The Deli Mart has great sandwiches, my favorite is the off menu sandwich made with chicken breast, avocado, and bacon with all the veggies topped with Sriracha hot sauce on sour dough. They also have a great selection of growing craft sodas. When I went my friends and I grabbed food and sat outside on the patio. I had Dang butterscotch root beer. and dang it was good. I recommend you speak with Evan if you run into any questions. Overall great customer, very friendly staff. For faster service I recommend calling in to place a order. I will definitely be stopping by more frequently.

My brother told me to check this place out not too long ago since he knows how much I enjoy having a beer with my food rather than soda. So, today I had to cruise over to Miramar to order some granite and thought about this place after my scheduled errand. I looked it up and it turned out to be just a couple of minutes away from where I was. I wasn’t that hungry but I LOVE deli sandwiches so I gave it a shot. I was not craving anything specific so I asked the gentleman behind the counter to make me his favorite sandwich(with cheese and lightly toasted bread). While I browsed the beers they had in stock I noticed that they had a really good craft beer selection, even better than some of the neighborhood liquor stores that I’ve been to. After a few minutes of trying to figure out what I felt like drinking, I ended up grabbing just the classic old Ballast Point Sculpin to enjoy with my sandwich. The gentleman poured it into a glass for me and brought it out with my food. I have to admit, the sandwich was probably the best deli sandwich I’ve ever had! It was so good that I ordered another one to go so I could have something good to eat later on in the day when I got hungry again. If you’re in the area and want to grab a bite to eat or a drink, you owe it to yourself to stop in here. If you work in the area and want a good spot to spend your lunch break at, this is it! I actually can’t wait to go to Miramar again, just to revisit this place and try another sandwich. And they have really good craft beer too! I love this place!

Great food, great service, and above all, great prices. The best thing about this place is that they serve craft beer! They’re one of the few places in San Diego that are licensed to have the customers drink their alcohol on the spot. Hence, you’re drinking amazing craft beer without paying the bar prices because they’re selling beer at market retail values. This is now my favorite deli in San Diego.

This is just a small place in the middle of what looks like an industrial park, but it makes a mean pastrami sandwich :) I was relieved to find it after walking around one Saturday. The service was really friendly and fast. The deli/mart was kind of bare when i went, but good for basics and he mentioned that it will be stocked up soon. Basically, this is a simple place for simple food that’s good :)

Picking up my coworker at his mechanic place, i noticed this little Deli Mart at the ‘entrance’ of the this little lot with 5 other shops(mechanics, tires, etc.). After quickly Unilocaling the place, I decided to go in and check it out since my coworker wasn’t there yet. As soon as I walk in, I figured out what the other Unilocalers were talking about… place is a mix of an old-school deli counter, liquor store, and a convenience store all in one. One of those places where the same person takes your order, makes your food, and exchange the food for your money. Owner was real nice, asked me what I wanted, asked me what bread, cheese, and then the standard toppings he puts on all his sandwiches(lettice, tomato, mustard, mayo). He kind of had a sigh of relief when I said,” I’ll take everything on it, nothing special”. I am guessing he have had the run of the mill customers who wants bells and whistles with their sandwiches. His menu is pretty basic deli. Most of his special sandwiches are the ones that come with bacon. I had the«manhandler» which was a roastbeef with avocado. Had mine with american cheese on sourdough bread. «Topped off» my order with the deli pickle in the box. Sandwich was tasty, simple, and light. All for $ 5. Like a Unilocaler have said before me, not a typical place one would go out of their way to get to; but if you’re around, it’s not a bad choice for a simple sandwich. And oh yeah, being able to get a cold beer with your deli sandwich around a bunch of business like that — not too shabby in my book.

When I say«Old School» deli you may think dirty, small… And that is partially true. But this is more like an old school«lunch counter» than most people can relate to now adays. This small«deli» offers everythignt he hard working, corporate stiff like myself could need. Chips, Drinks(including pack and individually served beers) all the way to some office supplies like pens, auto supplies and basics like deodorant and toothpaste. But the real star is the family behind the counters rocking out simple cheap sandwiches to tame that lunch time anger.

I enjoy coming to this small little deli because it’s a short walking distance from my work and the people there are really nice. I know that this place doesn’t look as great as you might have want it but it’s all good for me. I come here for one thing only and that’s their ABC sandwich. Its avocado, bacon, cheese sandwich. and of course it comes with mayo, mustard, lettuce and tomatoes. Simple and cheap! Just the way I like it. I also like coming here ibecause the husband and wife who owns this place– they’re always so nice and thankful for the business. I love the mom and pops shops!

Was getting my car serviced at one of the companies in that complex, and decided not to walk a mile to find lunch at a fast food place. Basic deli menu with basic prices, large selection of chips, and a soda machine for refills(although the cup they sell is the 32 oz size, so that’s all I can drink). Friendly, fast, and good basic food. Nothing fancy, but it’s what I needed, and they have lots of seating both inside and outside.

Wait a minute. Is this the same Deli Mart I’ve been to? The forbidding one with the gruff cashier? The one where everything is so expensive, even the Arizona Iced Tea has the pre-printed«99 cents» price scratched out and raised 30%? Go the extra quarter-mile or so to Sunrise Deli or Deli On the Side instead; you’ll thank me.

My ever dependable sandwich stop for lunch breaks. And if you work anywhere near Miramar, you feel my lunch break pain… Tuesdays at Deli Mart mean the bread’s brand new and at its freshest, Fridays mean a ton of rough looking people cashing their checks, drinking beers, and staring menacingly… but Fridays also mean that Sam(the owner) is joined behind the counter by his sweet and lovely wife, who never forgets a face and always takes care of you. When Dr. Phil’s on the crackly TV screen, you can count on me sitting at that orange table(2nd from the door) with my Tuna on wheat no onions.

Conveniently located in the middle of who-knows-where, Deli Mart is exactly that… a Deli Mart. Nice little place with decent sangwiches and your usual conveniet store stock. The sourdough was very fresh and tasty :) Its by no means worth driving to but if for some reason you happen to find your self on Dowdy Drive like I did today its a cool place to stop.
