Dexter Lo Photography

I have been meaning to write this review for a VERY long time as it is much deserved! I had heard through friends that Dexter was an amazing photographer but it is something that has to be experienced to truly understand. YES all the photos turned out amazing but what was even more amazing was Dexter’s ability to roll with it. What do I mean by that??? As you can imagine trying to photograph 2 crazy (crazy is an understatement) kids is near impossible. What I loved the most was that Dexter never really tried to «stage» the photos too much, he simply just caught my kids in action and in turn really allowed my kids personalities to shine through. One great example of this is when during our photo shoot at Balboa Park a random puppy distracted my kids and kept getting in the shot. Instead of Dexter getting frustrated or moving the puppy he just incorporated it into an amazing photo! Enough cannot be said about Dexter’s ability and his professionalism and I would recommend him for ANY event if you are looking for AMAZING memories!!!

We had a hard time trying to find a photographer for our wedding but we are so glad that we were referred to Dexter. He is an amazing photographer and we clicked with his great personality :) He’s very passionate with his work and very helpful. He also cares about what you want and what feeling you want to get out of your pictures. We did an engagement shoot and I told him I wanted something out of the ordinary.(Southern California fields or beach theme) so he referred us to the UCSD campus because they had great architecture… and they did! We just loved our photos and we couldn’t say enough about him. We could go on about him but. Not only are we glad he was our photographer but we also consider him as a new friend to :)

When my husband and I did our research on photographers for our wedding, we had an idea of the style we were looking for. We wanted a photographer who had an artistic eye instead of the run of the mill posed pictures.
During our engagement and wedding shoots, Dexter definitely exceeded all expectations. He was able to use different angles, lighting, and situations to capture the time, relationships, and emotions together. He has the mad skill of using anything to be an amazing backdrop for your pictures or as part of the story of your day. Every time I show off his pictures, I’m always impressed by how he made everything so beautiful.
We also really liked how professional and friendly Dexter is. Since my husband and I are both camera shy, he was able to put us at ease during our time. He edited our pictures and returned them to us in record time (we got to see some of them during our honeymoon).
In short, Dexter is AMAZING and worth every penny for how awesome he makes you look.

Dexter is a fantastic photographer and skilled artist. He knows his stuff with his camera and equipment. One thing I also appreciate about how this photographer does his job is his passion for making you look beautiful in any setting! I mean, I sometimes feel really uncomfortable having my picture taken but he not only makes you feel relaxed but also sassy and sexy! My husband also said he felt like a stunning model! He is also really good with time management the day of the wedding and post production. In fact, we were the ones, who were slacking off deciding which pictures to include in our album because everything was sooo good! So if you want that wedding and engagement photos of yours to bring back wonderful memories every time you look at it, make sure to hire Dexter. His cost is also reasonable, it’s almost a steal for the quality of his service and products! Thanks Dexter for a job well done.
