Well, this is my very first Unilocal review, which I felt compelled to make after seeing all the negative feedback for this office.
i have been coming here since 2009, and each and every time it has been a quick and easy experience. The staff has always been very friendly (I have had Melinda 3 times in a row and she’s great), and Dr. Fleming is the kind of no-​nonsense guy I like. He’s not out to nickel and dime you, and you only get done what you absolutely need.
Anyway, I hope this has been helpful, and I would definitely recommend Dr. Fleming’s office for anyone looking for a new dentist.

My family and I have gone to Dr. Fleming for years. He is caring, honest, and to the point. His office runs efficiently, and always make the experience quick and easy. All the dental hygienists in the office are down to earth, and thorough. I always get a call to schedule my appointment and a reminder a few days before. After running into some dentistry that has lacked integrity in the past, I will never go anywhere else. Thank you Dr. Fleming and staff.

I’ve been here twice for cleanings since Sept. 2014. Both times my teeth were cleaned by Melinda, who is sweet as can be, and then they were examined (briefly) by Dr. Fleming afterwards. I find that the negative reviews are kind of absurd… Yes, it is true that once my cleaning was done, they told the dentist «Exam in room 5…» but why should that bother anyone? People seem to be nit-​picky about the silliest things.
I rated this office based on things that really mattered to me:
(1) They got me in for a cleaning as soon as they could, and they informed me when someone had cancelled their appointment (which worked out perfectly for me)
(2) The front desk is straight forward but kind & competent, even bright and early at an 8AM appointment
(3) I gave them my insurance card once and they handled everything. No issues with billing.
(4) My dental hygienist, Melinda, is friendly and superb! She got the coffee stains off my teeth… THANKS Melinda!

If you are looking for fanciful clinic with all the technological fancy bells and whistles, and stuff with fake friendly smiles, this place is not for you. If you are looking for good old fashioned and painless dentistry from a dentist whose is not going to try to bill you for unneeded or out right invented issues, than Dr. Fleming is your man. Do not expect to be pampered, but no one here is going tell you need root canals or expensive work done, unless it is truly needed. And they know how to work around your insurance, to keep your out of pocket expenses minimum. And no, they do not use amalgam for fillings.

I’ve been going to Dr. Fleming my entire life, and, honestly, I have no idea what any of these other negative reviews are talking about. He’s an extremely nice man, who does great work. Everyone at his office is nice, attentive, and efficient, and they all make dentistry, which is an unpleasant experience in general, as nice as it can be. I hate going to the dentist, but I love going to Dr. Fleming.
Dr. Fleming is an extremely experienced, and caring man, and I’ll keep going there as long as I can.

Dr Flemming himself was super nice and the girls that helped him were always very attentive and kind, BUT your business reflects on the crotchety old lady that schedules appointments up front. What a jerk! Im tired of being called non stop until I make the appointment then when I do call to schedule the conversation always puts me in a bad mood and I feel like I’m inconveniencing her! God forbid you ever ask her a question because she will make you feel like a child. Im off to find another dentist that respects our business!

Dr Fleming and his staff are unfortunately very rude and crotchety seniors.
The entire time I had people zooming from door to door yelling who needs what, and the doctor was hopping from mouth to mouth like a cricket. When I finally got my teeth cleaned, it supposedly wasn’t the deep cleaning yet she mainly was scraping my gums. My mouth kept filling with bloody water. So everytime I winced the lady was screaming in my face OPEN OPEN OPEN!!! or WIDE MOUTH WIDE MOUTH WIDE MOUTH!!! And slapping the inside of my mouth with the pick.
Like damn, I know my insurance is covering this but they won’t cover any other teeth you break, or any other ‘inci-​dentals’.
She felt the need to semi shout at me (in case anyone had heard me yipping) YOU KNOW WHY IT HURTS? Cause you haven’t had a cleaning in forever!’ Um. Excuse me?
They used a very old technology like the x-​ray machine that you have to bite down on 20 big pieces of cardboard individually until they’re done. My mouth was rubbed raw by the end. Nobody introduced themselves whatsoever and plus they speak at you instead of to you. Nobody had time for or interest in any small talk. Also the doctor screams when he talks, and he has very very shaky hands, which is un nerving.
So I call my friend to curse her out for referring me to this treacherous place and she had the same gripes as me but claims they did a really good job with her fillings so I should go back, but just ask them for anesthesia. For whatever reason, I did. And they came out nicely. Did a great and fast job. Although now I’m worried that I may not have even needed them because of what everyone else is saying.

Been going to Dr. Fleming for about 20 years. If you want a Dentist with a lot of experience you’ve come to the right place. Excellent Dentist and they are hard to find. Very personable and quick.

Awful experience. I was a first time patient and came here because of new insurance of which he’s in the network. I checked out the reviews online (incl. Unilocal) which seemed fine and figured I’d give him a try. It’s a very old school office with outdated equipment. For example, they still use the old style small film x-​rays and it looks like the place has been looking this way for decades. The x-​ray radiation guard had a rip on it. The woman who came to get me didn’t introduce herself, which I’d expect (and is normal) since I’m a new patient and she did my x-​rays. That’s minor though compared to all else.
She left me in the room to develop them and I could hear a woman knocking on doors in the hallway now and then loudly saying things like «Exam in room 5». I’ve never experienced that before at any medical facility. She came back in with Dr. Fleming, a senior, probably in his 70’s. He didn’t introduce himself, say hello, or address me by my name. He just shot out a few questions relating to the paperwork I had to fill out and my last dentist visit. He held the x-​ray card (with the little film rectangle x-​rays in it) to the light above me. Then, with shake hands, he looked at my teeth and called out codes to the asst. He asked a couple more questions and then he told the woman to have me talk to so-​and-​so and he walked out without saying anything to me. I was left there and another woman came in to ask if I was doing okay. I asked for water and she brought me a cup of water. Then the receptionist came to get me and took me back to the front. I had not idea what was going on. The Dr. didn’t explain anything to me about what he wanted to do, when, why, and what exactly I needed. So, of course he didn’t even show me the x-​rays of my teeth. Any other dentist I’ve been to as far as I can remember, showed me the x-​rays, pointed out what he/​she saw, what he/​she suggests to be done, and what he/​she can do. The receptionist said dollar amounts and for how many fillings. I asked what they were. She also explained how the insurance would only cover 3 that don’t show up on the x-​ray per year. Huh? Don’t show on the x-​rays? Then she gave me a referral slip for an oral surgeon. Again, I had to ask what for. She said to have my Wisdom tooth removed. I said it doesn’t bother me and it’s still beneath my gums. She then said how it will be a problem and what will happen if I don’t…putting fear in me, although it’s up to me to go forward with it. I told her other dentists said I could leave it alone since it’s not affecting me and she said «Well they aren’t good dentists then.» When I asked about what would be done in my next appointment, she said she didn’t know. Whatever he wanted and would have time for, pointing out how crazy it was. Yet, there was no one in the lobby and she had many openings to choose from in the next couple of days. It appears that he just does whatever he wants when people show up and the patients don’t really know what to expect. I called to ask for my x-​rays and they wouldn’t release them. I’d have to wait 10 or so days for copies to get made and pay $ 35.
Needless to say, I left very disappointed and with an odd negative feeling about the whole thing. The worst dentist office experience ever. So, I called my dentist (who I was sad to leave) and went for a second opinion. I explained what had happened, we looked at my x-​rays I’d taken at his office before, and a couple new ones to double check. There was no work that NEEDED to be done like Dr. Fleming said. And «not showing up on x-​rays» by Dr. Fleming’s office is a red flag. Also, the receptionist said decay/​bad fillings to be fixed and when I called back for clarification of the teeth and needs, another woman (asst. to Dr. Fleming) said cavities. Another red flag. Those that «didn’t show on x-​rays» were fine. And my dentist found a couple things that Dr. Fleming missed, but can be left alone for now… just need to watch them. I will NOT be returning to Dr. Fleming and felt I had to write this Unilocal review for the truth to be known.

Have to update, I had a tooth that needed to be filled. Didn’t feel a thing but a month later the tooth is hurting and is sensitive to cold. Now looking for a new dentist!

I have been going to Dr Fleming office for approx 6 years. The hygienist do a great job with cleanings, and only takes about 20 – 30 mins. Dr Fleming is always fun, always has a good story to tell. He provides great care, and gives honest opinions. His prices are great, and his solutions practical. He isn’t trying trying to make money off his patients. If you don’t take care of your teeth, he will let you know!!!” I would recommend his practice to family and friends.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Fleming for years now and I cannot say enough good things about him. Anyone who knows me knows I have always been scared to go to the dentist. I had a very bad dental experience in my teens and it has affected me to this day. I told them that from day one of being his patient and they have never made me feel anything but comfortable. They are patient, understanding and do not take my concerns lightly. They understand my wanting nitrous oxide even to have my teeth cleaned and are always accommodating and supportive.
Unlike the first dentist that we went to when we moved here, he is very reasonable, treats us like we want to be treated and goes out of his way to address our concerns and does not try to get us to spend money on anything we cannot afford to do. And even the ones he suggests, he explains why he thinks they are needed, the cost and that is the end of it unless we bring it up.
The first dentist we saw when we moved here, had flavored oxygen, a massage chair, only dealt in high end materials and gave you no choice about materials equally as good, offered massages to keep you calm during procedures, charges such exorbitant
fees our insurance would not approve the simplest procedures and were NO BETTER, in my opinion, no where near as good as Dr. Fleming and his staff. He cares about his patients, as does his staff. We get the best possible care and I never dread going to the dentist… you won’t find better care. My husband and I highly recommend him.

Great dentist! No games, no unnecessary work. And should you be a little short on funds til your next payday, his office is flexible about payment. (He did the dental work that day, but they held my check for 8 days before cashing it!)

Dr Fleming has been my family Dentist for as long as I can remember and now I bring my 2 young boys here. The waiting room has very comfortable leather seats, but you dont sit in them long because we are always in and out. The staff is very professional and friendly and Dr Fleming is very personable and always has a new funny story to tell! I highly recomend for quality care!

Had a great first visit with Dr. Fleming. No nonsense or trying to sell everything under he stars.

I liked him initially but found out he was a jerk. I stopped going to him after he yelled at me in the office then labeled what he called a «defect» as a cavity in order to get insurance money. When I left and went to a different dentist and my imaging was requested to be transfered to my new dentist they withheld some of these xrays causing me to be charged for imaging that was already performed. I personally believe they are dishonest.

Dr. Fleming is a great dentist! I had a cavity and didn’t feel a thing when he fixed it! Nice staff, big office, couldn’t be happier with the results. I have super clean, healthy teeth thanks to Dr. Fleming! Definitely recommend going to see Dr. Fleming for a dentist who is thorough, honest, and takes the time to go over everything with you.

I love Dr. Fleming. He doesn’t find a bunch of phantom cavities that must be filled to the tune of thousands of dollars, he’s all about preventative care and not about filling his pockets with unnecessary cosmetic procedures. Dr. Fleming is old school. And he has a lending library for his patients. Good with kids, too. My kids haven’t had a problem, and my niece, who cried everywhere else, had no problem either.
