Club Train

NYE crawl. No line, yea, right.
Unorganized crawl from the start. Couldn’t get any of the the crawlers into the first venue. The round up to each venue was poorly done. Skipped one of the venues for reasons they never told. Waited for too long to get into the last venue. Do yourself a favor people, skip this crawl and go to the other ones. By far the worse one in Downtown SD.

Ill give a extra star for the manager Tami for responding to my complaint and doing her best to resolve. Unfortunately, It is what it is, the birthday girl and our group was mistreated and left but I’ll give Tami credit for being professional and responsive to claims against her company.

All right, haven’t written reviews in a few yrs, extremely busy w/​the businesses I manage but this is worth the time.
Of course my lazy ass friends didnt do anything to figure out where we should go in Gas Lamp. You can have a good time anywhere there but I wanted to go to a a couple of clubs, not just bars since the trip was for my cousin’s bday wkend.
Fri night we went to Prohibition and Tipsy Sparrow or Crow etc. Had a really good time there, esp Sparrow. This crawl was on Sat. The guide was attentive and answered whatever I threw at him on that night. The best part was getting into the main club (forgot the name) in right away even though we got there around the time they’d be leaving soon. My group and I got in before some hot girls. They had them wait as we walked in. I felt so umm exquisite and important lol it was dope.

Alex really knows how to show a good time in the Gaslamp! He treated my friends and me (large group of 13 guys and girls) to a fun night with no lines and no hassles. All of the clubs we went to were great! Alex was even able to get us some special hookups at each club (drink specials, etc). What really sets Alex and his service apart was that when we ran into him the next night, he took care of us just the same! He really made our nights in the Gaslamp Quarter amazing! I would highly recommend the Club Train to anyone who is interested in exploring the Gaslamp club scene!

I have always been a fan of gas lamp. Being from orange county it’s a short 2 hour drive to a bunch of clubs and bars. Me and 7 of my friends decided to go for my best friends birthday. Of course I did a little research on what were the best spots to drink and go dancing. I found the club train on here on Unilocal and the price of the tickets were very reasonable. No lines and no cover charges. Just the flat rate we had to pay for the ticket. So all of us decided we were going to do this. I don’t remember any of our hosts name unfortunately we never got an introduction but it’s okay because there was a large group doing the club train that night. Also everyone in the club and bars seemed to be on the late 30s or 40s. I was hoping for a younger crowd but I wasn’t going to let that ruin the night. I didn’t really enjoy the walk from one location to the next especially since we were pretty tipsy or drunk but we made it.
The first place we were at was a bar called Don chido. Our waiter who took our order said he didn’t know what the club train was and we had to explain to him we get special deals on drinks. I didn’t really like that. Then we headed to 3 different clubs. I liked that the hosts were always to be found and always gathered us up to the next location. I didn’t like that no one was dancing and some of the clubs were boring. But me and friends had a good time either way. All and all everyone enjoyed their night out and I was happy with the experience. We will definitely do it again.

Last night was amazing thanks to club train leader Alex Razo! We went to three destinations and my favorite were Sidebar and Fluxx! A night to remember!

I was really hoping I could have come out with a better experience, especially since this was my baby sister’s bachelorette party.
The guys running the show were super cool and super nice, but the whole experience was a bit chaotic. There were way too many people on our «train», we were crossing streets at random, seemingly dangerous street corners without crossing lights to get to clubs, and the «no line» tag-​line is false because you do, in fact, wait in line, especially at the larger clubs.
The whole night was turned upside down right from the beginning. Don Chido’s was having a private event. We were never told about this event therefore had to take the last available chairs on the patio and hang out. Luckily we did not show up at 9:00 like recommended.
We then proceeded to go to the last club on the list first because our «conductors» warned us that if we didn’t try and get in early that we may not get in at all because of crowds. We went to Fluxx first where we waited in line for 20 minutes only to get in to a club that was already at capacity. Ordering drinks was a nightmare and we literally had no where to stand or even move.
I haven’t been out in San Diego for a few years and I guess it’s just not really our scene anymore. Although I have to say, the best clubs and bars we experienced were the ones that we found on our own after we decided to «get off the train».
If you’re into clubs that are crazy deafeningly loud, super dark, super smelly and super crowded, like you can’t even lift your arm or hear yourself talk, then this is your thing.
Club Train is definitely a cool concept, but it has a lot of growing to do if it wants to appeal to the masses.

I highly recommend signing up for an evening with Club Train versus just going out and showing up at a club on your own. No lines, no hassle, no cover fees and a free drink (shot) to start. I also enjoyed the entourage aspect of it with our Club Train leaders Alex and Vince, dressed in dapper bow ties and suits, shepherding us around the Gaslamp district of downtown San Diego.
I tried out Club Train last weekend (bought my ticket through Pacific SD Magazine for extra savings). The itinerary included a set schedule for visits to Don Chido, F6ix, Side Bar and FLUXX with an hour at each location and 90 minutes at the last one.
The evening was slow to start, as my friend and I found ourselves bored at our first stop, the new bar/​restaurant Don Chido, where the group was to meet and depart to the clubs. If we could do it again, we would’ve shown up later for that first stop because it was not necessary to be there the whole first hour. We were told by our Club Train organizers that there were food and drinks specials at Don Chido. When we got there, we were seated at a table, then ignored by waitstaff for a long time before we finally asked someone who then told us we had to get drinks at the bar in order to get our Club Train deal. Also, we were told by the Don Chido staff there were no food specials. By showing our Club Train wristbands, we ended up with $ 5 margaritas (half price!) from the bar so it wasn’t a complete loss but we felt like we wasted a lot of time in Don Chido and that the night was off to a rough start.
Once our group leader summoned all of us (around 30 people), things went smoother as we then proceeded to each club. The evening then flew by as we had about an hour in each venue. Our Club Train leaders escorted us as a group from club to club but it was fine when we twiced missed our group leaving. We were still able to follow on our own with our wristbands. It was nice to be taken care of but not completely babysat, as once you are inside the club you’re on your own.
I didn’t get a chance to talk to other members of our group, but theoretically you could probably make new friends in Club Train.
A Club Train ticket normally costs $ 30, but I got the magazine deal where it was $ 20 with fees (total $ 22), which is a steal.
The highlight of Club Train was the group photo at the end of the night. The group leaders always have the group gather together and take a photo in the middle of Market Street which is a lot of fun. Timing is everything with the traffic lights!

ALEX WAS SO MUCH FUN AND AMAZING! Had some girlfriends from out of town come visit and we decided to do the club train and it was def a night to remember!

Alex was our host, one of the best club nights I’ve ever had! No lines, great drinks, super organized, and great times!!! I would definitely do it again!

What an awesome experience! We bought our club train tickets for a friend’s birthday celebration and the price alone was so worth it, not to mention all the extras you don’t even think about. Not only does the ticket get you into the clubs without a cover charge but you also don’t have to wait in line, alex got us right in to all four clubs we went to. Also if we were having a hard time hunting down the bartender for a drink alex knows the bartenders so that was another bonus. Alex went above and beyond to make sure we knew the schedule and kept us entertained. He’s really funny and a total sweetheart! He also introduced us to some real awesome people throughout the night. I would highly recommend alex and club train to anyone looking to have a good time downtown!

No lines, good vibes. It was a great experience.
Will for sure be doing it again when we are back in San Diego.

Club Train was so much fun! We were visiting from LA and wanted a fun girls night out. Eric Huth showed us a great time in San Diego’s best clubs! No wait, great service and best crowd!

I have used club train twice. New Years Eve & a bachelorette party. Both times were amazing! No wait in line at all. The hosts went out of their way to make sure the bachelorette party had a great time! I highly recommend using them!

Spent my friends 26^th birthday club hopping with my girlfriends. By far the best nightclub experience I have ever had, no waiting in line or dealing with door guys! 4 venues in one night. Met some really nice people that were also a part of the group that night. Alex was our host for the night, he was awesome! Would defiantly do this again for my birthday or a special occasion.

Explaining Club Train in one word: BADASS! 4 Clubs in one night. Didn’t wait in a single line. By far the best way to experience the best of the best in Gaslamp. You are stopping at the premier nightclubs of San Diego and doing it with ease. No hassle at the door. No long lines and big covers to deal with. Whether you wanna club hop with your bestie (like I did) or planning a night out for the best bachelorette party ever, this is definitely the way to go!!!

I’ve lived in San Diego for 3 years and was taking my friends visiting out for a bachelor party in the Gaslamp District and was stopped on the street by Jason and completely changed our original plans and went with Club Train. Needless to say it was awesome! We paid $ 30 a person and did 4 clubs/​lounges throughout the night and didn’t wait in 1 line. That alone right there was worth it to me. Awesome vibes, sexy females, good music. So I recommend this to anyone who wants to do a lot in a little amount of time!

Love love LOVE Club Train! I had never heard of this company before but my friend wanted to go for her bachelorette party and we ended up having a BLAST. The club train employees made sure the bride to be got some extra special attention letting everyone know it was her night! All the clubs had great music, great atmosphere, and great vibes! I can’t wait to have my birthday party with them next!

Club Train was legit! got into 4 clubs without any problems, and had a blast! It was like a pub crawl but for clubs. I’d definitely recommend this group to anyone. Jason was so helpful and obviously knows what he’s doing!
