It’s pretty decent. Sandwiches aren’t spectacular. Soup is a little spotty and unimaginative. Not a place I would frequent if not here on business.

The good part is that the staff is nice. The food is good. But, as several others have pointed out, the wait is terrible. The line for food isn’t bad, but after the order is made it is a long long wait to get food. I often have to follow up with the staff to see if they misplaced my order because I have waited for such a long time. There are other places to eat in this little food court. Unless you have time to kill, try one of the other places.

The location just off Mira Mesa is just across the street from my office, so I thought I would give it a try. I enjoyed a Chicken Caesar Wrap with Fresh Fruit for lunch yesterday! Some places use that pre-cooked chicken, which I think is terrible, so I was very happy I could taste the freshness of the chicken. The fresh fruit wasn’t anything exciting, but was a nice fresh side that wasn’t deep fried. This is a great place for anyone looking to have lots of healthy choices for lunch.

I don’t know how this place has only 2.5 stars. I’ve worked down the road for a while and we tried them for a catered lunch and I’ve been hooked since. The presentation and quality were impressive. Wraps, sandwiches, pizzas, cookies and fresh fruit. The tuna wrap is absolutely the most delicous tuna or wrap I have ever tried. It is loaded with solid white albacore, onions, romaine and a delicious mayo spread. I’m addicted. It comes with fresh fruit. They use Boar’s Head lunch meat and bacon in sandwiches, the most premium meats I’ve ever tried. Sandwiches are not huge, but they are fresh and great quality. The pizzas are made from scratch. The food is on the healthy side, which is nice. The tuna wrap is $ 7.95 and I eat only half and save the other half for the following day. It’s huge. They have pastas too. The prices are fair for the quality and the location/convenience. Fresh food takes longer to serve. Additionally, all«for here» meals are served on china with metal silverware. Classy, no wasteful disposable plates, forks, etc. here. They also have a text app, so just send your to go order by text, and pick it up. Nice music too. My new area favorite.

I’ve been to this restaurant several times as it’s close to work, but I won’t be going back after my latest visit. I’ve always felt the prices were high and the portions small for the price, but I’ve overlooked this because I like the tuna salad sandwich and pizza enough to have returned. The service has always been slow to the point of ridiculous, sometimes waiting up to 20 minutes in an empty café for a sandwich, but on my last visit they somehow lost my order entirely between the counter and the kitchen, and after I sat watching several people who’d ordered after me get their food the girl at the counter finally noticed me sitting there looking kinda pissed off, offered a half-hearted apology, and re-took my order, for which I waited ANOTHER10MINUTES, for a tuna sandwich. Frankly, although the food isn’t worth the hassle or the price, the one star is really about the deplorable service …

I was impressed with this place the very first time I went here. I like the curried chicken salad sandwich they make… but over time I definitely feel the quality of this place has only deteriorated. And this is something which even my friends have noticed. Which is sad considering they are open only for lunch and that too not even on weekends. The last time I went here I felt the size of the sandwich is now half of what it used to be. I asked for the veggie bean chili soup but was served something else, and when I asked the server, he brought me the veggie chili in a bowl with most of the chili spilled on the plate! The people who ring up the order are really nice otherwise, but the server who brought out my chilli bean soup — was beyond rude. I know it’s lunch time and everyone’s hungry which is why one needs to be even more careful … This could definitely be a better place if they did something about their service — made it faster and better. The menu is decent, a good wide range of options. But if you are looking for a quick lunch — do not go here, they take time and are slow.

I used to go here when I worked right across street from here. they have some decent options for lunch… like paninis, salads, pizza… I love their pizza but the panini is not pressed. its a jumbo foccacia with some filling in the middle… But above all of these… I am not a fan of how looooooooooooooonnnggg it takes to get your food here… it usually is atleast 20 mins for a sandwich. which is a lot when you are there for a pick up order and have to rush back. I see people actually order ahead… which might be better than wait in the crowded restaurant where people keep asking you if you are in the line…

I am surprised at the low rating from other Unilocalers considering how busy this place is every day! With the line out the door with the same patrons day after day I would have expected more ratings with more stars… but the truth shall set you free. I like their homemade butternut squash lasagna special… beyond that everything else is bland and boring. Like others have said the wait time doesn’t equal the results. Why wait for dry chicken salad sandwiches and pizza that is fair at best. Others I have spoken to seem to love those in-house baked rolls with a slice of cheese melted over the top but I am not feeling it. Seems like pre-portioned dough with a slice of supermarket brand cheese baked until crunchy. They are dry, tough and tasteless — maybe that it what is acceptable but there is better in the area. They are a little pricey compared to the few strip mall establishments surrounding them. Search out better options unless something on the specials board really catches your attention, you never know when a gem is waiting for you.

Food takes FOREVER to get to you. I ordered a pretty simple chicken curry sandwich. I say SIMPLE because when it finally came out like an HOUR later… it looked and tasted pre-made a week ago. After an hour of waiting you would expect some kind of apology or a spectacular looking plate.NO. Bread was dry, pasta cold, chicken was dry. taste was bleh! My kids make better sandwiches at home. Went here with some coworkers, WON’T BEBACK

Not impressed at all. Went for lunch with a co-worker, ordered a pizza and was charged more than what I read on the wall menu for extra toppings, then when the pizza came it tasted like a frozen pizza you can buy for $ 2.50 at Vons. Blech. I think it cost approximately $ 14 and for that price I can get a gourmet pizza from somewhere with an actual wood-burning oven. Will not be back.

The service is usually friendly, but that is all the ‘good’ I can say about this place. Today I had a meatball sandwich. The marinara sauce is so thin and watery that it only stains the roll orange. There was almost no tomato flavor. I showed the owner and she gave me a side of the sauce to add to the sandwich, but it doesn’t really work. The sauce is just too thin. In the past I went to get the egg and cheese bagel sandwich. I said«egg and cheese bagel sandwich» twice. The guy at the register said«cheese and bagel» and I would correct him. But, when I got back to my desk it was cream cheese on a bagel. Everything takes extra time because it is stored in a freezer. This is why you don’t see them preparing the food. The cookies, bagels, croissants, meatballs all start off frozen here. And, the marinara sauce tasted like it was unaltered canned sauce. I am disappointed nearly every time I go here.

I keep forgetting that I don’t want to come back here. Dammit! Their salads always *sound* so delicious: Strawberry Salad — fresh strawberries, fennel, grilled chicken, goat cheese, caramelized pecans over organic baby spinach with apple pecan dressing. Ooo-ooo-ooo! But the amount of goodies they actually give is SODISAPPOINTING, especially for the inflated price. I don’t think I even had ONE strawberry’s worth of strawberry slices WTF??? Couldn’t spare the other half of the one strawberry you used??? I think the sandwiches are better and at least come with a palmful of pasta salad. The gentlemen that I believe to be the owner is very nice so I feel bad for only giving 3 stars but geez… maybe if you had given me at least one whole strawberry I would feel less taken advantage of :(.

Been here a few times to pick up lunch on the go. Pricey for the items they sell($ 9 for a salad?!). I prefer going to The Grill and Market on the other side of the parking lot where you get a lot more for a few dollars less.

I’ve been here a few times. The food is mediocre, the veggie burger(special sandwich they have sometimes) is pretty good. The waiting time for a meal is a lot, when the restaurant is almost empty, it takes at least 20 minutes to get a sandwich. When it’s full, once, I’ve waited for a good 35 minutes before getting the food. Another negative point, the food is really overpriced for what you get. All the times I pay 8⁄10 $ and I leave still hungry. There are better places in the area

Not impressed. I’ve only ever been here once. At the time I was working down the street and was exploring options that would be accommodating to my lifestyle. Not here. All of my cavemen and women anyone living the Paleolithic lifestyle, this is not a good choice of a deli to go to. Nothing can really be altered and everything just smells kind of salty. I guess if you really forgot your lunch at home, like me, and you have money to toss then go for it. I forget what kind of salad I ordered because my brain is trying to block it out. But the lettuce looked sad and un loved. It broke my heart and I really didn’t want to go back. Having said that the parking is pretty easy and there are plenty of seats if you choose to eat here. Although, the website gave me the impression that this would be a fancier joint.

I come here if I have to quickly grab some food and get back to work, but I would choose pretty much anything else over this place. First of all, the food is really pretty mediocre. The best things here are probably their curried chicken salad or waldorf chicken salad. But they put MAYO on the waldorf chicken salad sandwich! Why you would put more mayo on a sandwich that already has a salad with mayo in it is a mystery to me. The breakfast meals are often greasy and tasteless. The service is really bad here, too. One of my friends and I waited almost a half hour once to get our food! So much for a quick bite to eat. Also, if you do take out be sure to check your food. Twice now I’ve ordered food to-go, then returned to the office only to discover I have a cobb salad instead of the BLT I ordered.

This place is a total ripoff. This deli, since it’s not much of a restaurant, is in a prime location with no competition so they can really over charge. If the food was good I wouldn’t complain so much BUT once I ordered a turkey sandwich. When I got back to the office it was an awful roast beef(which I like but this one just sucked), too much raw red onion, hardly any mayo or mustard and friggin grated mozzarella cheese. If you’re going to make a sandwich with grated cheese then toast the friggin thing! I ended up throwing most if it way it was just nasty. I call this place come on OUT ’cause if you eat there it’s commin’ on out! My co-workers were like, damn it’s hard to mess up a sandwich. Well this nasty place certainly did.

There’s a fine line between striving for excellence but falling short, and pretending to be upscale to justify higher margins. I’m not sure on which side Come On In! Café falls yet but I’m willing to give them anther chance. Come On In! is another tech park breakfast and lunch shop catering to the hungry masses of us white collar folks. Feeling adventurous one sunny Friday, I decided to give their lasagne a chance. It was the same price as the sandwich special of the day and sounded a lot more filling. Maybe my palate isn’t as choosy as most of my fellow Unilocal’ers, but I thought the lasagne was pretty good. It tasted much better than frozen-and-just-thawed lasagne and came doused in tasty pasta sauce. If only their front-of-house staff was as intelligent as their cooks. I ate lunch with a few old coworkers and one of their orders was completely forgotten. Even after our waiter promised that he wouldn’t forget it. He eventually received his meal, but there was no apology or compensation from anyone working there.
