One of my favorite restaurants in Rolando/College area. Very nice selection of beer and wine and waiter/co-owner Noe always remembers us from the previous visit. They serve home-made Minestrone Soup that is peppery and GOOD. The décor has that darker, moody feel that all Italian restaurants should have. My family and I always enjoy our time there.

Don’t let the outside fool you– the food is better than any fancy schmancy place in Gaslamp. The family that owns it is so generous and kind. The lasagna with cream sauce is the best thing I get there.

Mussels Alfredo were incredible! Even though I’m not a mussels fan I thought I’d give them a try as this was one of the specials. I’m glad I did because they were absolute perfection and I look forward to having them here again some day.

One of, if not THE best Italian in town! Fantastic service and incredible beer selection. We’re vegetarian, and they made us the most fantastic meal not on the menu. I strongly recommend trying it. You will become a regular!

My boyfriend and I found this place when we were craving Italian and I’m really glad we did. Food is pretty good and the portions are big. The staff was exceptional and I would come back just to see them, they were super nice and warm. Definitely going back! Awesome place!!!

So we came to this spot due to a coupon we got in our office mailers. The outside is pretty run down but don’t let that scare you. Although the décor is outdated and a little dark inside the gentelman who helped us was very kind. We all ordered off the lunch specials for $ 7.95. I tried the lasagna with soup. It was good the soup was very hearty and delicious I really enjoyed it. The lasagne was average nothing spectacular but not bad at all. My coworker didn’t care too much for her ravioli but my other coworker loved the carbanara she said it was delicious. I’m not sure if we will be back but I deff would save it for a local delivery spot since the prices were nice for the quality of food. Some dishes are better than others but nothing was horrible. Plus they have the real Coca-Cola in the glass bottle, can’t beat that if your a soda drinker.

When quality and quantity match up, you know you’ve found a great new spot! My girlfriend and I both ordered the tortelinni for take out, which came with garlic bread and a salad as well. HUGE portions and very tasty. The salad could have had a little more toppings on it, but the creamy garlic dressing was killer. The tortellini was rich and creamy, delicious! They even gave us 2 pieces of chocolate cake to go as well! Will definitely be calling here again when I am craving great Italian!

Wow what a surprise We stopped in for dinner on the recommendation of a friend and we were pleasantly surprised the food was great all homemade and fresh. The salads were crisp and the breads were just baked. Pasta was fantastic and the desserts all homemade. A great treat family owned and operated.

First, let me start by saying the food is good and the owner is nice. No problems there. We drove up and it looked a bit dirty with nasty ghetto apartments above it with people partying and being loud. We thought, let’s give it a chance — maybe it’s a hidden gem. Prices are HIGH for dinner, like Cheesecake Factory prices, but without the atmosphere. What is the atmosphere? It’s a dirty dive bar with stained ceiling tiles, cockroaches, drunk people, and they also serve Italian food. When my husband went to the bathroom, he saw a HUGE cockroach. We thought, well, maybe it came from the apartment above or flew in the open door. Then, right as I finished half of my Fettuccini Alfredo, a medium sized roach ran up the tablecloth and into my food. I knocked it to the floor, stepped on it, and vowed to NEVEREVER eat there again, no matter how good the food was. I feel sick… dear Lord help me…

I walked in and asked to use the bathroom while waiting for my daughter in a class next door. They had the nerve to flatly say no and kicked me out. The place looks so deserted, outdated and dirty that even if I wanted to eat there I would worry from getting sick.

This place is off the chain! Chicken parmesan sandwich is juicy like you wouldn’t believe. Their beer selection can’t be beat… Prices seem more than fair to boot. The brothers who run this joint seem like fine upstanding gentlemen as well.

We live right down the street and have eaten here numerous times since moving to the College Area in ’08. We’ve never had a bad meal in the restaurant, although the take-out pizza has been a little hit-or-miss(which is the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars). The waiter is always friendly and chatty, and we’ve taken numerous friends here over the years and everyone seems to have loved their meals. I’m not a beer drinker myself, but they have tons of beers for those who are into that. They also have a little bar area with a TV for those who might want to stop in just for a drink. Overall it’s a great neighborhood Italian place.

My boyfriend had been telling me about this delicious hole in the wall Italian restaurant with a great beer selection. Tonight we decided to have dinner here and I was not disappointed! I ordered the pasta carbonara, probably the best pasta I’ve ever had! Super creamy, delicious prosciutto mixed in and a huge serving. My boyfriend ordered the chicken parmigiana sandwich, which he loves so much he orders it almost every time. I had a couple bites of his sandwich and it was amazing, the bread was soft and light, it was loaded with chicken and had fresh mozzarella melted on top. Both dishes exceeded expectations, I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes. Definitely a good place to get a home made, hearty Italian dish. Also our waiter was very attentive and remembered my boyfriend who hadn’t been there in awhile, since he moved. Great customer service! Plus you can’t beat their beer selection! You won’t be upset with eating here!

It took a little long to get drinks. The food was pretty good for the most part. The pizza was good(a little oily) — kind of reminded me of a bread-y pizza hut. Also, a little too much bread and not enough chicken in their chicken parm. It was good, but a lot of it was just eating into bread and sauce. I’d go back again if we were around the area. This place does need a makeover though… carpet, random nicknacks, pink tablecloths, etc. I’m a huge fan of Restaurant Impossible and basically everything Robert Irvine says he hates about restaurants aesthetically, this place has.

Three Words: SHRIMPTEQUILLAPIZZA. That is what keeps me coming back. Took a couple coworkers with me to introduce it to them and they loved it. The first time I came the pizza looked a lot bigger. So I’m not sure if they downsized. But the pizza itself was still DELICIOUS. Besides the pizza, we also ordered the seafood pasta. This dish was okay. It wasn’t horrible but i would probably try other items on the menu before ordering this dish again. AND of course, when I take my friend Jimmy H. with me, we always have to get dessert. ALWAYS. And he’s the type to order it for the table, take a bite, and leave the rest for us fatsos. Seriously??? Yea seriously. =p Anyway, on this day I didn’t mind so much. We got the OREO Cheesecake and it was irresistable. I couldn’t stop eating it and I was extremely full. Service is five star. The guy who catered to us was so nice. Atmosphere– Not what you would think. It was very casual hole in the wall and almost too cute inside with the table linens and lights. And when I say hole in the wall now a days, its not a shady spot. It’s one of those hidden gems that has a certain«je né sais qoui» that keeps you coming back. :) Great wine and a vast beer selection for those of you that love beer. Coming back? Oh for sure!
