There is no other place that comes close to the customer service at Dairy Queen in Carmel Mountain. The friendly staff member greets you when you walk through the door and helps anyway they can. Blizzards are delivered quickly and always with a smile. You CAN’T find a place with better customer service! The owner Mario and his team are the best!

I am very pleased with the service that they have here. Everyone is super friendly and greets everybody who walks through the doors.
I have been coming here since I was a little kid, but this is the first time in years that I’ve been back. Took a look at the menu and said screw my lactose intolerance, I want a blizzard, so I got a mini Turtle Pecan Blizzard for about $ 4. they basically take the solid chocolate and crush them up into little pieces, and added pecans into them. It’s pretty much like their dipped ice cream cones without the cones and with pecans. I think the mini size is enough to keep me at a satisfied level, though it is a bit small for it being $ 4.
When they brought our blizzards over to us, they turned our blizzards upside down to show how packed it was in the cup, and then they asked us if we needed any waters, which is great because I’ve never really had these kinds of places go so far to do something as simple as asking you if you needed any waters before asking them yourself.
The taste is pretty much the same as all the other Dairy Queens, so there are no complaints about that. They don’t skimp on anything they give you, and the service here is great. The people working here are always making sure that you are getting the best experience that you can get there, which is greatly appreciated.

DQ is our favorite ice cream place. Even with lacotse intolerance, I prefer to be happy now and suffer later. My favorite go-​to is a vanilla milkshake. During the holidays, I discovered pumpkin pie blizzard and the red velvet blizzard. The employees are very attentive and polite every time.

Like some of the others posting about this DQ/​OJ, I previously couldn’t imagine writing a review for a fast food chain. However, all the comments about the super friendly staff and terrific service have been true for me. The owner Mario, his wife and their sons (Marcello and Eddie) and the longer tenured members of their staff (General Jacob, Lauren and ALL the others) great me (and it seems like everyone else) like a dear friend. I am welcomed by smiling faces and friendly greetings when I arrive and a fond farewell when I depart. And in the middle I am served enthusiastically with a relentless focus on making sure product quality is top notch and I am happy with what I received. In my case, they have even gone so far as to support my OJ obsession with a blended concoction made to my (somewhat finicky) specifications.
However, what is perhaps most amazing to me, is the consistency of their outstanding customer service. It is relatively easy to provide great service some of the time. However, it is hard to deliver all of the time. And here it is present every day and for every customer I have seen (which is starting to be quite a few as this has become a regular stop for me since moving to San Diego in October).

I wouldn’t normally write a review for a chain restaurant but this one is family run by the nicest family. The food and beverages what you would expect from an OJ/​DQ, the aspects that bump it up to a 5 star rating are the friendly staff and great service. It was also impeccably clean. It feels much more like a small town local shop than a chain. The cashier greeted the man in front of us by name and asked if he wanted the usual. We split one drink 3 ways and they put it into 3 little cups (we’d already had a big lunch but had promised our daughter to let her try an orange Julius). While we were drinking them, the owner, who was cleaning tables, heard our daughter ask if she could have an ice cream and he asked us if we would want a little sample for her. He asked if she wanted chocolate or vanilla and when she said both ache got her a little cup of swirl.

The employees here are seriously the nicest employees ever. There should be more businesses like this, where customers are valued AND the food is great too! Come on. I’m so glad I stopped in! DQ way to go!

This place is fantastic. Family owned, extremely friendly and helpful staff especially Eddie, and amazing ice cream. Five stars

My girlfriend and I decided to stop here for a quick snack after running some errands. I decided not to get anything, but when the store owner handed my girlfriend her ice cream cone he offered me a free sample of some chocolate ice cream. He was so nice and friendly I just couldn’t say no. I noticed him talking with other customers and being so genuine that I had to write a review about how great this place is. It always makes me so happy when I meet someone like this guy, great customer service is hard to find nowadays. This dairy Queen visit definitely made my day :)

I just decided to stop in for a quick snack and was overwhelmed by the quick and friendly service I received. The man who appeared to be the manager/​owner made an effort to greet and interact with every guest that came in. The friendly demeanor of the staff made for a very pleasant visit and I’ll definitely be visiting again.

Mario, the manager, is so kind and accommodating. He often offers soft serve samples and water. The other employees are also polite and nice. The food is delicious and cleans as well.

Great service at this Dairy Queen. The staff is really friendly and prompt here. During my latest visit the boyfriend and I split a banana split. Ha. Found out from the cashier that you can actually customize the banana split, which no one ever told me before. So for this one we got the pineapple, strawberry, and caramel toppings for our syrups and then got pecans instead of peanuts for our nut toppings. It was really delicious. I don’t think anything can beat Dairy Queen’s soft serve. They’re just perfectly creamy and not icey like some cheap soft serves are. Will be visiting again to cure my next banana split or blizzard cravings.

Dairy Queen, yea Blizzards are awesome, blah blah. I usually never write reviews for chains because they don’t have as much of an effect, but Mario deserves 5 stars every day!
I sincerely hope this location does well because I’m rooting for Mario and his family. If you’re in the area, it’s worth stopping by and grabbing something just to experience his pleasantries. He tipped his hat to me, for crying out loud. Don’t think I’ve seen that since… well, never.
Hip hip hooray for ice cream and AWESOME service!

Located in a spacious shopping center, surrounded by a number of other food places, and boutiques lies this Dairy Queen.
We were greeted as soon as we got it, and we walked up to the counter ordering a banana split. One of the other employees began to make it as we were still deciding on toppings. I was happy with whatever was default, but they asked us if we wanted different sauces or toppings which caught my girlfriend’s attention. They gladly explained and listed out the option for us, and we settled on caramel, strawberry, and pineapple sauce, with pecan topping.
After we found a seat the employee actually brought our dessert out to our table, and we promptly enjoyed and devoured our treat. Great service and tasty treat. Will definitely come here again!

I don’t go to a dairy queen often because the kids like Baskin Robins. I came here with Co workers after a nice hearty lunch. I was impressed with the cleanliness of this shop. Mario is the server that helped us and he was courteous to ask how our smoothies and ice cream were. I wasn’t too keen on getting a high caloric dessert so I went something low calorie. Mango Pineapple smoothie hit the spot. Next time I’ll try a blizzard.

I can’t believe I haven’t write a review for this Dairy Queen. What’s not to like right?

my kid got a gift card to DQ… he’s never even heard of it… so we were in the area and stopped in…
the gift card had $ 20 on it!!! wooo!
kids ordered what they wanted… one got a brownie sundae the other got on of those milkshakes with stuff in it (blizzard?)…damn that shake was amazing!!!

The staff are simply amazing! Very friendly and so nice! I’ve ordered whole ice cream cakes from them a couple times and it’s always great and with a smile! My favorites are the Heath bar and the Snickers flavored whole ice cream cakes.
I grew up eating blizzards way before the McD decided to rip them off with their McFlurry and I’m glad to know that Dairy Queen is still the best for my ice cream, Dilly Bar, and Blizzards cravings!

I been to a lot of DQ’s but I’ve never came to a place with such good customer service! Unlike other places where they just call out your order for you to pick up, the workers here, ESPECIALLY Mario, hand delivers your ice cream. I’m always pleased when I come in here, they never make my orders wrong or forget any add ons that I want

This location has been here forever and has been remodeled (not sure how recently but the store interior looks great). You are not living a full life if you’ve never tried a DQ ice cream cake. I was introduced to it when I was a teenager and can say that nothing compares to their ice cream cakes (with the chocolate cookie crumbles in between the ice cream).
We recently stopped by after what felt like years of not visiting. I ordered the standard swirl in a cup with the chocolate dip topping.
TIP: ask for extra chocolate dip to make for ‘chocolate chips’ once you mash it together with the soft serve (see pic)
Service was nice and helpful on this visit.
Friend also purchased their ice cream cupcake ($ 3?). The cake portion is their chocolate cookie crumbles. I didn’t take pic of it but friend said her son thought it tasted ok.
This is a nice location and there were plenty of parking that day during lunch hour.
