I came to this Dennys thinking it would be nice to make a change, well not true, one waiter was bitching about someone coming in late on the floor and he was just talking and talking, i guess he is new to this location… he is a mess all over the place just talking with the staff, it seems that i write many bad reviews but it its all good then its a 5 star… my waitress was awesome, like supergirl, put a S on her chest… The guy is back, making jokes about everything and everyone… my waitress ask if the cooks were ok, the place just got slammed, the guy made a joke about her asking… So Karen is her name… she gets 5Stars

Worst Denny’s we’ve ever been to, and we’ve been to many. My wife’s eggs were cold, hash-browns were undercooked and cold. The toast was burnt. My halibut, tiny as it was, smelled bad and was cold. My veggies were cold, and my fake mashed potatoes were so hot they burnt my tongue. The waiter was nice enough, but forgot the water we requested, and flatware. It took a while for him to get back to us, even though we were only one of two couples in there at the time. Although they were slow throughout our visit, it was noisy with the staff arguing or «discussing» something(Not knowing Spanish, I don’t really know what they were talking about, but they seemed to be raising their voices). It was annoying. Maybe some background music would have helped. There was none. The prices really aren’t that reasonable anymore($ 35.00 for our meal, with no drinks). It’s a poor value, and probably the worst food we’ve experienced in a long while. When the cashier asked us if everything was okay, we told her of our dissatisfaction. She said she’d talk to the kitchen. There was no offer to reduce the bill or comp us for next time. No need, we won’t be back!

This is the worst Denny’s I’ve ever been to. Shitty service and I ordered onion rings and could taste something was off. I bit into another and when I looked at the piece still left in my hand it was rotten brown and green with brown gunk covering the outside of the onion. So basically they grabbed rotten onions and battered them anyway and deep fried them. 6 other pieces were like this when I told the waitress she wasn’t sympathetic or anything she did bring my daughter a quesadilla instead but as I sit there I could hear the cooks talking in the kitchen how they couldn’t find anything wrong with my order when I peeled all the batter off them so they could clearly see. They said I was being picky this really pissed me off and I went to the manager who wasn’t aware of the situation he did take care of my tab but that didn’t make it right. I ate rotten food! That could make someone really sick. What if the order went to a kid and didn’t know any different and just ate them down and made them sick? They didn’t care at all that’s why I will never return here if if zombies are chasing me and this is the last place on earth to get a meal. Hell no

Everytime I feel hungry after midnight, I search for 24 hrs open restaurants. Obviously Denny’s is the choice, and they make me full with all their delicious dishes. It has been a regular scenario since 3 yrs as I always love to late night(I should say early morning.:P). Thank you dennys for providing me food whenever I am hungry.

I love Denny’s but this location is not up to standard. There was human waste in the walkway as you enter. They need to maintain the property. Then when we walked in it smelled like sewer. I mentioned it to waitress and she cranks up AC. I asked to be seated in back so we don’t have to smell the gross odor. The food was good, but the smell ugh. Definitely will not be returning to this location. Patrons Beware.

I ordered a grand slam breakfast, but the bacon was half done and the oatmeal was lukewarm. Terrible! Hope their lunch is better. Although the waiter service was decent.

If you want to place a to go order, good luck. I attempted to place an order over the phone several times before an early morning shift and no answer. I started to believe this location was closed. I happen to work close by and stopped in. The entire time I was there the phone rang off the hook with no answer. Only one waiter and a couple of tables, but no one seemed to hear the phone. Not a good first time experience. From the looks of it from other reviews, this place needs new management.

Let me say LOVE this store. My wife and I have always been die hard Waffle House folks, well here in San Diego don’t see too many. Anyways the wife and I had some friends in town so we stopped in. We all ordered and I was surprised the food kicked ass. So after our friends had gone back to New Mexico a day arised that my wife and I were looking for a quick bite we had somehow got turned around and found ourselves here at this Denny’s Restaurant. Anyway it was a bit busy and we were greeted like we were regular customers. The server who helped us when our friends were in town remembered us and what we ordered. She asked if we wanted the usual from before and we agreed and about 10 – 12 mins later our food arrived. I was amazed with it. This Denny’s rocks!!! We will continue to keep coming back over and over.

Unfortunately waitress EVA brought the rating down. Early today I called in a veggie«scramble». After paying, she showed me the«omelet» the chef cooked and asked if I wanted it. If it was free, sure, but since it wasn’t and I specifically asked for a scramble, I said no. I just don’t like egg pancakes. She asked if the cook could cut it up and I said I would prefer a new scramble but I’m sure that’s what they did. After watching her go from table to table I asked for a complimentary coffee while I waited which she provided. Wish she had initially offered it herself. She didn’t bother to show me the scramble when it was ready. She closed the box and I had to wait even longer because she didn’t bother to pack up the fruit and cottage cheese during my wait. She threw many ketchup packets in before asking if I wanted any. I told her I asked for salsa. She said«oh yeah» and came back to say they were out. Ugh! I had planned to just call the manager later in the day to let them know customer service was off but I forgot until I described my experience to a friend later. I just spoke to a manager and am sure that he will not bother to help her improve. Maybe she was having a bad day but she seemed to think it was ok to give me the shaft. I wish Denny’s would inspire 5 star service.

Smelled like a porter potty in the entire restaurant. Cheeseburger plain as shit. Cajon or seasoned fries are amazingly good. Props. Pretty nasty feel & smell to it.

Came here a few weeks ago(on a weekday) for a late night meal after helping a relative move. It wasn’t too crowded. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waiter recognized me from when I used to study here a lot. Food here at Denny’s isn’t going to be the greatest, should be okay to good. I guess the quality just depends on: 1) the time you go, 2) what you order, and 3) who cooks your food. For 1) I’d think better cooks are there during the busier times(mornings most likely). 2) some food may be easier to cook compared to other food. 3) relates to 1), but also their experience. The Philly cheese steak meat was a little more«well done» on one side versus the other side like the guy forgot to flip it. It didn’t totally ruin the taste, otherwise I would have sent it back. The breakfast my group ordered was fine. I mean it’s hard to mess up breakfast food, right? So my overall rating is 3(average experience). Service 3.5÷5 Food 3⁄5 Atmosphere 3⁄5

Oh gosh, I had not been to a Denny’s in probably 14 years, but I wanted an actual meal at 4am before heading to the airport, not fast food or airport food, so I decided Denny’s was worth a shot. I had low expectations, but they were more than met. I had the place to myself on this Saturday morning at 4am. The service was super friendly, super efficient. I grabbed a grand slam with pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs and an english muffin. The food came out within about 10 minutes. Everything was fairly tasty. The pancakes were a bit chewy but had a decent flavor. Eggs were good. Bacon was fine, but crispier than my personal preference. English muffin… hard to screw up. All of this, with a diet coke, for $ 10 with tax. The restaurant itself was clean and seemed well maintained. I was impressed throughout, especially considering my low expectations.

Update. Hadn’t been in for awhile. Decent grub for a reasonable price. What a cast of characters in this place. Denny’s is on AARP’s senior discount list. You get 15% off if you’re a member. The old folks trickle in and order their discount breakfasts and linger on over empty plates and coffee mugs. No where to go I guess. Killing time. The old lady in the corner is chattering away on an ancient flip phone to someone. It’s around 8:45 am and the street people start coming in. They’ve probably slept overnight down by the nearby San Diego river and are getting hungry. They wear jackets as even in the summer it gets chilly at night. Usually have a huge bulging back pack to carry their gear. A middle aged street person comes in headphones blasting his favorite tunes. So happy he’s doing a little dance. Music and whatever drugs he’s doing having an effect. He orders a soft drink, doesn’t pay and leaves the back pack on his chair. A bomb? Hope not. Doesn’t go off while I’m there.

Worst Dennys I have ever been to! I would of givin no stars but It requires me to give something in order to leave a review… besides them taking almost 30 mins to take our order, our food was served cold… my menu was soaked with chocolate milk and the staff is not very friendly. Our server didn’t even check up on us. I had to call her sveral times… oh and the bacon. greasy and burnt. I will NOT be returning here…

Well what can I say, Dennys is Dennys. No matter if you go for breakfast or lunch always a good meal. Good portions but the price seems to have gone up a few dollars. Our family’s server Martin took care of us and was a pro when it came down to taking our breakfast order. We received our meals fast. The store is a little older but still has the diner feel. Sunday is always busy, no surprise. The facility was okay as far as cleanliness. Some small food crumbs here and there. Walls were dirty in the corner booths. Our food was only warm rather fresh off the skillet. Overall good place for breakfast when you are looking for pancakes or any other type of American style food

Came to dennys on a saturday morning for breakfast, as usal the place is packed. 1. We were told that it was a 15 to 20 minute wait and ended waiting 50 minutes. 2. When we FINALLY were called the horrible manager tried to put us in a booth and a table. We do not go out to eat to sit seperated from each other. 3. The manager got pissed because we decided not to sit seperate and made a big fuss about it and then he also decided not to serve us, even though he served everyone around us. Horrible service other than shelby, our main waitrese. Didnt get close enough to the manager for a name but hes older with glasses q mustache and horrible hair. Youd think hed be more polite. Definetly will be telling my fellow military to stay away from this joint.

Service sucks balls. Food is OK the same you would get at any Denny’s. 1. Waitress forgot to bring our complete order. When I mentioned we are missing 2 orders of pancakes so goes to the kitchen and only brings back 1 order. I figure its not worth it and ended not getting my complete order. 2. Waitress never came back to refill drinks like ice tea. 3. Requested bill and never brought it. I watched her go stuff her face with food and bring bills to others. 4. Not related to our table but the waitress totally screwed up the order of the people at the next table. I finally had enough and we got up and just asked the cashier for our bill. Paid and left her a crappy tip of 3 bucks on a 45 dollar breakfast which is more than she deserved. I rarely tip bad but that is how mad I was.

Its what you expect from a dennys basically. We only went for dessert, which was great… hot fudge sundae with nuts and brownie ala mode.YUM. our server was really nice, very happy and attentive even though we weren’t spending much. What i didnt like was how dirty it was. It really needed to be swept. And we left smelling like grease and old food. I had to wash my clothes and hair. It was really gross. To the point, I probably won’t come back. Working in many restaurants, i know you pick up that smell when a place is dirty. Esp the kitchen. Its fine for some ice cream, and to cure a hangover but I wouldn’t Just up and decide to go eat there. But lets be real, dennys is for 3 a. m when your drunk… or whatever else… the next day when your hungover or if its late and everything else in the city is closed and your starving.
