Our workplace does rotating food trucks every day throughout the month, and I always look forward to when it’s Devilicious’s time. I’ve had the truffle fries, lobster sandwich, and crab cake sandwich. Lobster sandwich was just ok, the texture of the lobster was fine, but it did not have a very lobster-y flavor. The truffle fries were delicious, I love parmesan cheese and truffle flavor. But my all-time favorite is the crab cake sandwich — just absolutely great, just thinking of it makes me smile. Looking forward to trying more on the menu!

Went out for lunch with a couple of co workers in Poway at the Green Flash brewery. Just so happened to be the day that The Devilicious food truck was there that day. I ordered the pork belly sandwich with a side of seasoned fries… AWESOME!!! I ordered a Cubano to go for my boyfriend, he devoured it so fast, so I assumed it was as awesome as what I had. Hope these guys are there again the next time we head out for lunch!

I always go for the cheese steak which is awesome. Would have given them 5 stars but they have screwed up my order a few times.

So first off you need to order the truffle fries! They were delicious! Also the lobster grilled cheese was really tasty! I was anticipating a long wait but they were super quick and our food was hot and fresh! Definitely will be coming back for more!

The butter lobster grilled cheese sandwich and truffle fries are amazing!!! Well balanced lobster and cheese makes it an amazing comfort food!!! The toasted bread helped keep everything together! A great lunch food truck, just top of with a good craft beer

They’re just okay — I had the lobster grilled cheese, which wasn’t even lobster really… I would’ve liked to know it was langostino before I had bought it or I’d have gone for the Cubano instead. The truffle fries were pretty good though, gotta give them that. Prices were fair for food truck standards, just wish their food was up to par with some of the amazing food I’ve gotten from other trucks.

I didn’t feel like cooking, so I decided to give this food truck a try. I ordered the cheese steak and fries, but sadly I waited over 30 mins for my food. I was a little annoyed because I had somewhere to be! The cheese steak was OK, but the fries were really good! Very crispy and tasty!

Had the Cubano grill when they visited UCSD and it was way too greasy/salty for me. Feel bad for taking two stars off because the dude that took my order was super nice but I feel really nauseous after finishing my sandwich… Other menu items might be a better choice if you aren’t into super unhealthy feeling foods

I had the duck sandwich. Food was a little on the oily side. However, it was still delicious. They were pretty generous with portions and wait was not too long. For $ 10 I think they did a pretty good job in being unique and tasty.

If you’re looking for comfort food… and not looking for overly healthy… this is the food truck for you! I’ve had the Parmesan fries a few times always yummy! I’ve tried the pork belly grilled cheese– it was very tasty(yes it was greasy buttery goodness) but, I couldn’t stop eating it! LOL Ok… so I needed some veggies … so an ASPARAGUS grilled cheese Samwich should do the trick… right. Wowza am I glad I decided to try it! It was sooo yummy! The asparagus was just right… not too crisp and NOT soggy!!!

These guys have no idea how long 8 minutes actually is. That’s just the time they quote as if you’re the only one in line, ordering only one sandwich. I thought I was the only one in line. I was quoted 8 minutes for my sandwich; it’s going on 25 minutes, and I’m starting to grow faint. I blame both their inaccuracy in their time quote, and even more so, the family of four who ordered 85 bucks worth of food from a food truck. Thanks for putting the cooks back for days because you were too hipster to just go to Jack in the Box like your kids wanted you to. They dont want lobster grilled cheese for $ 12.95. Fuck all of you who bring your damn kids and babies to a brewery and then order from food trucks. You’ve made your choices in life, so live with them. 30 minutes. Where is my pork belly sandwich? I didn’t even get French fries. Did you give it to that family of four, Devilicious? Did you sell your souls and my sandwich to get them done a little faster? My spouse just texted me, wondering why I abandoned him. Our party has forgotten about me. They probably think I walked home. I probably will have to, at this rate. My spouse has the car keys. My friends probably think im dissing them. I’m just trying to get a sandwich. 35 minutes. I am now the last person standing here. They had my sandwich, but didn’t call my name. They offered me a free drink for my troubles. I was unable to respond due to low blood sugar. The sandwich was good. My spouse ate half of it without asking if I was sharing, but that’s not the fault of Devilicious, except for perhaps making an enticing sandwich. 4 stars for food, 2 for urgency. 3 stars.

Our apartment complex hosts food trucks from time to time. Tonight was the Devilicious’ food trucks turn! All I can say is the truffle fries are legit! The best $ 4 you will ever spend on fries! They nailed it! I also tried the buffalo chicken sandwich. Not too shabby! It’s got a kick to it. But hands down, the fries are worth it all on their own!

OMG this is the best food truck I’ve ever had. We tried them last night at Artifex in San Clemente. Great service and amazing food(thanks to Kenneth and Daniel)! We had: The Cheese Steak — Thin Sliced Ribeye, Mushrooms and Onion with Provolone, Spicy Mayo and Mild Cherry Peppers on French Sandwich Roll — This was our favorite hands down. We are going to have this food truck cater our wedding, and we can’t wait for our guests to try the cheesesteak… SOBOMB. The lobster grilled cheese — Butter Poached Lobster Tail Meat, Melted Jack & Cheddar Cheeses, Caramelized Onion & Roma Tomatoes on Freshly Baked Artisan Sourdough — I’m not even a fan of lobster, and this was DELICIOUS, and I liked how generous they were with the lobster, definitely didn’t skimp. The Cubano — Hickory Smoked Ham off the Bone, Smoked Pork Shoulder, Swiss Cheese, Garlick Pickles and Dijon on Freshly Baked Artisan Sourdough — This was our least favorite of the 3 sandwiches. Don’t get me wrong, it was really good, but I think it either needed more pickles or a different type of pickle, the sandwich needed a little more crunch. The Fries — They cook and season their fries perfectly! We tried both types: the Truffled Parmesan Fries and the House Fries. They were both seriously so good. Best fries I’ve ever had. It’s going to be hard to decide which one to serve at our wedding because we liked them both so much. We enjoyed every single bite of this meal. Try this truck! I promise you won’t be disappointed, especially if it is Daniel cooking.

Two experiences here and counting, most recently at Modern Times Festival of Dankness. Wife had the duck confit grilled cheese and I had Cubano Grill. Both outstanding and unique in preparation. Delicious and filling. Certainly rich and buttery. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Great fresh food, my wife enjoyed her lobster grilled cheese, I had a BBBLT, it was delicious, bacon tasted like bacon and the other ingredients were fresh and tasty. This food truck is a worthy stop.

I’ve been here a few of times when they’re at Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center and Mira Mesa High School. I’ve only tried 2 things — the truffle Parmesan fries and the lobster grilled cheese. I don’t get the lobster grilled cheese every single time. It’s pretty good. But I definitely get the truffle fries. They’re really good and I’d recommend it. Just like all food trucks, the food is on the pricey side.

I paid my first visit to Devilicious(D) at the Great American Foodie Fest at Qualcomm Stadium … and I simply must re-visit this truck at some point. There were lots of delicious-sounding items on the food truck’s menu, but I had my eye set on one thing — grilled cheese. There’s a lot of tantalizing fried options available at D – fries, melts, you name it – and I was torn between several different options when trying to choose dinner. A friend and I went to several different food trucks and split several things, so I would get to try as many of the menu items that I had my eyes on. This stop at Devilicious was specifically for the grilled cheese, but even at that, I had to decide which grilled cheese sando to get … Here’s what we ended up getting, as well as what I want to order on my next visit to D: «Duck Confit Grilled Cheese»: This sweet-and-savory sando featured shredded duck confit, caramelized red onions, gruyère and mozzarella cheeses and honey port reduction on freshly baked artisan sourdough bread. I ordered my sandwich without the caramelized red onions, but the sando still sported lots of great flavors. The duck confit was shredded nicely and you got that savory flavor from the meat coupled with the honey port reduction that dripped out of the sandwich with every bite. I also loved the blend of cheeses that was present – there was a sufficient amount of cheese that resulted in an ooey, gooey concoction that was prevalent in every single bite. I was torn between this grilled cheese and the lobster grilled cheeses(which I still want to try), but I’m glad that I got the duck confit for my first order from Devilicious. The bread was perfectly toasted – not too crunchy, but not soggy – and I savored every finger-licking bite. My friend enjoyed the sandwich as well. «Truffled Parmesan Fries»: If I want a snack from this truck, this is what I would order. It features black truffle oil and parmesan cheese. I’m a huge fan of fries covered in cheese, and the truffle oil is sure to make it even more savory. «Pork Belly Melt»: A different friend raved about this sandwich before, so I have to try it on my next visit to D. It consists of smoked pork belly, caramelized shallots, gruyère and mozzarella cheeses, crispy Brussels and fig balsamic reduction on freshly baked artisan sourdough. I would order my melt sans the shallots, but everything else in there sounds really good. Definitely can’t wait to taste that savory pork belly and I’m sure the melt features a subtly sweet taste, thanks to the fig balsamic reduction. «Buffalo Chicken Melt»: I’m a huge fan of buffalo chicken sandwiches, so I can’t wait to try this option one day. It features thinly sliced chicken breast and caramelized onions with lettuce, habanero jack cheese, blue cheese and buffalo sauce on a French sandwich roll. I would get my sandwich sans the caramelized onions, but the medley of cheeses sounds great … especially that blue cheese. I would probably ask about the spiciness level of this sandwich before ordering it, but I do love the slight kick from buffalo chicken sauce that’s coupled with blue cheese. «Cubano»: I recently discovered my love for pulled pork, which makes this specific sandwich sound super appealing. It includes hickory smoked ham off the bone, smoked pork shoulder, Swiss cheese, garlic pickles and Dijon on freshly baked artisan sourdough. I would get my sandwich sans the pickles(too bad I don’t like pickles, since I do like garlic flavors). But I’m sure the combo featuring ham, pork shoulder, Swiss and Dijon is award-winning. I don’t usually like mustard with the exception of Dijon, so this sandwich is a must-try for me. «Butter Poached Lobster Grilled Cheese»: This is the other grilled cheese sandwich that I really want to try. It features butter poached lobster tail meat, melted jack and cheddar cheeses, caramelized onions and roma tomatoes on freshly baked artisan sourdough. I would be fine without the onions and tomatoes, but I really look forward to trying the lobster meat-and-cheese combo. I’ve had lobster mac and cheese before, and it was really good, so I’m sure I would really love this lobster-infused grilled cheese option.

On a recent longass international flight, I watched the feel-good drama movie«Chef», where Jon Farveau reinvents himself and opens a Latin inspired food truck making meaty tasty looking Cubano sandwiches for $ 7…not greatest movie, but it left me craving a cubano, badly! Its $ 9 for the real life Delivious food truck version of the Cubano sandwich… this was pretty darn good, but also pretty darn small! Its on sliced bread, not a long roll. I was still feeling hungry afterwards, but I didn’t feel like paying another $ 9, nor $ 4 for fries… the motto is «Food is so good its bad»…the food is good, but the portion/price ratio is very bad. But to be honest, its probably enough of food for a sorority girl, a child, or a midget, but not for a grown 6ft-2inch 190lb male. As with all food trucks: No free water, no place to sit, no bathroom, nowhere to wash your hands, etc… it also doesn’t help that I know of a little place in Clairemont that serves a bigger Cubano sandwich and with fries or a salad for only $ 5.95.

One of the better food trucks that frequent the UTC area. I found the truck parked in front of ProFlowers and decided to buy some lunch. After looking at the menu I saw the Buffalo Chicken Melt. I thought this was a pretty funky grilled cheese sandwich so I said what the hell. The sandwich came with a salad(mixed greens) with a lightly dressed vinaigrette. The sandwich to my surprise was on a roll, not a grilled cheese type thing that I was expecting. No problem. This roll was generously loaded with chicken, onions, buffalo sauce. So much so that I was able to pick out some of the insides with a fork before I was able to use my hands and eat it. The chicken was a bit dry and some was pretty burnt but I appreciate the fact they use real chicken not the fake processed chicken strips that some places use. Overall the sandwich really delivered on what I was looking for. While I may not order this particular sandwich again, there is enough here to try Devilicious again. Recommended.
