Been here a couple times because it’s so close to home. Service is great. Their food is always hit or miss with me. The only food I’ve really enjoyed here is their spring rolls and their smoothies. Service is also hit or miss.

I bring my grandpa here whenever I get a chance! I eat my vegetarian phở while he eats his Phở Tai! I’d recommend this place for meat lovers and veggie lovers.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and over that time period, I’ve noticed how they are cutting corners wth quality especially in their phở meat. I won’t be coming back because seriously, you don’t mess with phở.

Order the 7 meat broken rice dish which I thought should be good since their restaurant name is literally broken rice 75. However, it was not good. The pork shred have a weird smell to it. And the meat was dry and doesn’t have that bbq smell that make you want more. There were also fly flying around and those waiter didn’t bother to kill them. Came to the place because I wanted to eat rice, leave disappointed and make me missed my old vietnamese rice place in Los Angeles.

Absolutely terrible experience. ordered a super blt says it has bacon, ham, lettuce, tomato, avocado. i get back to work and to discover i was given a ham sandwich i call back to tell them about it and she says no it says ham or bacon. ummm no first you dont argue with customer especially when it’s on menu specifically saying what it contains. plus its a BLT=BACON lettuce tomato. had too much mayo on it .the sweet and sour sauce they give with wontons disgusting taste like plain ketchup .and wontons have no taste to them plus were barely hardand hardly any filling. smh never going back to this place.

DONOTEATHERE! I did not want a Beef phó I had ordered it was not appealing anymore and I politely asked for it to be removed off my order they said no and threatened to call the cops on me, this place is RUDE&RACIST, they went in the back and started talking mess in their language. DONOTEATHERE!

Stopped in when I was heading to Café 102 next door. The food is okay. I had the phở ga(chicken soup). For the amount of food I got, this was a pretty good deal. There’s one size only from what I saw and it is definitely a large. I noticed a few things here though… there was an apparent stench of something… I couldn’t tell if it was maybe the fish sauce on the tables or maybe something floating from the kitchen. The service was prompt and quick but it sorta lacked in the whole«going out» for the customer vibe. It was more of a «what do you want on the menu?» followed by a «here’s your water» vibe. Overall, the phở ga was pretty standard as far as phở goes. I may try this spot out again if I am in the area but there’s also a hundred other options of phở on this block.

Im giving this place two stars because the restaurant is clean(bathroom especially), and the tofu fried rice was delicious, however the phở(beef flank, tripe meat ball and vegetarian) was bland not very savory and sweet, just not much there at all, now as for the service, it was pretty much non existent, no one came to ask if everything was ok, the place was virtually empty just me and my boyfriend yet no one cared, after telling the server we were done they took the plates but never came back with the check, a waitress saw that my boyfriend was flustered and got up to get it for us, 10 minutes after we said we were done, on a side not i almost forgot my phone and said waitress ran after me to give it back, decent thing to do, so if you like good fried rice and dont care for personable service then go here

Gave this location a try to round out all the phở places near my home. The décor here is odd. Lounge chairs with wheels on them. Huh? Not really appropriate for a restaurant, plus they take up a lot of usable space. The Phở Dac Biet was not good. Broth was too sweet if that makes any sense. Fixing inside were«ok» in texture and taste but the broth makes or breaks this dish and it was just not good. The sandwich was also«ok» but not great. Bread got super hard and not edible. There are so many better phở spots within 2 – 3 blocks of this location. I cannot recommend this location.

I live extremely close to this place so I’m happy to make this post. I came here today because it was raining and close so I could still get my rare beef phó without starting the car. Anyhow, I had the rare beef bowl(as stated) and the egg rolls. WOW! I was very surprised when I got home as the egg rolls were handcrafted just like they were spring rolls(next time), not in size but quality. That’s impressive, not having the pre-rolled stuff like everywhere else. The phó was great too, but typical and on par with the best I’ve had, which include Ca Daó and Nhat Uy that’s up the street a little. Definitely recommend.

+It’s open late until 10pm +convenient locaiton +comfy seating +not busy +Good selection of Viet food/drink/snacks +Fast services The noodle soup was average. The taste and the recipe was traditional. Nothing suprisingly better or worse. The price was a little more expensive than restaurants around the areas.

I honestly think this is the best Phở spot in town. My husband and I have tried a lot of different places and we always come back here. He gets #67, fish and shrimp and pork I get the veggie tofu phở, ALWAYS on point! The fried wontons and eggrolls are great too! And the Mongolian Beef! Mmmmmm They seem to change employees often but it’s always great service and everything is served very quickly

There was a bug in my food. Came here 1 time for lunch with my ex and her dad. The inside is nice and new, looks clean for the most part. We all ordered broken rice dishes, started eating and whooooop there it is. I don’t even know what kinda bug it was but it was clear enough to see that it had wings, I wish I had a picture. I didn’t bother complaining to them because they had already given me the wrong order. I ordered a pork chop, but they gave me the shredded pork skin stuff. I didn’t complain about that because I was like whatever I’ll just eat it. I didn’t wanna embarrass my ex’s dad cause he was the one who chose the place and wanted us to try it. I got a little bowl of phở broth on the side also. Which was bland so no point in eating that. I had to tell them I wasn’t «that hungry» since I didn’t finish my food. It’s not even worth trying to go back again.

Hands down one of the worst phở I have ever had. My dad warned me about this place. We’re Vietnamese and he said the food here was not good. I decided to give this place a try and see for myself and man was he right, the food was not good. I got the special phở that came with all of the fixings, rare steak, brisket, beef balls, tendon, and tripe. Some of the meats were ok while others like the brisket were not. Brisket was mainly all fat and some parts were a bit tough. I did like the rare steak and the tendon was very tender. Everything else was eh. The noodles had a very hard consistency to them. Usually as you eat the noodles were softer as they absorb the broth. These stayed firm so it felt like I was eating raw noodles. This could be a problem with the broth not being hot enough. Now to the broth. The temperature wasn’t the only problem, the flavor was way off. My first sip I knew it was going to be down hill. It lacked any real flavor and tasted different, but different in a bad way. The herb plate was also a bit sad looking. The bean sprouts looked fresh but the basil did not. They were tiny leaves and some were beginning to wilt. Service and the cleanliness of the place were what saved it from a 1 star but that’s not enough for me to come back and give this place a try. I actually left hungry… If you want phở I recommend going down El Cajon Blvd to Phở Hoa.

4.26: Weird décor, I wasn’t sure what the theme was, it was cool to see Kobe sticker on the wall however. I order the Broken Rice, my rice was super cold and hard, old rice. I asked for another one and they did apologize and gave me new rice right away. The food was okay at best and well unfortunately nothing really stood out for me and so I don’t believe I will come back again. I mean I don’t mind if I’m in the area of course.

There is a large Vietnamese community in san diego but limited number of goof Vietnamese restaurant. Com Tam 75 is among one of the good ones. This is a small establishment, family owned business on El cajon blvd. I’ve heard about it so decide to check it out. The Com Tam(broken rice) supposed to be popular here. We order the Com Tam of course and it did not disappoint. The pork chop was well flavored and the rice was just right. The side soup is not bad either. The Vientiane coffee is also pretty good. The place is clean and service is friendly. Couldn’t ask for more, especially at these local authentica asian owned restaurants, which supposed to have a reputation of uncleaniness and bad service lol. U haven’t tried other dished but Com Tam is good. Def recommend

My fiancé & I love com tam 75! We come here all the time! The rare beef phở & spring rolls are our favorite. We personally like the pork & shrimp spring rolls best, however we have tried them all & they’re all delicious. We have also tried their chicken wings, egg rolls, & their vermicelli salad & to say the least we haven’t tried anything we haven’t liked there! I would definitely recommend this place!

I am not impressed with this restaurant on El Cajon Blvd. 1) Their phở is not that good. I have been to almost the majority of the Vietnamese restaurants on El Cajon Blvd, and Com Tam 75 ranks near the bottom of the Phở rating list. 2) I ordered the fried rice another time and broke out from hives within 2 hours of eating it. I think it’s maybe because they re-use their cooking oil to fry their rice. I eat fried rice a lot, and I have never broken out with skin issues until my experience at Com Tam.

I miss the old owners. They use to be a lot cheaper and they also had more variety. The staff is usually very near nice. Price is still very decent. My favorite is their curry fettuccine. I don’t go here as often as I used to anymore. Last I checked they still had the phở special going on for five bucks, which tasted pretty good.
