes it known they don’t like their job with their horrible costumer service: they never smile or even greet any one especially two Hispanic women that work there!

As others have mentioned, this is a bit of a sketchy area… The homeless guy sitting on the curb in front of the drive thru was a mess and it was the middle of the day! Management & corporate should take note of this. It’s kind of scary to order at the drive thru with a homeless person just a few feet away. I mean, you can’t tell the person you don’t have cash because you are about to buy something! My order came out a bit slow and it seemed like they must have been understaffed that day. The food was just what I wanted and tasted good like it usually does. I like Carl’s overall, but will probably drive a bit further to the location on Clairemont Drive & Burgener in the Keils/CVS shopping center just uphill from the Mission Bay Info Center. I’ve never had a bad experience there.
