Update to my review — Lisa, proprietess, responded VERY promptly to my email relaying my less than stellar experience and while I will not be taking advantage of her offer to collect my second order — I am VERY appreciative of her interest in making things right and her responsiveness. Many times, especially with a «deal» redemption — you feel like no one cares. She obviously is concerned and wants to resolve the miscommunication. *** So so so disappointed. I attempted to order with Lisa via email for a specific pick up date. I was informed that the date was already full so I immediately selected one a week later. I advised her that I had TWO Living Social deals and that I would love to redeem both at same time but that if I could not(completely understandable) — I would pass my second deal off to a friend so they too could try her meals. I got back a one-line email acknowledging that my order would be ready for pick up. That’s it. So I went over to Windmill Farms — so much easier to find than I’d expected. Del Cerro is not one of my regular haunts. I asked for my order of 10 single-size entrees. Out comes a ripped, damp paper bag with five meals in it. No heating instructions, no invoice, not even the meals I had ordered. Counter guy at WF looked petrified that I was going to interrogate him about the order — not his fault so of course, I didn’t. At check out lane when purchasing some other items — they graciously offer to replace the unusable bag with a new one. Imagine my surprise that written on the about-to-be-discarded bag was an explanation why I got two of one meal — she ran out when filling my order. I have tried the Beef Burgundy with noodles — more tomatoes that how mom used to make. Mac n cheese with chicken — cheese was a bit meh. Scallions added a nice crunch. Neither meal made me purr. They were more like my usual frozen dinners in different packaging. As a single woman who eats out too frequently — I loved the idea of convenient, tasty entrees as an alternative. I did not find one.

The previous orders that we’d gotten from Dinner A Go Go were so much better, I don’t know what happened this time. The sauces were bland, vegetables were mushy, and I could barely get the slimy skin off the salmon and ended up with some of the scales in my mouth. The salmon and vegetables was inedible. Of 4 different dishes we got, only one of them was halfway decent and that was only after adding a generous amount of my own seasoning. Not as good as it used to be, which is disappointing because I always look forward to Lisa’s food.

I heard about this service from Living Social. I love everything I’ve ordered, and I have been back a few times. The vegetables are fresh and the meat is always tender.

Having never tried a meal prep service like this, we weren’t sure what to expect. What we got was fantastic restaurant quality food. We used a deal but will be back for more.

Got the Sampler pack, 5 individual servings. for $ 40 which is Priced more than fair considering even fast food can be more expensive than $ 8 a meal and this is much healthier. Sampler Pack is a great Idea and can feed up to 4 people if you all share everything in one evening. List The items I got and short review. Asian Tacos — Superb! A++ The steak was tender, very inventive to have grilled squash and rice with I feared the meat would be chewy or dry but just microwaved for 1 – 1⁄12 min only adding 30 sec each time to not over heat comes with tortillas which I quickly pan grilled. Awesome so fresh and tasty as I cooked it in my own kitchen! It was overall my my favorite item and super tasty! Will order again! Cherry Pork Tenderloin — Soooo tender! I’ve never really liked pork loin, and this changed my mind… and it was re-heated in microwave… to my surprise also was still juicy and tender! But the roasted potatoes it came with were not meant to be refrigerated and re-heated it looses the fresh crunch in the fridge so opt for different side. Cajun Red Rice — Wow great idea and so many good ingredients like celery, onion beans, and bacon… bacon definitely is what made this meal flavorful! But still seemed like it lacked something I bet if I just added salt maybe would have been better. So not a «bad» dish. Also after reheating this dish rice can be very dry. So I rate it o.k. Chicken Parmigiana & Orzo — Loved the chicken, was juicy and loved the Orzo! It just needed more tomato sauce… lots more sauce! Maybe just ask for more sauce when ordering Cuban Pot Roast — The meat was dry. I know this from making stew all the time. Meat needs to be tenderized(cooked much longer) till falling apart… and stored covered in stew to maintain moisture. But the stew was good. and the Mashed Potatoes were also good Overall…priced good for good food! Best way is to try it yourself… order the sampler it’s a great idea!

This is one of the best things in town. Chef Lisa has a wide repertoire of recipes. She makes everything from old fashioned comfort food to things that you would never think of. She lightens up the old fashioned food by reducing the fat and calories, but never reduces the taste. She has a great sense of food combinations and will help you figure out what you need. She is always willing to substitute or adjust something and is very flexible. Half orders easily feeds my husband and I, and sometimes our daughter, as well. I love the salads and the sampler pack. A lot of the food can be frozen, which is great when you have forgotten to plan for dinner! This place is great!

If you’re busy, have kids, need a break from cooking, or all of the above this place is money. I recently was introduced to this business by a friend of mine, and went to the website. It as super convenient that I could order online, and it would be ready for me to pick up in two days. There were so many tempting items, that I decided to go with the sampler pack for $ 40. I got 5 items that served one each. I loved the Eggplant Parmigana, Cuban Pot Roast, and Shepherd’s Pie. The Chicken Pot Pie was good, but it wasn’t a traditional pot pie. It was chicken and vegetables wrapped in pie pastry, so there wasn’t really the creaminess of a traditional pot pie. I also had the chicken enchiladas which were just ok. What I really like is that she doesn’t over-season anything so the flavors are true and you can add if you want more salt or pepper. Everything is really fresh as well.

Lisa the owner and Chef is really sweet, she has a great thing going at Dinner a Go Go. She is very accommodating and wants to please. Dinner A Go Go has a different menu for each month filled with healthy and satisfying dinners. Pick up is easy and the prices are right. Most of the times they are hits but sometimes there is a dud of a meal.
