Churchill Cigar Lounge

Large selection of cigars, large selection of cigar products, delicious craft beers and wine. The atmosphere and décor of the shop is very clean and well kept. You get a nice gentleman’s vibe from the place. The outside patio where you smoke is comfortable and also has heated lamps incase you begin to get chilly. There isn’t anything not to love about this place. It’s a great place to come alone or with friends and just relax, smoke some cigars, have some beers, and easily talk.

Once again this place amazes me great selection of cigars and the service is incredible. If I happen to live in this part of California I would be here pretty much on a daily basis give it a try you will not be disappointed. Apparently they have a great selection of beer and wine me as a person with 21 years of sobriety do not drink however the selection is well worth a look The people who work here hare always there to fill up your glass so don’t ever expect your glass to be empty

Great place to come and chill with friends. Everyone was watching the Charger game and we immediately made friends with the locals. The lounge is small and the people working there were great.
I really hope I have an opportunity to come back here in the future.

I’ve been here a few times to purchase cigars as well as lounging with a glass of wine. Everyone has always been super nice and helpful and it’s a great location and vibe. I’m happy to support this local business.

In a nutshell… I like these folks! Out of towner looking for a quiet cigar, nice glass of wine. Wow they delivered. Nice outside patio area with plenty of seating. Met some cool folks and had some good conversation. Isn’t that the essence of cigar smoking? Good wine selection, nice collection of cigars with variety. Something for everyone. I’ll be back. Thanks guys.

Great Selection, friendly staff. Enjoyed an Opus X (Churchill of course) on the patio. Great environment to relax, enjoy a beverage and cigar. I highly recommend this place. I am a cigar aficionado and found some things here that my local b&m did not have. Only negative was they closed at 10pm.

This was my first time actually entering a cigar lounge and my first time trying a cigar.
Wine and a cigar what a dynamic combination.
I felt a bit awkward because i did not know what to choose or what to do.
The guy at the time who was working during that shift on a Saturday night was extremely helpful, so patient, attentive and nice.
They have a seating area outside where they have heaters to keep you warm. It is just phenomenal. I totally loved it. I go to SD a lot so i will definitely come here many more times.

A little small, but a great place. Excellent cigar selection. Wine and beer is plentiful. Small outdoor lounge on the side with tables, chairs and TV. Don’t worry about the cool night air because 2 free standing heat lamps will keep you warm. A Diamond in the Rough of Old Town. I will definitely be back.

This great little lounge was recommended to us by a friend and we’re happy to have found it. Went two nights in a row and enjoyed great cigars and company. With the Old Town vibe and weather it’s pure pleasure sitting out side smoking. Great staff and a great selection.

Excellent place … When you come in to SanDiego make sure you stop by «old Town» and walk in to Churchill Wine & Cigar. Great selection of smokes … Humidor very well kept, and if you decide you hang around, step outside on their patio and kick back… The customer service has always been way beyond and above at this place. the Cigars are very well priced and not gouged like most places in a tourist area, I was surprised ! My last visit was a Liga Privada #9 and you can tell as soon as you toast up… their cigars are well kept… 5 Stars and a big thumbs up to all the staff at Churchill Wine and Cigar … I will definitely be back …

What better place to get a good cigar, a glass of wine, or your favorite pint. Staff is great (Shout out to Glenn), and patrons are friendly.

Great place to come and chill. They paired me with a great beer and cigar. Like the fact that they have local craft beers and California wines. People are extremely helpful and great hosts. I won’t mention price. I knew that coming to this cigar and wine lounge meant that I was going to get quality. They deliver a great experience. Well worth it!

Sure the prices are just a bit steep for what you get, but c’mon, wine/​beer pairing and cigars?! I’m in~! Sitting outside under the stars and lights enjoying the company of like minded folk, watching a game, or just enjoying the flavors on the nose this place is sure to hit every facet of your senses. My third time here, the only place to find my favorite cigar in store in SD, and definitely not my last time.

Nothing like a good cigar and wine after a great day hanging out with friends on the boat!
Our friends took us to this spot where they frequent. The place has an indoor and outdoor area to smoke. The NBA playoffs were on so they had a TV for us to watch as we grabbed a seat outside. We purchased a bottle of red wine and the worker came out and asked what type of flavors I liked. He then came back with the BEST cigar I have ever had. It was a coffee infused cigar. AMAZING with the red wine we were drinking. I have never smoked an entire cigar by myself and this was a great one for me to do that.
The staff is oh so friendly and knowledgeable. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Will definitely be back when we are back in town!

Churchill Cigar Lounge is one of my favorite spots in San Diego. This is absolutely my favorite place to bring my clients!
I have never had a cigar here I didn’t like AND I am a huge fan of all the craft beers they have on tap. Honestly… their hospitality is what makes me a loyal customer. I have had the pleasure to meet Anne, Glenn, Mark, Steve, and Danny. They are all incredibly knowledgeable, always welcoming and extremely attentive. Glenn and Mark make the best recommendations for cigars and pairing them with the appropriate libation that makes the experience most enjoyable. I have only been to the Old Town location because I am a fan of their outside patio. They have heaters on the patio that make the colder nights really enjoyable.
It is always a pleasure to spend an evening here and I would highly recommend this place!

Let me start this review off by saying. I am not a cigar smoker, however, because my boyfriend is a HUGE cigar nerd, I have grown a great appreciation for cigars and always «tag a long» with him on his search for that awesome cigar lounge.
As I’ve stated before, my boyfriend is a cigar nerd, how or when he started is unclear to me lol but he knows a crap load about them! So when we go into lounges he often attempts to strike up conversations about different brands, blends, etc. only to be disappointed by an unresponsive staff. THIS IS NOT THE CASE AT CHURCHILL!!! Our go to guy is GLEN! His extensive knowledge, pallet and top notch customer service make coming to this awesome establishment a must!
This lounge has a great selection from your average smoke to high end cigars for all you aficionados! Glen has a great «eye» for helping you pick out your next great smoke based off of what you’ve had/​liked in the past. I really cannot stress the excellent customer service we’ve received from him whenever we stop by. This cigar lounge is small and clean with a cool little covered patio, with heaters! Making it perfect year round to stop for a smoke! They also have a great selection of beers and wines to sip on, and TVs outside for your viewing pleasure!

A good cigar is an intimate 30 – 45 minutes of deep, thoughtful enjoyment as simple as burning tobacco but as complicated as the human spirit. Today my spirit was complicated at one of the nicest cigar lounges I have seen in a while. More beach hip than old money vibe, the Churchill is a nice place with lots of very high quality stogies, a great wine selection, and about 13 beers on tap.
Nestled at the top of the hill in Old Town, Churchill is place where a guy can kick back, watch a game, and contemplate the direction and character of the billowing smoke lifting from a cigar that was stored at exactly the right humidity so it doesn’t burn unevenly or need re-​lighting. I also like the fact that the other guys will gladly keep up a conversation with you, whatever the subject. Even politics. Hey if you’re going to be there 45 minutes with your $ 10 stogie, you have to be patient and tolerant, and your buds gladly do the same.
