Chipotle Mexican Grill

Gasp, a five star review on Chipotle? Yes… and I can explain why sit back and relax!
This location has had it’s ups and downs. When I first moved to the area things here were «a-​ok». Over the last six months it has only been amazing though, so it’s time to sit down and do a review.
First of all, the service is what sets it apart from other Chipotle’s and quick food places. Christian is the manager I see the most often (I usually go at night) and he is awesome. I didn’t realize he was the manager when he was helping me, and someone else working there mentioned it when I told them how great he was.
Secondly, I really love the food there. It’s fresh and the carnitas (my personal fave) are cooked so perfectly.
Lastly, there is a great outdoor area to sit in. It’s in a parking lot (so no view) but it’s a great spot on a warm summer night to sit and relax. As a nice plus there is ALWAYS parking there when I am there at night. It makes it an easy decision to stop by (sometimes 3x’s a week!) on my way home from work.
Overall I think this adds up to a 5-​star location as I am never let down by these great workers!

We just ate at this chipotle it’s disgusting, do not go eat there we found a bug inside my sisters burrito. So bad DO NOT eat there. We had to talk to the cashier because there’s no manager. The cashier gave the next customer free food so they don’t say anything. What a bad store, and they have «A».
My sister kept throwing up and we all don’t feel good after what we saw. We’re gonna call cooperation tomorrow, ya we got our money back but after what we saw that’s not enough.

It was not up to the normal Chipotle standard I’m used to. Place was clean but the food was subpar.

Very friendly service, consistent quality every time I go. The parking lot here can get a bit crazy, other than that a solid restaurant choice.

I know Chipotle has taken some heat in the recent past but I still love it. This location is clean, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious.

Very good service and the quality of this franchise is great overall. Just about what you’d expect from Chipotle. I eat here at least twice a week and the staff is really cool.

I had an unusual circumstance and the manager Chris took great care of me. The food was delicious and the customer service was above and beyond! Thanks chipotle!

The two hardest things to find in this area? A parking space and fast lunch service. With the four stars you’ve probably figured out that I’ve found both here.
Going out to lunch in the Del Mar Heights /​Camel Valley area can be brutal at times. Sometimes it just makes sense to just brown bag it. Technically, you can still come here and brown bag it because their bags are brown. BTW thank God this Chipotle is NOT located in Solana Beach or else you’d be taxed an extra 10 cents for that paper bag.
— Nice and large seating on the inside and plenty of space to eat outside.
— Very efficient with the ordering /​building process. Line moves very quickly.
— Also generous on portions. I’ve noticed that some other Chipotles are starting to get frugal on proteins.
— One of my favorite Chipotles.

Love this Chipotle. The staff is super friendly, and they already know what we are going to get once my bf and I walk through the door. (We go too much) lol. Favorite and healthiest out door food we get, and very filling. If you haven’t been, you need to get a steak bowl! I usually get double steak (the perfect amount!)

I’m stumped. I can’t figure out what people are so crazy over at Chipotle. I’ve eaten here and at other locations a few times over the years. I always remember that I don’t particularly like it but it’s usually been a year or two since I tried it and I decide to give it another go, only to find myself disappointed again. And I usually love Mexican food!
I order the chicken burrito with cheese, lettuce and sour cream. I hate beans and have never been a fan of rice in burritos, although it’s fine on the side. Maybe these two ingredients are what make at Chipotle burrito great because my version just doesn’t cut it. The chicken has a strange flavor that I can’t quite put my finger on but it certainly doesn’t taste Mexican. The best part was the chips and salsa verde that I ordered on the side.
This review isn’t slamming this location in particular, which is clean and spacious, but instead just a generic review of all Chipotles. Hopefully it’ll serve to remind myself that I should stick to chips and salsa in the future if I end up here again. But in general, I’d much prefer to get a California burrito from one of the many more authentic Mexican taco shops in San Diego.

Love coming to this Chipotle if I was in the neighborhood. The workers are always nice, quick even at different times. If only they worked by my workplace on Clairemont, it would be perfect! But you cannot have everything.
Carnitas are back and they contain pork for those interested. My go to is either a Chicken Burrito or Chicken rice bowl. Their food is always fresh and just good to eat. They always give a reasonable amount. I think the guys working there are starting to recognize us haha possibly. So far, me, sometimes with my aunt would come grab some Chipotle to go after Zumba class, and every time it is quite fast.

LOVE all and any Chipotle locations! Nothing varies from location to location which is amazing because it means they are consistently kicking ass all across the board. Guacamole is always green and super fresh and they aren’t stingy with the amount they give you! If you haven’t had done it, the Barbacoa is a must try! My boyfriend got me hooked and if you’re unsure about trying it go half and half. That’s right! Ask for half chicken half steak. Try whatever combo sounds good! Also, something cool, you can always ask for the tortillas on the side with the burrito bowl of you’re wanting some extra yummy on the side. Clean location and speedy time in and out!

Consistent with their food across the country. This place is no different.
The staff was friendly and I could tell that they enjoyed working there.
I usually ask for double rice and beans and this results in 1.5x instead of 2x. This place however was a true 2x. The burrito could barely close.

I go to this location for lunch at least once a week, sometimes up to 3 times.
Every single time, without fail, service was friendly, efficient, and on point. I always get the same thing– a steak bowl, and I’m happy with the freshness and portions every time. They are generous on their portions and even when I come during their busiest time (12 to 1 ish) they get me through the line with fresh food, great portions, and a smile on.
I only have a 30 minute lunch break and it takes 3 – 4 minutes to get to my car after I clock out, and 3 – 4 minutes to park and clock in. Not to mention a few minutes to drive there depending on the stop lights. I am able to get my food during their busiest hour with a wrap-​around line and make it back to work on time without fail, and usually left with time to sit down and eat at this establishment as well. Hopefully that gives a good perspective of how efficient these guys are. Sometimes I place orders ahead online, sometimes I don’t, both methods have worked flawlessly for me.
These guys really do make my Mondays a little brighter. They never show any disdain or fatigue on their faces at the sight of an endless line. Thanks, you guys rock.

Chipotle is great, there’s no doubt about that but sometimes not all chipotles are created equal. Some tend to over salt their meat, have a bad attitude or the overall cleanliness doesn’t meet the corporate expectations. That’s not the case at all with this location, as they really seem to have their stuff together for the most part. The location is perfect, as there are several businesses around to keep them busy during the day, not sure about in the evenings. It’s always packed around lunchtime and they handle it nicely. The food is always fresh, staff is always smiling and the facility maintains a high cleanliness level which equates to awesomeness. Go in, get your tacos or burrito, grab a seat and enjoy the meal. Don’t forget the guac!

Chipotle love. Yummy!!!
When I order, I usually get barbacoa meat it’s mouthwatering good and it really compliments my order of flour tortilla, chips, green peppers and onions, and pinto beans.
The location is nice right by the freeway and in between Mission Federal Credit Union and Starbucks. A bonus is the outdoor seating. basking in sunshine with the Carmel Valley breeze. while getting your Chipotle fix, what more can you ask for?
I hadn’t eaten at any Chipotle in years and coming back reminded me of it’s goodness!

Chris is awesome. Took care of us tonight. We got chicken bowls with all the fixings. They loaded us up with meat, quacamole and chips n salsa. Their cilantro rice is so flavorful. Their salsa verde has a little bite and is tasty too. The bowl is the way to go. Plenty of parking too :)
