Very good Del Taco location. Great food, great value and excellent service. For fast food, Del Taco seems to care about quality.

I’ve been here at 12 noon and I’ve been here at 12 midnight before & each time it’s equally hot and fresh and delicious.
As a fast food connoisseur I would like to review the new epic steak burrito.
I’m usually a chicken taco kind of girl but the picture looked pretty fantastic so I went for it. On top of the other layers of salsa rice and beans I also added lettuce which gave it more texture and drowned it in mild sauce. The price is a little steep… Over $ 6 But hey when you’re starving you’ll pay anything. The quality of the meet is a little bit chilly so next time I will stick with the grilled chicken burrito which is a little bit easier to chew through.
I managed to resist of the caramel cheesecake bites which are my absolute favorite dessert of any fast food restaurant chain. Be careful when you bite into them though because they will squirt hot caramel all over your shirt. One major caveat, have a lot of patients if you go here at 2 AM on a Wednesday night/​Thursday morning after everyone gets out of Incahoots. Everyone is drunk and ridiculous

Its ok, I have had some bad experiences and some good ones. all in all its Del Taco. What should we expect.

Ordered Macho Nachos in the drive thru, only to find when I opened them, there was hair all over the food. It looked like someone shaved with a buzzer and emptied the hair and sprinkled it over the food. I’m not exactly sure if that’s what it was, because when I brought the food back, the manager and the cashier who took my order acted surprised as well. Disgusting.

So tired of being charged for extras that I order and NEVER getting a correct order. Major fail guys, every single time.

Very friendly, the workers all had smiles and welcoming. Food was hot and fresh. Better then other del tacos I’ve been to in Orange County.

I’m just glad this place is open late! After a night of heavy drinking it was a blessing to find a fast food restaurant with huge fries greasy tacos and chili fries to make my hangover tolerable the next morning lol! Their drive through wasn’t «fast» enough for my drunk ass hunger but after inhaling my greasy food I felt like a million bucks! Yay to Del Taco for keeping drunk people fed! Cheers!

You know what you’re getting into when you go to a place like Del Taco. The quality is edible but the prices are very good. Customer service cracked me up. I enjoy employees with personality. However, the balance of professionalism was a bit lacking. Though that is not the reason I am not a fan of this location. My main issue was the wait time. Almost 15 minutes in the drive thru, being 1 of 2 cars there. We ordered a dozen tacos. Nothing fancy. That sort of wait time is just inexcusable. Sadly, when we did receive the tacos, the order was partially wrong. Technically, some of the tacos were «upgraded for the inconvenience,» but since I am lactose intolerant, the addition of cheese and sour cream wasn’t much of a plus. I would have just asked for my original order to be completed but I didn’t want to spend more time waiting for plain tacos. I would very much like to see better delivery time when it comes to getting food. It is called «fast food» for a reason! Overall, this Del Taco seems pretty empty most of the time and I can see why. If you are desperate to eat something, then yes, stop by. But if you can manage to go somewhere else, I’d suggest doing so.

If there could only be one fast food restaurant, I hope it is Del Taco. It’s not something I do often, but when I get a craving for something hot, fresh, and tasty, Del Taco is the go-​to place for me! I love burgers, Chinese, and there are tons of taco shops around San Diego, but I just can’t get passed how great Del Taco is and has been over the years.
So, full disclosure, Del Taco was my first job at age 16 way back in the 70’s. Yes, I’ve been a customer of Del Taco for about 45 years now (because of course I went there before I started working). When I worked at Del Taco, we made the refried beans from scratch, grated the cheese, cut all the lettuce and tomatoes and it was so fresh back then. From the taste alone, I can tell it hasn’t changed.
I don’t know of anything I don’t like at Del Taco but let me go through a few of my favorites. For a quick snack, the spice jack quesadilla is one of my favorites. Just the right amount of cheese and just slightly spicy. For tacos, I like the traditional regular tacos but usually go for the double beef. The double del is better than any burger at «In N Out» and nobody makes better fries than Del Taco. Yes, even McDonalds fries cannot beat the crinkle cut fries. Fresh and hot, these are the best fast food fries.
Now, if I’m going to Del Taco, without question I almost always get the deluxe del beef burrito. It’s a large size burrito with plenty of ground beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. Unfortunately over the years they have cut back on the sour cream so I always order mine with extra sour cream to get the full flavor. Add the Del Taco hot or mild sauce and this is the most incredible meal from a fast food place you can get!
I’m a big iced tea drinker and they have quite good fresh brewed iced tea which goes so well with any of the meals. And lastly, the taco sauce. The only shame is you can’t buy it in any store, or none that I have found. And as hard as I have tried to make beef like theirs, unfortunately I can’t remember the seasoning pack they use. I have tried just about every taco seasoning pack from every store but can’t duplicate the same flavor. I love the taste of their ground beef and no other place can match it. I won’t even bother to mention some of the other crappy fast food/​take out Mexican restaurants.
If you have never been to a Del Taco, do yourself a favor and treat yourself. Again, the food is SO fresh and made that way everyday and has been for the 45 years I’ve been going and it never changes flavor. It’s nice to know some things have stayed the same and remain great.

Del Taco is THE ONLY FAST FOOD WORTHY OF INGESTING. I eat here at least once a week, and you can easily eat vegetarian if you want. Their refried beans are made locally at each store, and they taste great. They also now seem to have permanently added ground turkey as an option for ground beef — I think it tasted better, and is certainly lower in saturated fat. I go for the simple menu items: tostada, bean burrito, turkey taco, quesadilla. I bring my own avocado to add most visits — great !

Yes five stars. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying this is a five star restaurant suitable for a fine dining experience. But for fast food and what you would expect from a typical Del Taco this location is top notch. There is outside seating available where you can enjoy the San Diego weather. A large parking lot offer plenty of room for you and all of your friends!
As an added little bonus this Del Taco will have baskets at each table with all the hot sauces and ketchup your heart desires. Friendly staff and prompt service means you never have to deal with a surly attitude or wait long for your food. I’ve never had an order come out wrong and have never had to wait any extended period of time.
A great spot for a quick lunch. Not in the mood for a taco or burrito? Then get the Double Del Cheeseburger, or better yet, ask for a Bun Taco. It’s not on the menu, but if any one out there remembers Naugles you’ll certainly remember the bun taco.

I needed a little something to hold me since I was going to a little concert down at Normal Heights and wouldn’t be out for a while.
I remembered this Del Taco and Del Taco has always been my safe choice. So much for that.
I ordered a single Del with cheese, fries, and a drink. No, they don’t have a combo for that? I’m not sure why a simple discount isn’t possible, but whatever.
I was looking at the receipt and I kind of laughed. He asked if something was wrong and I was telling him about stopping at Kingman, AZ and the person there gave me a senior discount and I didn’t know whether it was an insult or a favor, since I’m not quite the age yet.
The person at the drive-​thru window said «It’s called getting old.», like Mr. 20-​something working for minimum wage was giving sage advice to me. I started to respond and I just let it go. I was having a bad day anyway, so better to just try to get along. I’m wondering what he’ll be thinking when he’s 50+ and still working there.
The sandwich was okay, though the meat didn’t seem fully cooked but the fries looked hella dark, as if they’d been cooked several times or they’d be in the fryer 10 minutes too long.
I ate some of it and just threw the rest away. It didn’t taste good, and it wasn’t worth a fight.

Love this Del Taco.
I visit this place twice a month before I head into my night course at the University of Redlands. I’m a huge Del Taco fan and this place gets the fries and Al Carbon tacos done perfectly every time.
There seems to be a few shady folks that like to hang out here –1pt. But overall, there’s plenty of room for everyone and I will continue to make this my spot.

I used to love them! These guys spit in my food maybe because I asked for my fries to be well done. I went to the drive thru so when I got home I opened my burrito to add some hot sauce and I saw spit in my food! Thanks guys but I won’t be coming back ever!

This location always provides great tasting food and excellent service! The manager and staff are always smiling and eager to help. Both the dining area and restrooms are clean and well worth the stop before hitting up Qualcomm for Charger games. I usually grab soft chicken tacos and a few crunchy tacos and this is prior to tailgating– I call this appetizers hahaha! I also get either a strawberry shake or a strawberry lemonade for only $ 1! Can’t wait for the next home game to drop by and get some yummy ways to fill my tummy!

Yes, I’m reviewing a fast food restaurant location; a rarity for me. Which means one thing: something stands out!
I had a Groupon for a BOGO of either a turkey taco or a turkey tostada that was set to expire yesterday, so I went to this Del Taco location. I redeemed the Groupon, and was struck by two things: the tostadas were big, and they were actually delicious! The ground turkey is actually mixed in with the refried beans, rather than dumped on top. I thought one would fill me up, but I ended up polishing them both off.
The restaurant is surprisingly one of the cleanest Del Taco locations I’ve been to. Yes, the chain uses fresh ingredients (and as such, is a bit more expensive than other fast food locales), but the quality is there. And hey, can’t argue with the Taco Tuesday and Thursday deals — which I have yet to take advantage of, but plan to soon.

This location is located right next to In Cahoots which I believe is of good business to them since they are open ²⁴⁄₇. Plenty of seating space on the inside and plenty of parking outside. Those who live close by, beware! The parking in front of Del Taco is patrolled and you will walk up to your car with a nice final notice of towing if you park there overnight.
The inside of it is quite clean. There is a drive thru which surprisingly works pretty fast. Not sure if it is because of not being such a busy location or if the employees just have it down.
Coming from Nico’s, this is definitely a downgrade when it comes to the size of their burritos, but it is definitely reflected on the price. A bean and cheese with salsa, guacamole, sour cream and green sauce runs at $ 2.17. The same at Nico’s would be $ 8+.
This might just be a matter of preference but I enjoy my burritos wrapped tight and not too saucy. This won’t be the case here. I’ve been to this particular location 3 times up till now, and every single time, the burrito was open on one end and it was quite «runny» for the lack of a better word.
Hopefully the business sees this as constructive criticism and allows me to update this review to a better rating. I’d definitely prefer Del Taco over Taco Bell any day, if that is of any consolation though. :)

I love Del Taco it’s my favorite fast food place, I always get a half pound burrito and make it bold (added fries&secret sauce) and their chicken soft tacos with inferno sauce yummy!!! I’ve had their tacos al carbon surprisingly their not that bad the sauce is good but the tortilla can be a little rough for my liking and strawberry shake also very tasy! The service is a ⁷⁄₁₀ depending on the staff some do greet hello and good bye.
